Is gtx 1060 3gb good enough for squad
@@lilreichy4614 i run on a crappy 960m although its got 4gb
Use the bathroom before you play squad. Can not recommend this enough.
(lol)
Josh Dymond how long does the average squad game last?
Dude, have a challenge and play it with explosive shits đ
@@cadinnelson5168 hour and a half
Adult diapers my friends. This is the way.
Finally someone that does a serious guide on squad. I started playing It 2 Years ago and the squad community especially on CZcams was really small, i found really difficult to enjoy the game. Thank you karmakut for all the job you are doing to improve the Number of Squad players
I would love to see a Escape from Tarkov version too.
@@hausvonreussmilitaryacadem8459 yeah me Too. Eft has a big potential but until the release on steam the community will still be small
@@johnstock3282 huge??? From what version you are playing squad
Lol shut up kid
@@NeverQuit87 What?
Step 1:
Don't reload every 2 shots, reloading half-full mags just puts the used mags back into your inventory... you have no ammo reserve, so by reloading all the time, all you're doing is just cycling those used magazines back into your inventory.
*_Cough cough_*
The thought process is "But what if I need to dump a whole mag for any reason?"
@Fak Gooby
Nah, that's just part of the mindeset. The main mindset most of the time is that since you're not penalised in any way for reloading excessively in most shooters, it just gets ingrained into your brain to do it since you've done it dozens of other Shooters, why not this one?
@@Manglet762 It's actually something that has long bothered my brain in games. I'm not a hyper-gun person irl, but I have shot handguns both in the military and back home, and even if you carry a box of ammo on you, reloading the bullets into your magazine takes time. In most shooters, you have some kind of magic backpack you chunk your magazines into and some robots reload them for you or SOMEthing, but irl, you have to reload those bullets 1 by one (or I guess there are some reloading devices, but you still have to reload them), and something about games doing this has always been weird to me. The only guns that seem to function logically are shotguns or energy weapon type guns (since I GUESS battery energy/plasma weapons COULD work that way...), and more rarely, lever action type guns (like the Hunting Rifle in Remnant: From the Ashes)
So there's this habit to reload as soon as you fire any rounds, but I think the trick is to consider how many rounds you're likely to be firing and manage your ammo more appropriately. If you have a magazine with less than 15 rounds, it might be a good time to reload...but then again, it might not be, depending on the situation. But if you have a magazine with 28 rounds still in it, reloading is a poor move.
Honestly, it's all about sticking to your squad and being effective. I have TONS of new players just spawning on the other side of the map playing solo.
I usually kick them from my squad, when they do that. Teamwork makes dreamwork.
@@ProAverageGuy You probably should try to teach them not kick them. They're new players a bit of guidance is needed. If they ignore you then you can kick them.
@@ProAverageGuy kicking for not playing as a team . That isn't right we play game for fun don't be serious
@@mikayel1778 if people don't wanna play in a Squad, but only join so they can get the marksman kit, then i'm not really gonna waste my time teaching them anything. I don't kick new players, i kick players who don't wanna follow my lead.
@@swarnankaroy7706 Yeah go play BF or COD, pleb..
"How about heli-"
*No*
Lol so true. Been playing this game since a year and kinda got good with every role, trying a bit of everything, but that death machine... naay, leave it to the guy who has the magic to fly it.
i started squad 1 month ago and i know how to use everything
and fly a helicopter
Poliath and we care, why?
Bomb Banshee nobody said you had to care
This game reminds me so much of my adventure with BattleField 2 back in the days when it came out. We were a handful of gamers always playing with each other and had a squad leader named Bishop who was a real squad leader in the US. He thought the rest of us to be a effective squad usind the ARMA and Red orchestra as a traning platform. I'm 50 to day but God I miss these days like a little child, man! Been following Karma for over a year. And now I'm really wondering why I never bought SQUAD earlier?? This game COULD be the adventure I've been waiting for, for soooo loooong.. đđ Lots of Squad LOVE from the middle of Sweden đ
Listen my man if you have got a pc you still can play it ;)
jump back in the waters fine!
I just started playing today and I love it! I also use to play battlefield. In fact I played the original one, Battlefield 1942 a lot. I loved that game. That was the first time I ever experienced a large scale war game before.
