This video is an update on the case of Faith Hedgepeth.
We covered this case almost 5 months ago, and we felt this was a really important update to provide. Obviously, we understand that the case is very much still ongoing and active, but we like to keep everyone up to date with the relevant information and facts surrounding any case we cover.
Faith Danielle Hedgepeth was a 19 year old, UNC Chapel Hill Sophomore who was found brutally murdered in her apartment almost a decade ago.
No arrests have been made in her case, until now.

He probably lived looking over his shoulder and seemed to have a drink problem. So glad they caught him, this case bothered me for years.

Let Faith rest in peace, by not bringing more negativity regarding the time it took to catch Faith's killer!! Anytime I seen this case on numerous CZcams channels I never once looked at Faith and questioned her nationality.. I ONLY wanted to know who would want to hurt such a young, kind and beautiful girl⁉️ it doesn't matter what her nationality is it only matters that they finally caught the guy who did it so he doesn't hurt anyone else which has nothing to do with the color of her skin‼️

Its funny how people could murder someone sometimes for no reason at all and just go on living life like nothing happened. I couldn't live with dat on my conscience especially over somthing stupid. Sad man.

Yah it’s crazy to think that there are murderers walking around free. And he would’ve gotten away with it if he didn’t get arrested or lived in a different state.
It took a long time, but I'm glad her parents are still alive to see justice served. DNA testing is solving more & more cases. I know databases are controversial to some, but they do more good to me than harm.

@@MarcelinoSoliz But the crime seems so brutal for it to have been a hit. He raped her and killed her with a wine bottle and left his DNA everywhere. He could have at least taken her body somewhere else so it would be harder for the police to link him to the crime.
If he had any connection to rosie I think the police would have put the pieces together by now. Why would he wanna go down alone? might as well accept a plea deal and get some years cut from his jail sentence or a possibility for parole.
What was he getting out of killing faith? he probably wasn't being paid by Karina. so what would his motivation be to not only kill her but to do it so brutally?
It seems like he was really angry at faith.
and why leave a note like that? knowing that faith was already dead so she can't read it. the message was for someone else.
What are the chances a random guy just happens to go to an apt. Where the door just happens to be unlocked.
It happens sure.
But there will usually be a string of crimes or attempted crimes in the area.
There's just way to many things still not resolved.
I believe the phone call the professional put together is good.

I thought on the 911 call from previous video. Karena said, Faith was in her, (Karena's), bedroom.

That's a call. A text only after several failed attempted calls.
And I don't believe you wouldn't be crying at all.
If anyone else is involved, I guarantee we will be hearing of more arrest in the near future. This wasn't a crime that was committed alone. Too many coincidental factors that played a part in this case. Rest in Peace to the young lady that lost her life. Hopefully her family will get the results they are praying for.

I’m glad the case is still open & ongoing Bc what is this man connection to faith? Who was he to her? Why did he want to kill her? Did he act alone? Bc I honestly feel like the roommate had something to do with it. That 911 call was fishy. Her leaving the door open was fishy. Her lack of participation in trying to found out who killed her friend & roommate was fishy.

If you listen to the press conference, they were very clear that they are not done investigating and are looking at all possible involvement by other people. That tells me they also believe there is more to the crime.
I bet her roommate has a connection with this guy. Still feel like she was part of it.
I feel like that's why he had to kill her.

I have to completely disagree with you, I thought this case was so salvable like DNA all over the apartment I've heard In 50 plus different places apparently. I do not think we've heard the end of it I think her roommate will be charged with something at the very least Hindering prosecution cuz she knows more than she said. you don't just drop out of school move back home and lawyer up when you're innocent cuz your best friend is killed.

