    It’s absolutely pathetic how the two Scotts are so unbelievably bitter listening to the Zidane story, and how they’re trying to build up this persona that they have a lot if more interesting things to talk about during dinner and they can’t be asked. I dont mind different opinions no matter how silly or bias. What I do mind is hypocrisy or contradiction. They say Zidane won 3 UCL beacause of great team only. They also said Ronaldo did well because of great team. But when these two left and RM had the worst season in 100 yrs of their history, they said the team is too old.
    The same team that they credited for Zidane's & Ronaldo's success suddenly became too old. Moreover Bale (whose performance they always blamed on problems with zidane) performed even worse.
    Then Zidane came back and won Laliga with even worse team and nearly won it in second year untill the very last day by one goal.
    He is literally pound for pound the best manager of all time and yet they present him like some sort of French Ole (player manager) who literally didn't win anything at all.

    Origi and Wijnaldum gave Klopp a Champions League trophy when they won the Semi against Barcelona.

  • @Afterthoughtbtw
    @Afterthoughtbtw Před 2 lety +19

    Origi went off on loan for a while and left Liverpool in search of first team football. It didn't go great for him, he came back, and then won the Champions League with Liverpool. The suspicion is that he decided he preferred his life in and around the Liverpool players and staff than his experiences outside of Liverpool. The fact that he has contributed so undeniably to Liverpool's successes and is truly loved by the fanbase probably helps. I don't think there is anything wrong with putting happiness for both you and your family ahead of your career. The world would probably be a better place if more people thought that way.
    Remember also that Klopp preaches that every person from janitor to Mo Salah is part of the same project, working together in order to succeed, regardless of who gets the plaudits. I believe I am right in saying that one of the very first things Klopp did as manager was get everyone together who worked at the club, and reeled off the names of all the people who never get the plaudits (masseurs, chefs, etc. etc.) that he knew already and insisted to the first team that they were just as important as anyone else to Liverpool if Liverpool were going to be successful under him. The culture he wants to instil in a club is one where far more people are seen as deserving the plaudits than those people who are just the most visible. I imagine if you buy in to such an approach, and are naturally someone who puts the team doing well above yourself, then your view on Origi's career is likely very different to someone who doesn't buy into it.
    If you are being paid well, are going to work with people you love simply as people, feel that you are contributing to something greater than yourself, already have a place in history which you are adored for... why would you want to throw that all away on a gamble that had failed catastrophically before?
    What's unusual about this is that Origi is a striker, and strikers are usually considered selfish. Origi, however, has a genuine academic interest in psychology, so it seems reasonable to assume his thoughts on the matter would be more nuanced than many a forward. I better were Origi a bit part player this wouldn't be raised. When they were at their best, Man Utd had a bundle of bit part players who came on and did what they needed to do but were never going to start a game.