I was playing battlefield 2 until this year and servers were full hahahaha
@@Schwing27 between you and the oc, I'm really thinking I may have played with you guys. Op mentioned bishop as a squad leader and man, that name rings a bell so bad. Would be pretty cool to know if I played with you guys. There was a core group for a while. Especially in 1942. Fordprefect420 was my tag on 360.
One time, we needed a heli pilot and one of our squadmates said he finished the heli training once. We lost the match but I was impressed on how effective he was as a pilot.
Dam this game is that realistic? So you telling me you can't just hop into helicopters and drive you have to train first ??
@@eddyd6403 nah itâs more so that they needed someone capable of piloting a heli
lol i remember the first time playing it, i bought it for me and a friend, we, coming from a battlefield background, created our own squad, grabbed a vehicle and immediatly headed to the action (only the two of us) while everyone else on our team were insulting us for taking the vehicle... i feel bad for how cancerous we acted that first day
ripaxel dont worry haha. It's just a game
Lmao, some people get pissed! Itâs just a game. People take things way too seriously!
Newbie here đ spent 4 hours on squad and first thing I noticed is audio. So realistic. Grenade splinters flying by gives chill for first time .
Thank you for making this because I am absolutely terrible at Squad I got yelled at my first time playing.... didnt know what i was doing like at all.
Thanks Karmakut.
Just let people know you're new, that will decrease the yelling. But yelling will happen, like if you have a 50. Cal opening up next to you, then you have to yell, to hear your own voice đ
@@ProAverageGuy true story with my first squad experience
The first live game I attempted, I made it evry clear at the beginning that I'm new and don't know what I'm doing, and the SL recommended this guide (thank you, SL), and I didn't get yelled at, at all. Even though I was in the way and in the wrong place all of the time during the match, it was very helpful for the SL know he cannot count on me, and I got to experience the game first hand.
Other helpful tips for new players: look for a server with "new player friendly" in the name, and if at all possible, try the game out on a "Free weekend play" before you buy it. Everyone expects matches to be flooded with noobs then, and know to either dial down their expectations, or to lock their server with a password if playing with noobs is beneath them.
@@Vellereden first time I started playing I went in without a squad, and never stopped after that
Tell em to fuck off bro, let the 12 yr old squad lead it's just a game relax .Most players on here think they are real grunts, but never put on a ruck and snuggled a woobie.
Watching this while it's downloading since it's only $30 on steam rn!
Yall trying to squad up? I just switched to pc a couple days ago and need some new mates to run with!!
"It's gonna be loud." Not as loud as your mic Karma, not as loud as your mic.
A little note on tickets and time:
The importance of tickets vs time varies per game mode too. If you're playing AAS (Advance and Secure) your tickets will be more valuable.
If you're playing Invasion, the importance is different depending on if you're offense or defense. Defense starts with a massive number of tickets to hold the defensive positions where as offense is limited on both tickets and time to take the defensive positions.
Though if Karma is doing a full tutorial he'll touch on this difference later.
Thank you, finally I donât have to explain basic shit to new people. And new people can watch this and not get mad on the first game and uninstall right after.
Well im just mind blown over how realistic IT is, - and always chooce noob frie fly cus im new, very friendly players - most of the time đ€
First game I logged in, had some kid start yelling at me, logged out and that was 6 months ago. May give it another shot after this.
I keep getting shit for lone wolfing, but that isn't stopping me
1Orderchaos sometimes its better to stay alone when you have some stubborn and clueless squad leader thinking they are always in the right, i like going MG or Marksman and staying back or straying away of course they are two of the most hated roles for some reason ( probably because people are too incompetent to use them ) although i enjoy team play when my squad is actually friendly and orientated with no angry yapping squad leaders
I just got this game today and I had a blast
Only thing the in game tutorial taught me was I can not fly a chopper.
I'm not getting Squad for now. But I'm watching it anyway
i watched too many videos before i finally got into squad last week. i regret not getting it earlier, it's totally worth it!
X Ronixx X which can be disabled
X Ronixx X no, u can disable it server wide so everyone in the entire server cant use it
Im waiting for the next sale
@@bigheadman8590 sale today
I just wanted to say thanks because I recently wrote a comment explaining why you should do a Squad guide, and now you really are doing it.
So thanks for listening to your community, which sadly is not very common on CZcams.
