It would be nice if Valve starts doing some periodic checking on the decky loader plugins and push to the OS some of the most installed plugins so that it become natively supported (with mentioning credits to the original devs they've got inspired from in the update changelogs).
this. ive basically stopped using beta and preview builds because i just simply cant live without the "pause on suspend" plugin. its the only reliable fix ive found for the audio crackle when waking from sleep

Congrats on the game release! looks like a modern pong clone which I don't find interesting but I can appreciate the amount of work it takes to make this and to drive it passed the finish line so kudos!
I'd have left that advanced access "loophole" in there. It protected consumers from the situation where the advanced access version was not representitive of the full game.
You going to talk about how Fallout 4 is now labelled as verified yet the software keyboard crashes the game (like Skyrim), thereby making it impossible to start a new game proving that nobody actually verified the title? Pretty problematic

@@silver_einherjar Are you running on the LCD deck or OLED? I'm on OLED and it crashes every time I use the v-keyboard.
If only the protonDB plugin was natively integrated

Id also love this, even though its seemingly unrealistic at this point, a legit standalone release of steam-os from valve that can be put on other machines!

What an absolutely stupid looking game! I'm totally IN! I used to think indies were silly games, maybe its an age thing, but I really enjoy a fun game like this now, especially one where I can challenge my kids. I'm guessing with this game I'll have serious skill issues. Added to my Wish List! 👌

I during the Dudelings trailer I could not stop laughing at Microspy.
Tag games by Steam device installation by allowing users to give each Stream installation a name in settings. Why? For those with 1+ desktop pcs, 1+ laptops, a Steam deck, ...
Quick access list would list only locally installed played games and not what was played on another device.
One can see where each one is installed from any other Stan install.
Maybe initiate remote install from any other Steam install.
The biggest things I want with steam OS updates are 5x5 touch overlay menus and the ability to turn off wake on bluetooth for steam deck oled. You can build a fully custom keyboard right into your controller layout with that setup in a 5x5. With the wake on bluetooth I'm tired of turning on my steam deck when it's in a bag and I turn on my headphones or any previously connected bluetooth device. There's a decky plugin for this, but I want it natively.
Controller config template sharing between your own games has been borked for a long time. It did sorta work months ago, but it's never been entirely functional. They really need to fix it.

- option for power button hold to directly power off the machine
- sleep mode to be better power efficient / super battery saver mode so i don't have to do the above frequently
I don't expect Valve to do this, but adding the ability to apply shaders would be nice (like shaderglass for Windows).
Where can I download source code for that game?
Had a Few bugs with Bazzite 39, like Goverlay not Starting or Steam and Discovery Crashing.
But Bazzite 40 is Rock solid, just works and it a Joy to use.
Highly recommend it.
The graphics switcher widget stopped working and can’t be reinstalled for me
I am too lazy too ask on discord. KDE6 is now a thing on Bazzite if I saw it right and is the return to game mode still the same or does it finally go through SDDM? Me non Nobara, no crashes but Plasmaoids are broken xD incl meta+p
Steam deck still can't do broadcasting but it can do host remote play. 2 years later still missing one of steams main features.
The lack of updates for the deck is disappointing.
And the dock support still sucks, i can connect it to my TV and it'll just reboot sometimes depending on how its feeling.
Regarding features I'd like to see on the deck - AC3 bluetooth codec support for improved latency as well as easier access to change the codec being used through the game mode settings rather than going into desktop.
Could be that the Valve dev team is busy with SteamOS for desktops. Usually, after a big update as 3.5 now wouldbe a great time to update that distro. Plus if Valve wants handheld OEMs to use Linux instead of Windows
Deck needs: Downloading while screen is off (or intelligent sleeping), and a "steam verified" that isn't an obvious, laughable lie.
Would love the feature of game profile preset. 1. Visual - settings focused on graphics. 2. Gameplay - focused on smoother gameplay and higher fps. Custom - focused on your own custom settings for game.

