      +Sikhhh I have a set of amber LEDs on rear parcel shelf in my sedan. I am a farm hand and sometimes block of areas at work when oil tanker in and need to safe the oil hose snaking into tanks. I also use them as extra hazard lights as being hearing impaired I am worried if I am broken down and not hearing traffic or a dangerous driver. My sister got pulled over in it and they asked her what colour were they. She showed them amber (orange) and they were hazard lights, they said ah ok, as long as wasn't blue or red, it legal.

      LSRPShawn That's not fair. British cops don't have to put up with the human filth that american cops have to deal with. Spend a day or two in inner city Chicago or Detroit. You will know what I mean. Also, I don't think guns are legal in the UK, so they don't have to worry as much about getting killed every time they stop a car or question somebody. These cops don't even seem to be wearing bulletproof vests. Just equipment vests.

    • @Baseshocks
      @Baseshocks Před 9 lety +2

      HDaviator
      The vests they were in the U.K are pretty much modern day chain-mill, there are a lot of knife attacks in the U.K.
      As for the inner city U.S stuff, social and political issues create that, best defense against gangs are police community outreach programs, get the kids into after school programs. Tell them it is possible and that the police care, these kids will not join gangs and reduce their numbers.
      More police guns, more armor will just equal a response in better armed gangs.
      Goggle "U.K knife attacks"

    • @dwightstewart7181
      @dwightstewart7181 Před 10 lety +5

      Other than fire departments or similar in larger cities, ambulance and paramedic services (in the USA) are usually provided by privately-owned companies. In most states, there’s no license or similar required to be a paramedic (providing actual ambulance service requires only a business license). Since anyone can be a paramedic, there’s really no such thing as impersonating a paramedic.

    • @yuriilev
      @yuriilev Před 10 lety +7

      *****
      Maybe not in your state (wherever that is), but in most states you must complete accredited training courses and receive certification as a Paramedic. There are similar regulations for the different levels of EMT's which can and do vary from state-to-state, but in all cases you must have certification of some sort to be an EMT or Paramedic.
      You can provide an "ambulance service" with only a business license? Possibly, but you won't even be able to do a non-emergency patient transfer if you don't have at least one EMT in your rigs to monitor the vital signs of the patient.
      It doesn't matter if an ambulance/paramedic service is a private or public agency, all EMT/Paramedics must be certified in the state they reside in.

    • @CarlM1997
      @CarlM1997 Před 9 lety

      No, in the states he would have been shunted off the road, dragged out of the car, tazed, beaten, and shot. Then handcuffed.

      @dwightstewart7181 Před 9 lety +5

      CarlM1997 Oh, get real. Exactly how many times have your been shot and killed during a police stop? If what you describe were even close to the norm, with twenty million or so police stops every year, everybody in this country would have already been dead long ago. In reality, what you describe is extremely rare and usually very well deserved (murderers, armed robbers, rapists, kidnappers, etc).

      ***** There is a big difference between impersonating a paramedic and a police officer. I agree the penalty for impersonating the paramedic should be less but if you impersonate a officer you could do a lot more "damage" to someone as their more likely to obey or get in the back of a car for instance. As far as the lights, there is a lot of responsibility that goes along with driving lights/sirens and an untrained person could end up causing a lot of trouble

    • @Lonewolf6565
      @Lonewolf6565 Před 9 lety

      Blue lights are legal in the US if youre a volunteer fire fighter or reserve police. Federally the only colors you cannot have are red facing the front of your car, green (park ranger service), or purple (requires a permit and reserved for funeral procession hearses and leader cars). Red is legal if they are only in the rear. Orange, yellow, white, or basically anything that isn't green or purple is legal unless banned by state law. Blue is only legal if your a registered volunteer firefighter or reserve police and are responding to an active call.

    • @Lonewolf6565
      @Lonewolf6565 Před 9 lety

      Also in the us they don't seize your car unless you are fought actively impersonating a police officer otherwise they give you a stiff ticket and order you to remove the lights within 30 days and then take the car to the court house to prove you've done so.

    • @znovosad555
      @znovosad555 Před 9 lety

      Yep. State laws change some of that like red in front. Chiefs here can run red and use a siren.includes all officers on a volunteer fire department. ( quick question as well. Are you lone wolfie on steam that makes some sweet vehicles?)

      Generally speaking, the tone of communication with the police in England and Germany is much more friendly than I know it from videos from the USA. In Germany, the punishment would have been considerably higher, but there is only prison if someone has been harmed. The blue light itself would only cost 20€ on the bill. What is clearly more expensive is presumption of office.
      It happens again and again that someone pretends to be a doctor or a paramedic who isn't. Some of these people even do it well, and only by chance do they attract attention as fakes. Most of the time, they don't have a bad intention. But of course they endanger accident victims or patients because they do not have the necessary expertise.
      They are just busybodies or conmen who want to use it to improve their little ego.

Every time I'm pulled over in the US, I am treated very nicely as well as majority of Americans... because we respect the officer and do as we are told. 99.99% of the people that have issues with police here in the states have an issue for a reason.

    I get the blue lights: he wants to get through traffic, and if I had to guess, also do amazing fast departures from parking lots ("Look at me, I am important and I have blue lights so I am gonna zooooom away from here!), but the bit about hanging around hospital with that car sounds like he is a wannabe paramedic who could not manage to get the real job so now he just pretends to be one. Happens a lot with police impersonators. But the thing is, many of them could get those jobs if they tried. But some have criminal records or something that prevents it. So they pretend. Sad.

      LS Well they said he has a history of impersonating police too. Sounds like their small fine doesn't work too well lol. These things might seem innocent until he tries to pull someone over, lure kids into his "government" vehicle, try to help a victim that actually needs a real ambulance, Lord only knows what all he could do to endanger lives. I am just stunned they admit he has done this before and just let him go with a small fine... didn't make him remove the "ambulance" from his vehicle or the lights. I guess that explains why it is so unsafe to walk around in Europe... There is no real punishment for crime. I toured Europe for a month and we had numerous attempted muggings smh. I've walked around Chicago with less fear lol.