Really looking forward to this series! I just got Squad from the Steam Halloween Sale and put in 6 hours straight on my first day. This game really is a gem! đ
Thanks for taking the time to do this video! I picked up the game earlier today and hopped into the tutorial and ran it twice. (Defiantly agree on that tip.. even the second run through helped.) Really excited to get into my first game, but first...onto part 2 :)
Awesome Part 1. Can't wait for the rest now. Thank you for taking the time out and making these for us grants
thanks karma, this seems really usefull, i'll certainly watch the rest of the guides.
I just started playing squad and have logged 10 hours so far, but one thing that got me used to infantry movement was playing in an armored vehicle squad. You get the clear the front line and help infantry advance, which helps you learn a lot about positioning since youâre in a âsaferâ vehicle and going in balls deep.
I purchased the squad leader founder kit before the game released, because of medical reasons i haven't played for over a year, the game has changed so much i'll have to relearn it all over, your tutorials are spot on, good work, you left out the fact that new players are welcome, and shown how to play, but i also recommend watching your tutorials first
I haven't even bought squad yet and I've watched about 60 videos thus far just about Squad and gameplay. Even the training grounds looks hella fun. Thanks for the tut :)
You are the best, Karma! Great job launching these guide series
I love this game and Iâve never played it. I just keep watching your videos knowing one day Iâm finally gonna have enough saved up to buy my first setup. Great video.
Lol Karmakut got fed up with noobs
I think we all are. It's cancer rn
I have to salute him, this by far the best example on how to deal with noobs.
A noob is playmate who doesn't yet know all the ins and outs.
@@nffctrickett The cancer is players with the "elite" superiority complex, and this applies to every video game.
@@rh4009 this shit happens in every damn game. how stupid can you be to be asshats to new players, which will keep your game relevant and alive...

Thank fuck, now I can play squad. Cheers you absolute legend
Thanks...I deeply required a video guide like these....keep up the good work
I've been gaming for 37 years and started on the atari 2600. I have never ventured into the world of PC gaming and kept it simple with just console gaming until just recently. I stumbled upon this game over on steam and figured it would be a great way to learn how to play using keyboard and mouse with it being not as fast paced as your typical console FPS games like Call Of Duty.
I have NEVER had a game captivate me like this and I have been trying my best to explain it to buddies. I don't have many games under the belt as I have been trying my best to stick with training to get used to movements first so this video helped a lot. I didn't realize there was that admin feature to change maps and that was exactly what brought me here now. Thank you for that. I know I'm new to pc gaming but my God this is some overwhelming stuff and just the scale and work that goes into making this is hard to fathom. But no game involving guns has kept me in a game for an hour before realizing I was having a blast and didn't even have a kill. And the first kill.... goosebumps... another gaming first. Superb game and great video that helps a lot
Great Training Video. Thank you
Iâve had this game for a few weeks but have been hesitant because of intimidation and not having anyone to play with. This vid was by far one of the most informative and confidence boosting Iâve seen. Thank you, Iâll be subscribing.
I always go in without any of my friends and run solo
Coming back once more to Squad, thanks for these! Cheers.
Thank you! I was a little overwhelmed first time joining a Server. Just bought the Game and it's so much fun.
Good on ya sir. Thank you for putting forth the effort to do this guide. Can only better the playerbase and in turn the game as a whole. +1 from me.
Amazing guide, this basically took away my fear of getting thrown in to the game without sufficient tutorial and ruining the game for everyone and myself.
Thanks for the tips karma
Thank you very much, your video is very good for some one like me that has not played before. there is so much out there in the Squad world that I would not have been able to use and interact with if it wasn't for this video. Thank you Karmakut
this was really helpful. i just bought squad during the recent steam sale.
I love this ideea, I want to start playing Squad and I am quite noob, so thank you, BTW your videos are great.
Really an excellent video, several new things for me.
Good timing, Karmakut! I just got Squad and a new video card to match. Great job.
Awesome video! Lots of great info I havent seen in other tutorials. Great job man, subscribed.
Just discovered your channel and videos a couple of days ago. I dont have the game as of yet but plan on getting it soon. So gonna keep watching this series and your other videos until then. Thanks for the content and tips. Keep up the good work and great content!
I started playing this game a couple months ago. Mostly stick to training because the only time I played on a team I was terrible at it. On one game I never saw one enemy and died 15-20 times. Not fair to my teammates so I have been practicing on the Jensen maps. I am also waiting to get on SOTT. Thanks Karmakut for this tutorial.