I remember when this happened to Miss. Faith🥺... I remember feeling like her circle of friends were involved (her roommate primarily), I still believe she knows more. I'm glad Miss. Faith will soon get the justice she deserves😔💙🙏🕊️
I remember an interview with faiths mother where she talked about how faith and rosey actually had been having tense arguments and faith was planning on moving out. I personally believe they were all involved in her murder. I’ve seen someone deep dive and dissect the voicemail that was left and it seems they were playing music and the name rosey can be heard being said by a male. If you haven’t heard it I suggest you look up the faith hedgepeth voice mail. Even on the 911 phone call here rosey sounds ingenuine like she’s forcing her voice to be upset. Most people in the brink of the moment are not trying to explain to 911 dispatchers their own theory. An innocent person tends to just beg for help, not try to put information into the cops head. I absolutely still think Rosey was involved. Hope this guy rats the rest of them out
Totally. He obviously was set up. Maybe he screwed the roommate and they got his DNA and had planned to kill Faith all along, with you sista. Watch his head when judge announces charge, doesn't look the the reaction of a guilty man, he is saying nooooooo it was not me.

Shaking his head doesn't mean he is not guilty: He may as well be thinking : Hell is about to begin for him and that His past has caught up with him.
He killed using an alcohol bottle and look what got him caught - that's called Karma.
What goes around comes around..He may be shaking his head knowing that his deeds have caught up to him. When one regrets their action or a bad decision that caused more cascading issues, one tends to shake their head in disbelief...
But he certainly had accomplices and that voicemail mystery will now be solved- there is atleast one another female involved. Expect some revelations in this case soon.

The voicemail is inconclusive because it’s hard to understand and was ostensibly sent at 1:23 AM when there is CCTV footage of them leaving the nightclub at 2am. Those phones were also known to have incorrect timestamps, so it was not recorded at the time of the murder which had to be after she sent a text to a friend around 3:45 AM. Then the DNA was all over the crime scene and didn’t match anyone she knew, if it did they would’ve been arrested a long time ago. So saying they’re guilty is like saying Amanda Knox was guilty, they’re guilty by association only. otherwise there’s no hard proof linking them to the actual crime.
OK Detectives get off CZcams comments and go interrogate him and get the statement!

Faith's case has always made me so angry--she seemed like such a lovely person. I look forward to justice being served.

I can't believe it's been ten years . . I'm glad some justice might finally be served. I hope he gets life. And I hope he confesses to what actually happened and who else was involved, because I still believe Rosie had something to do with it. My theory is it was a revenge-rape/beating that ended in murder, because Rosie has a temper and was having conflicts with Faith right before this. I sincerely hope that I'm wrong, because, for me, it's more awful if you're betrayed by someone you know, rather than a stranger. Faith must have been terrified either way. I hope this brings her some peace.
This case was so crazy. I remember hearing the audio and everything. I didn't understand how anyone wasn't arrested. Luckily they still seem to be investigating the case. (Or the just got lucky with the DNA..) It's just really sad.

Yeah that audio was crazy.. I wonder if he was there that night or something. (In that audio, I mean.., like did he know her or any of her friends..) Or was he just a completely random guy who knew her. It seems like he knew her based on the words that were wrote down at the scene. I’m so invested in this case.. it’s such a tragic story. I hope her family is truly able to really start healing now that they know that the killer has been arrested. That’s such a huge deal.

I've heard several channels speak to this case. I've always suspected that the roommate had something to do with this. (I tried to be sympathetic to her during the 911 call, but I found it difficult. And that message that was left where you can hear multiple people, her friends yelling a few hours (supposedly, the time is contested) before her death.. But who knows.. damn.. those cops got lucky. He slipped up so much and got all of those tickets/charges regarding the other stuff. Otherwise they’d still be completely in the dark about this. He just dropped right into their laps. Thank god. At least now her family can finally get justice for Faith. It’s long passed overdue.

Thank you! Thank you! For posting this! I have wanted justice for this case for so long. It has haunted me every since I heard it. I was so worried it would never be solved! Thank God and may God be with Faith’s family.
I think at the very least her roommate Karina didn’t do her part in helping solve this case. Miguel’s dna was found on 50 pieces of evidence they found, meaning he had probably been in the apartment before. After they created a sketch from the dna profile, Karina should of looked at it and told them who she knew that matched the sketch that has also been inside their apartment before. I’m glad they’re still looking into other individuals that may have been involved. In my opinion.
I feel Karina was part of it too...listen to her 911 call upon finding Faith's half nude body...she tells the operator "uh I think my roommate is unconscious" and who the hell leaves the apartment door open before they leave???

