When I first met my fiancee I never thought she'd be someone I'd be romantically involved with. But then we started talking and connecting as friends and immediately she became attractive and that there was no one else I would want to be with.
Physical attractiveness is important, but I'm definitely on the side that an emotional bond that makes you love the person inside absolutely is more important in the long run and will change how attracted you are to a person.
And that takes time to really get to know someone, even if it's just casual friendly talking or hanging out with them.

Another problem with this show is that they are able to confer with the girls/boys in the backstage before and after, spoiling the point of the blindfolds and the show in general by putting in pre-conceived notions about the person that rejected the person before them. It's a show that's created for drama, playing it straight to the rules makes for a less "entertaining" show. They aren't trying to prove or explore interesting questions about human behavior, just trying to make the viewers as emotionally engaged as possible. Every decision they make as a show makes more sense under that reasoning.

My school bus driver had such a huge impact on every kid in my neighborhood. I grew up in a small town and the bus driver lived right in the middle of the neighborhood and she would let us use the bus as a hideout all the time. Every culture has their own definition of conventionally attractive. Around my friends (mostly asian guys), they much prefer girls who are slim and cutesy. However, I just recently went to my family friend’s party and the (not asian) guys there were saying the girls on the tv were “kinda flat”; and even this whole culture thing is still me generalizing
Basically, some guys like slim, some guys like curvy, some guys like chubby, some guys like tall, some guys like short
Also, I didn’t mention anything about what women like here because I believe same scenario applies but not entirely sure as I don’t have many female friends and I may be an outlier who is way more attracted to personality

It would be cool to make them go out on a date even after they take their blindfolds off although I feel like the people who are on this dating show in the first place are more so looking towards getting laid than being in an actual relationship, hence why they look for attractive people over personalities (not that you can get to know someone within 2 minutes of meeting them anyways)