Anyone else have over 600 hours and are still gonna watch the whole series.....
nope, rather watch the SL series of Captain
200, but probably
Awesome intro, thanks! I used to play a lot of shooter games but I got tired of all the cheating. I like watching your videos, especially the armored ones more than I like actually playing. Please do a video on all the acronyms and shorthand comms, and another where you play a real match where you talk about why you're doing everything you're doing.
thank you I needed this I bought the game I never thought I could ever understand it
Thanks man. I've watched a few vids but I just picked up the game. I know, I know a little late but I've been into other games. This is a great kickstarter.
God I wish someone did a guide like this to Escape from Tarkov
Why donât you do it? Start a channel and promote it!

I might buy this game if you continue these videos. I enjoy watching your squad videos daily!
That reload animation was by far the most realistic Iâve seen in a game. Everything down to canting the rifle to the side before removing the magazine was 100% accurate
Super helpful, thanks!
Good shit bro..looking forward to the advance tips đ
I loved this video!! thanks!!
Thanks for posting this!!! I plan on getting the game mainly because of your videos (as if you haven't heard/seen that before). Love these types of games and since War Thunder I've just been hooked on all games with this type of play. Looking forward to other "tutorials".
Peace and hair grease!

wow ! thanks for all this tips
What a coincidence... I started playing today and you post this... Haha.
Buying this game tonight. Had a blast with heâll let loose, so I think Iâll enjoy squad too. But man oh man there is a lot to learn
THANK YOU!
3000 hrs. Thats impressive & so is this guide. Ive owned squad for over a year (same with post scriptum) & ive done the tutorial a couple of times but still was lacking the info. Ive been playing hll before release but felt lost during the only time ive been in game. Arma 3 kinda freaked me the hell out when I felt i needed 3 keyboards just to set the key bindings up. Squad isn't quite so over bearing but its still a formidable game to learn. I now have your guidance & I know you know how to play the milsims, any milsim. Btw I finally jumped into an easy server last night in PS and it was very different than hll. I now realize how critical getting your audio volumes just right. I could only make out 10% of call outs and orders in PS because the game sounds was too high to the different voip channels volumes. Im looking forward to learning more & jumping in a game soon.
God damn, that is one super comprehensive training range. That's like every single shooter tutorial area that I've ever seen.
That was helpful, thank you.
New to Squad and I am excited to play a game that is realistic like EFT but focuses on teamwork and communication.
Me as a new player: *gets killed and has no idea where it came from, spend 10 minutes looking for enemies as SL and other members are doing their thing*
this will be my first game i buy once i have enough for a gaming PC.
danny. Same, getting razer blade 15
It's tough to run, so make sure you keep a 1080p monitor, or get a nice graphics card
THX, can I ask if you also would expand it to, "how to become a good squad leader" (also with some building tips), so that maybe more people would have the will to create a squad, again thx
I don't think you can really teach someone how to be a good squad leader. Youve got to learn the game yourself to get to that stage. What I'd say is, always look at your map, Communicate, listen and stay alive.
Bro, I legit just got squad â€ïž
My man thank you karma
thanks for posting, very useful. i skipped the tourtoral and had the basic idea how to play as in, select class, spawn and could understand the map well enough and dig but i was ...TERRIBLE..,.lol so I just checked out the ranges and now im gonna go do that tourt and hopefully that and more time on the range ( and watch the rest of this series) will get me outta the "gum under a noobs shoe" stage lol ; )
This game is so complex. And consolidated. I'm totally stoked as a new player đ
I had this game in 2017. Got fed up with the toxic community and being left to fend for myself. Quit the game until July 2020. Picked it back up after seeing some of your awesome videos, Karma! Can't thank you enough for showing me how much fun this game can get once you get the hang of the controls!
thankfully I have like 2000 hours of Arma 3 so I know how to milsim so that part was easy.
I quit R6 Siege for this. ;)

Just got squad 2 days ago... Let's go!
Awesome!
Yay finally
That ammo crate part at 17:00 should have had a bit more info how things works. When you join the server and make your first spawn you will have full kit - it doesn't matter whether you spawn rally or hab (main base spawn will always fill your kit what ever it is). Knowing that, people should really think what we as a squad need before they make their first spawn - especially if your squad is playing on rallypoints far away from HABS/Main. I would recommend to favor rifleman kit on first spawn if squad is fighting on rallys so you can resupply their effort. Also very important part about that is that every time you change your kit on HAB you will drain ammo supply and in many cases it's a waste of supplies (especially if supply run distances are painfully long).