A Fedora-based gaming distro, that's interesting. I wonder if anyone's getting more FPS with other distros to SteamOS.
Dual boot times a million I realize this one doesn't interest you much at all but I'm a HUGE fan of gamepass, as a father with two boys that game.
I live on the road and I could get so much more quality time in with the dual boot support they have promised forever.
I did the work around on the lcd, I don't want to do it on the OLED.
They really need to do something about the updates for the OS on the steam deck. As i'm rocking a 64gb version. And yesterday when updating the drivers and what not on the desktop OS. I was hit with a storage issue multiple times. And since i have nothing extra installed on that drive. There was nothing to remove. I just had to start the update again. As storage was removed during the update as well. But it's an issue when you have to do that for almost every 100mb out of a 3gb update.
Gotta upgrade your memory. I am sorry to say this but 64gb is not gonna cut it now a days 200gb even would be too little
The final d in advanced access hurts me. It's not higher level access, it's earlier access!
I think ill stick with Nobara but I’m glad theres more then one fedora based gaming distro. They don’t seem to get much love compared to ubuntu and arch based stuff
I can't find my documents folder and I don't want to format my steam deck OLED can anyone help
Go into desktop mode (hit the Steam button, choose POWER and then select "Switch to Desktop"), then go into the file manager (it's called "Dolphin" on the Steam Deck) and on the left side of the file manager you should see "Documents"
If you don't see it there, you should see a "Home" option and then on the right of the window you should see the "Documents" folder.
If all else fails, use the URL bar and type in "~/Documents"
I wish Valve would fix the major Linux issues such as constant shader redownloads (#8076/#10285), severe slowdowns using HTTP/2 (#10248), and the client breaking under Wayland fractional scaling (#9209).
Most of the Wayland issues are own the Wayland people to fix. Wayland is not as mature as Xorg/X11 and it changes a lot of things.

I am fine with valve not doing much with the deck fro a while if that means they are working on bringing SteamOS to general hardware.

Not at launch. We've talked about bigger teams, but at the moment we wanted to make sure what we have is fun, stable, and competitive.

I refunded DD2 well beyond the 14 day period I pre-ordered that game and steam did refund it probably because I never played it. I would not have pre-ordered it had I known it was going to have performance issues.
I'm SO starved for Instant Replay/Shadowplay whatever you want to call it functionality. As in - out of the box without a funky plugin that may possibly break any moment and that has to be initialized before you use it for your gaming session every time. I legitimately play only when I know that anything cool happening I can clip and full recording (as in, not just clips, but entire sessions) would be equally handy - without needing to hook something up, please! HEVC encoder is built-in on the hardware level, there's no excuse. Even the starved for features SWITCH can do this. Now with ridiculous and unnecessary limitations of course, but it can do more than the Steam Deck on this front built-in. 2 years after SD released. I remember there being some code referencing this feature some months ago, so they seem to be working on this, but every single week I keep looking for hints that indicate we're getting closer. I want to carelessly use my Steam Deck finally without itchy plugins!

I like the "Dudelinks" name, and it should work, "my guess" for your audience which is primarily men with money, so we have girlfriends, i would suggest changing the name in the future to include women, or DLC? Ther is one thing I like to see not in steam deck nessery but hand held computer in general
What I like to see it's OS that disaing with controller in mind.
Those hand held computer have controllers as main control
So if someone make os that disaing with controller in mind I think I will be way better for navigate the OS
I know those system have some controller emulator touch screen and the dising for gaming.
But the desktop invaroment it part of those system as well

seems like an unnecessary blur of what is and isn't in early access but the refund policy on it seems fair at least.

If we target another platform, it would be Android first. Consoles are a whole can of worms.
@@gardiner_bryant As an Android owner, Android first for a paid product is a bad idea. It's an objective fact that more people are likely to buy your game on iPhone than on Android, despite the fact that more of the world uses Android. I don't know why, but people on Android just don't spend money on stuff. So all the extra work spent wouldn't have a worthwhile return on investment.
I get that it's your game, and you're not driven by infinite growth and other horrendous corporate BS, but you have to consider the return on investment, and whether targeting Android first would actually be worth it.
This would definitely be an interesting mobile game, though, to say the least.
Game looks like something that was made during gamejam. Even if the price is low, this looks like couch coop game only, so it has really small audience. Art is plain bad. I would be surprised if it got any traction, every part of the game is made to scare away buyers.

It's pixel art by a single person, not sure what you were expecting. Honestly it could be much worse - it looks consistently drawn, and I'm sure there were a lot of sprites to draw. AI art would need a lot of touchup and might have consistency problems as it often draws things very differently even with the same prompt.
Honestly the game looks like shit. If it was free bloatware I’d go out of my way to delete it. Just being honest.
