  • In part 3 I show how to completely reassemble upper end of the Prostar 570 engine. This is the same for the Ranger, Rzr and Ace. Now the Sportsman is going to be exactly the same process other then the engine case is slightly different in shape. @PolarisNuts Garage

    Thanks helped me get my 570 engine back together perfectly! Froze the crankshaft overnight and baked the housing in the oven at 200 degrees for 15mins she fell right in! 😃

    Great videos, would have liked to have seen references to valve lash since you had to use new cams, but all in all great videos showing this can be done in one’s garage with simple hand tools.

    I just finished my rebuild and got installed back in the machine Thank you for all your help! Is there a coolant bleeding method! I seen something about clamping off the lower antifreeze hose but the engine run for a little bit shut it off and then unclamp the hose.

    • @montemania198210
      @montemania198210  Před 2 lety +3

      That’s wonderful to hear. Yea there is a bleeder on thermostat housing. Open it up while filling system. Close when air bubbles stop coming through. Fill rad rest of the way. Start engine let her come to temp then shut down, let it cool and recheck. Also when starting engine for first time vary your engine speed between 1500 and 2500 to help rings to seat in.

    Are these 570s all similar to each other? Exactly the same? Ebs vs SP vs ranger vs sportsman? A 2016 sportsman with goofy noises fell into my possesion yesterday. I have a feeling i will be watching your videos a lot at some point soon.
    Thanks again. Cheers from central minnesota!

    Great video do you have a video on adjusting the valves ? What brand of assembly lube are you using and what brand of grey sealer did you use ? Thank you for the great videos

    • @montemania198210
      @montemania198210  Před 2 lety

      Thank you. I use permatex products. I don’t have a video on valve adjustment yet but will soon. No easy way of adjusting them, if out of spec you need to change the tappet bucket in order to bring into spec. There is a aftermarket company that makes adjustable buckets that u can shim making adjustments easier.
