  • Getting professional results when painting woodworking projects takes approximately 90% Preparation and 10% Application. At www.daileywoodworks.com/ we do all our building and finishing in-house.
Getting a quality and durable finish is essential. A good paint job can make a mediocre project look great, but a poor paint job can make the best-built piece look like junk.
The process I use for painting these pocket doors is the same process I use for anything I paint.

I do as well. I figured it’s the thing I like the least so I’m going to get as good at it as possible and invest as much money in it as possible to make it go faster and easier

Looks great, I like your procedures. I’m new to the spraying game. Just curious how do you go about charging for a job like that?
Thanks, have a great holiday season🎄

There was a third door that was a different color that I didn’t show on film.
I charged $1800 total because they needed a lot of prep work.
If they came to me “ready to paint” I could have charged a good bit less. Also the door holder jig I made drastically reduced my time.
So if I picked up a door from the store. I could prime and paint it for about $300 in my shop.
      Hope that helps.
