I always thought they were just like a parody of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie 🤷🏽♀️ so maybe it's just satire
@Xxjoker
I don’t mean this in a mean way, but when a couple has adopted and biological children, it’s best not to refer to the biological children as their “real” children because that implies that adopted children are less real and important than the biological ones. I know in this case you’re referring to fictional characters, but just in case you ever are talking to someone who is adopted or has adopted people in their family, you should know that adopted children are real children. I don’t think you meant anything bad by it, but a lot of people don’t realize how hurtful that can be to adoptive families and adopted children.
I completely forgot about Luke having a crush on Jesse. But this show definitely brings back many great memories
Remember that plot line that Luke broke into Jessie’s room and often Ed filmed her sleeping and also took bits of her hair. This show was crazy

What you mentioned towards the end about how Jessie is one of the few Disney Channel shows that has an adult as the main character is why I still really like this show, since I'm older now. Jessie is my favorite character in the show partly for the fact that I can actually relate to seeing someone around my age trying to follow their dreams - and juggle multiple different responsibilities in the process. Honestly, I like all the adult characters of the show - Jessie, Bertram, Hudson, Tony, and Brooks - more than Emma, Ravi, Luke, and Zuri. Personally, I feel like making Hudson a main character of season 4 would've been amazing because we would get to have another older character, who is also a nanny, that has a completely different approach to Jessie in terms of how to be a nanny, and that would be really fun to watch (but more on this later because I know most people don't even know Hudson is a character in this show).
Anyways, while I like this show, it has a lot of flaws and I can see why some people don't like it. The biggest problems of the show (at least to me) are the racial stereotypes and how too much of the humor of the show is based off of the characters making fun of each other. Also, there were some recurring characters that should've been in more episodes (like Hudson and Rosie). The main four could've been better characters. If I didn't love Jessie's character as much as I do, I probably wouldn't have finished watching the show. Emma and Ravi are probably my favorites out of the four. However, Emma's character could've been improved a lot. I love how she likes fashion and has a very bubbly personality, but they should've went the Liv Rooney route for her character. Liv was a character very much like Emma, but they gave Liv moments where you could see that she cared about other things besides fashion. I feel like with the introduction of Rosie - the character that she was paired with for a school project - Emma's character could've developed. Rosie was a character that wasn't afraid to tell Emma that not everyone is able to live the life she has. The fact that the two became friends despite being so different and coming from different backgrounds was amazing and they should've had an episode where Rosie takes Emma to her place. Since we know that Rosie lives in a neighborhood that's not the safest and has to share a small living space with multiple relatives, when Emma would've seen how some people who aren't rich have to struggle in life, I'm sure that Emma would be heartbroken by that and would start trying to do everything she could to raise awareness about important issues.
I also liked the storyline where Emma was working a regular job at a snack place (I think that's what you would call it?). It's amazing to see that she actually came to love working there and was upset when she got fired that one time, even though she didn't need the money. It would've been even greater to see how she learned how to be better at her job, since we know she struggled with it in the beginning (after all, it was her first job). I wish that storyline was a more prominent part of the show. It probably would've given Emma more character as well.
As for Ravi, I am against all of the Indian stereotypes they used - HOWEVER, I think that as the show went on, they stopped being as obvious with the stereotyping. Despite the stereotyping though, Ravi's character is actually not that bad. I really like how smart he was and I also appreciate how kind he can be. When I was younger, I related to how he struggled to make friends and fit in. I love how at the end, Jessie told him to never change who he is. It would've been cool if we could see Ravi explore hobbies outside of school subjects, like how he started to play basketball and actually won the basketball game for Luke's team in one episode. It would've shown that Indian or Asian characters don't have to always be smart. Zuri was probably my least favorite character. I don't like how stereotypical her character was in the beginning. Other than that, I don't have much to say about her. Some of her comments were funny, but that's about it. I don't have much to say about Luke either. Sometimes, I liked how funny he was. I actually liked that episode when Luke thought he was smarter than Ravi due to a mix-up with the test scores, he realized that he was capable of getting good grades and started being interested in his education. I wish they would've explored that more. Also, rest in peace, Cameron. We all miss you.
I've said so much already and I could say even more. I really think this show had the potential to be much better. But as I said in the beginning, Jessie's character is my favorite. I love how kind, brave, funny, opinionated, and smart she is. I love how her trying to be an actress was portrayed realistically. She didn't get her big break until after a whole lot of failed auditions. And in the middle of all that, she had to juggle being a nanny AND going to college for a little while in season 4. I appreciate how she was so supportive of the kids, even though they are already spoiled enough as it is. Jessie also reminds me of Miley's character on Hannah Montana, which is probably why I like her too. Now to talk about Bertram - I think I laughed at almost everything that he said. He was hilarious and he too still cared about the kids, despite how annoying they can be sometimes. I do wish they would've treated him (and Jessie) with more respect. Finally, I am SO disappointed that Hudson (Stuart's nanny) was only in three episodes. I will never forgive Disney for that. l will post my full thoughts on Hudson as a reply to this comment, since it probably won't fit here. And one more thing, I did like Tony and Jessie's relationship - and her relationship was Brooks was cute too - but I personally ship Hudson and Jessie more. However, I can see why Tony and Jessie would be together at the end. Anyways, this show is nowhere near the best show in the world, but it has made me laugh and smile, and Jessie's character has been such an inspiration to me, so for that, I will always appreciate it. If you read all of this, thank you so much! I hope you have a great day!