Also she could of left door unlocked because she had set Faith up or she was there when Faith was murdered and left the door unlocked to already try to stage a narrative. WTH did you get DNA on *50* things? There's only been like 5 confirmed places. Your hyperbole (or lies) leads to innocent people on death row because you go by your “feelings”.
Not gonna lie, I was low key expecting her room mate and friends to be involved due to those weird phone calls that happened around the time of her death. I am glad I was likely mistaken and that the probable culprit has been charged. May she and her family find peace.

The phone call was when they were at the club. One guy claimed to have heard some conversation that other experts disagree with. He also made up some glitch as to being a different time.
I still think the roommate was there and involved along with at least one other person. That note alone is not something a male would say.

I know there could be more people involved, but we finally have some sort of conclusion and it is so nice to know that she will get some justice! Finally. I follow a lot of cases and this is one that stuck with me more than most. This and the Said sisters (who also recently got justice). Thanks for the update.
I live in chapel hill. What I can say about the police department is that they suck. We literally have ONE department and they’re closed on the weekends because there’s literally never any crime happening in our area. I think they’ve never been trained to handle a case this extreme and didn’t know what to do with it. There’s no reason why it’s taken them this long to try and solve it.

They said they're still following leads this guy's gonna be linked to that girl somehow, That 911 call was bullshit there was no true emotion there.
And she brought that other girl back with her just so she wouldn't be alone, a lot of people who know they're gonna find a body do that.

It hasn't been confirmed, but at the beginning of the investigation someone stated that a police officer had leaked that there was only one key they shared. When all the documents were released people noticed that police had listed one key in one of the searches which some people took as confirmation. Anyone else who believed Karena had something to do with it, doesn't accept that.

Thank you for the update!!! After watching your initial video, I googled Faith’s name hoping her killer(s) had been brought to justice. I am so glad there has been a break in the case and I am glad I can count on this channel for future updates

We need to know where the hell this guy came from and why he did it now. I'm SO GLAD to hear that someone's arrested, and I hope we get more details from the authorities soon that answer why.

@@drinkmorewater3904 in the audio found there was at least 3 people in that room assisting her. I hope they’re all found but surprised nothing was mentioned on this video about the recording.
@@Dani_ElleAnzace No. One guy claimed there was 3 people. Other audio experts and the police have always disagreed with him. Call came when they were at the club and you can't really make out anything. IMO he made up the whole conversation he claimed to hear as well as the wrong timestamp.

Wow that's crazy. Just yesterday stumbled upon the original video you made on Faith .... and just saw this update today. I'm glad they caught him.
Whats weird is on faiths phone it recorded it and there was def a girl and guy talking and faith was yelling for help.Glad they got him but there was a girl also

There is a recording and Rosario was definitely there as he call her “Rosie”.The jealous “ bitch” was Rosario.i dont think she killed Faith but i think she arranged it.

Thank you for the update. I try to avoid unsolved / cold cases and remember watching Faith’s case on your channel (by mistake lol). So glad this is moving forward, I had nightmares about this case

The flatmate left her own place at 4.30 in the morning, driven by an ex boyfriend, to stay at a girlfriend’s place and then call Faith at 10.30am to come and pick her up. Odd behaviour even if they had an argument, as she said Faith was alone and asleep when she left.
The killer may have been watching them and simply tried the door. It’s the only way a random killer scenario fits. He may have been obsessed with Faith, stalking her, which may explain the lack of a known violent history.
I guess more will come to light when they investigate his background, phone records etc; and any connections within this social group.
(Just pure speculation but to many of us true crime buffs the 911 call would not sound genuine).
