Just bought Squad a few days ago and got so confused. Your videos helped a lot. Having a ton of fun now. Thank you!
Glad I've been able to help you out!
@@Gorlami14 what do u press to show an enemy on map as I press on map with right mouse Button but nothing works
@@themklyfe9283 right click and choose an icon
@@themklyfe9283 well first you need to either be a squad leader or a fire team leader to place any marks. If you are one of those you have to press Caps lock to bring up the command map. Then you can right click to place markers wherever you want. You can also use T to bring up the dial for marks. Being a fire team leader is a useful tool 100% of the time and they can easily be assigned back and forth between people that need to mark stuff.
Thank you so much i am downloading squad rn and needed this
My pleasure! Good luck in-game!
Another great video Gor! The map is the most important tool in squad and needs a lot more focus for all players!
Thank you! It really is!
Your tips are really helping man I appreciate you 🙏🏻
This is great. Only had Squad 10 hours and have gone on to server twice. Both times I didnt know where my squad was or the enemy. Thanks for this lesson.
Been playing 2 years and didn't think I would learn much from this, but was still plenty I can use in my style.
Yo awesome Format! Thank you for the guide!
Thank you! Was nervous to do a guide recorded live since I'm so used to scripting everything. Glad you liked it!
Great guide as always 👌
Thank you!
Well made guide and deffinetly something new which I like! 😁
Thank you so much! Was nervous to do something in a live format, so I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the tips! :D
I have a little note were I've calculated the diagonal to give me a bit more info! (roughly 300m=425m, 100m=140m)
Some random guy gave me the tip! I appreciate how helpful the community can be on learning servers!
Don't usually li8ke vids but this was so helpful thank you!
Great guide :)
Thank you!
Great guide, appreciate the tips. Still struggling a bit after trying to get back into it. I think the 5 people constantly talking in both squad and local makes it too hard to determine whats going on, as I can't always look away to look at the person talking. Rage quit a few times but really want to enjoy this game, can tell the devs have put a lot of work into it.
FOB Radii is also important depending on a servers rules, some use 150m and 300m main engagement rules which correspond to the inner and outer rings
Love your explanation.
Just one question how to avoid shooting your friend in a distance
Boy you lucky those deuces saved your outro after dropping 'um ya that's all I got for you' twice in 60secs?..good stuff again
Isn’t it odd that the bot and the person who responded “verifying” what the bot is saying and they were created one day apart
With a map alone you can win and lead as long as some give accurate markings. You can predict enemy movement, give precise movement orders and win
Would you make a video showing the secrets and interesting point of the maps?
maybe the best places to deploy a FOB
I'm so new I was like 😮wtf.. there's two maps😂😂
The arrow icons are also useful as a squad leader. Both have pros and cons.
Yeah I used to always use arrows to see where people were looking, but I got so tired of hovering over players to see which kit they are that I had to make the switch.
is there any current squad teams every time i go on it;s just a free for all
When fire team leader puts a mark, does others in the map see it?
Can you do tutorial for toggle to sprint? My fingers get tired of holding shift. You’d think they’d make it by now given how big the maps are
There is a double tap to walk feature, but you'd still have to hold the shift key. Currently there isn't any way to change the sprint key to toggle.
@@Gorlami14 Thanks, Gor. They really should address that AND the need to press M for minimap all the time. They need to build it in like America's Army did, into the little corner of the screen.
@@Christian-mt5jx No one said to get rid of the big map. Just make that mini map onto the screen. There’s no realism when it comes to map. The map in Squad is the least realistic thing in the game. You literally can see everyone and everything moving in real time. It’s Arcady. So really, there’s not much of a sane reason to keep making us open and close the map to see if we’re heading in the right direction. It’s just busy work that adds nothing into the game. Putting the map onto a little corner of the screen takes away nothing from the experience. Go look at America’s Army 2.8. That’s how it should be done.
Hey its supposed to be realistic. Since we can't get your actual legs tired, we can make your pinky ache and sweat. Now for the ultimate experience ; Before making that run to the next objective, give me 50 push-ups soldier......
What are the colored straight lines?
WHAT ARE THE LINES/ARROWS???
the distance lines on the map would not be 300m from corner to corner on a 300m square the distance would be 425m so keep that in mind if you are shooting far diagonally
Good ol pythagorean theorem
5:20 How did you throw out an attack mark without using the commo-rose?
Settings > Controls > Voice/Command > Assign a keybind to "Place Attack Order"
@@Gorlami14 Legend. Thank you
How do you plot targets on the map?
You have to be either a squad leader or fire team leader. Do it using right click through the caps lock map.
"M is too far"
ME, plays world of warcraft using (1,2,3,4,5,6,q,e,r,t,f,c,z,x,v,b,y,g,h,` and shift+ combo of all these keys)...
Yeah... I'm K with tapping M :D
Is it possible to keybind toggle arrow vs. kit icons???
Unfortunately it is not possible.
@@Gorlami14 Thanks, love your vids
you still play? just got my first gaming pc and bought squad :D
what are AT and zappers
AT is anti-tank, and the word is actually "sapper" and its another name for a combat engineer, which is a kit that can lay mines and other explosives.
Fob radii is blue, what about the outer gray what does it mean?
The outer gray is where no other radios can be placed which has a 300 meter radius. Meaning the next closest radio can be placed 301 meters away.
You can put the second radio 301m away and then build the hab for that radio further inside if you want
I like this game but I don’t know what to do in game 🤦🏻
i got a server that marked a british bulldog with a mbt marker
Big yikes
i alwys end up joining the one squad that is completely silent
Why doesn't one use the CAPS map instead of the M map?
Caps is interactive map.
Idk why I’m commenting on this a year later lmao. I’m sure you found out by now.
thanks for your comment, i was advocating for use of the caps map and not the m@@Iautocorrect
Bro you got some small hands if m is to far away from wasd
SHAVE
My mom says I'm handsome
with my ridicolously long fingers i can push M without ever stop touching WASD
Slenderman over here. That's good though so you can use the other keys for more keybinds if you want to.
@@Gorlami14 yeah im like exactly that type of person that is taller, yet lighter than everyone else
but thanks for the tip i will definitly customize my keybord more
isn't this the socks dude?
the coordinates were a big thing in project reality too.For example ''H3, keypad 9, subkeypad 6'' you divide H3 the way your keypad on your keyboard is:
789
456
123
And you have your grid. It was a fun and hardcore way to pass location info. If you wanted to make an even more accurate mark, you further seperated keypad into subkeypad. So top left corner of the square would be H3 kp 7 sb7.
This is a great guide, but you are doing it way too fast for a new player to follow along.
Play a couple of games then come back to this. It will be much easier to comprehend.
Sort the colour out on your face wth
I prefer you to say "so" than "ah/ahm" all the time....
who tf cares
I prefer he say "Silly rabbit, tricks are for kids".
What were you about to say to ATs before you were interrupted at the end of grid callout section? This video came on as I was doing things in the other room and I came in during that part just to get trolled by your chat