Some Disney shows change something about the final season, either by giving the season a new title, location, or characters. I feel like adding Hudson as sort of an antagonist in the beginning would be really fun to see and bring so much more fun to the show. Hudson's impulsive nature, desire to have fun at all costs, and simply not knowing how to be a good nanny would clash SO much with Jessie's style of taking care of the Ross family. I know no one probably even knows he exists, even people who have watched the show (which makes the fact that I care about this so much kind of funny), but the fact that he and Jessie both came to New York to follow their creative dreams (acting for Jessie and writing novels for Hudson) AND both ended up being a nanny by accident is something that I feel could've led to him being in more episodes, if they would have discussed that more. Also, I feel that could be a way for Jessie and Hudson to get along better and get closer, once they realize that they are both have big dreams and are still learning how to do their current jobs (although Jessie has way more experience than Hudson).
Also, Hudson being in the final season as a regular character could've allowed him to learn more from Jessie (he even admitted in one episode that he has a lot more to learn from her). By the series finale, Hudson would be more responsible and could've been the new nanny for the Ross family when Jessie left OR both Hudson's and Jessie's dreams could've came true - like maybe Hudson's novel would have been turned into a show that Jessie plays the lead character in. I know most people will not care about this or disagree with me, and that's totally okay! I just wanted to share this opinion in case anyone out there felt the same way.
Even though I like the show and it has made me laugh and smile a lot, I realize that this show has A LOT of flaws and I can see why people don't like it. But I believe adding Hudson as a regular season 4 character would've been a way to make the show at least a bit better. The adults of the show - Jessie, Hudson, Tony, Brooks, and Bertram - are my favorite characters (I like them way more than the other four) and so I could be biased as I say all of this, but I don't know, I personally could imagine Hudson moving into Mrs. Chesterfield's place after she leaves or something, and I can see Jessie absolutely hating it at first. However, Hudson would beyond excited and would keep trying to hang out with Jessie - which relates to something else I noticed about his character, which is that he seems to still want to be Jessie's friend even though they don't get along. Like, when they were both taking a college course and were assigned as partners for all the assignments, Jessie was horrified, but Hudson was so happy about it. It was actually kind of cute in my opinion. I think he really looks up to Jessie and doesn't mean to annoy her all the time, but it's just that their personalities are very different and I think he can't help being as chaotic as he is most of the time.
Anyways, Hudson and Jessie living in the same apartment building and having to see each other more often would probably cause them to argue more, before their relationship gets better. In one episode of this pretend fourth season, Jessie would probably challenge Hudson to take care of Emma, Ravi, Zuri, and Luke for a whole week, believing that he couldn't do it. She could say that if she wins the challenge, Hudson has to admit that he doesn't have what it takes to be a nanny. All Hudson wants if he wins is to get to hang out with her every Saturday. After they make a deal with each other, maybe Hudson would start out the week by messing everything up (like giving the kids poor advice about their situations or letting them do whatever they want), but then he could think "what would Jessie do" and then do that and fix everything before Jessie has to get involved and actually end up impressing her. In later episodes, as they hang out more and learn more about each other, it can cause the two to see each other in a new light. Instead of thinking that Hudson is insufferable and incapable, she realizes that Hudson has a good heart and good intentions. Maybe she also learns that the reason he acts so immaturely and can be a neglectful nanny is because his parents were neglectful towards him and never really cared about his life. In one episode, he mentions how when he was the same age as the kids that his mom just left him outside with a bowl and a stick as a way for him to have fun. It was supposed to be funny when he said that, but that might be a sign that his parents never cared much about him (but then again, that's just me trying to add a backstory to a character that really doesn't have much of a backstory at all lol). Anyways, as they hang out more, Hudson could also stop seeing Jessie as being too strict or not fun enough and admire how she knows how to have boundaries (something he wishes he could do in order to not constantly mess things up and not get so carried away with things).
I could say a lot more about this, but this comment would be even longer than it already is. Again, I know that I'm probably the only one that knows his character exists in 2022 (which is understandable because he's unfortunately only in three episodes and the show ended years ago, and most people are watching new shows). I also know his character is kind of flawed, but watching the episodes with him in it just made me want to see how his character would develop and how his relationship with Jessie would improve. I don't know, I just really liked how fun and wild his character was and I just wanted to see him in more episodes. If anyone read all of this, thank you so much. I hope you all have a great day!

Peyton List!
@@carolinemontgomery9100 no really? 😮
Yeah Emma and tory are so different
This show was actually pretty great. I used to watch with my nieces and nephews and ended up enjoying the humor and characters just as much as them.
This show was everybody’s childhood, the nostalgia is overwhelming.
Note: I said that it was “everybody’s” childhood as I just remember a lot of people I know now and a lot of people in this comment section have seen it when they were young. I was just pointing out something, please relax. People have different definitions of “childhood.” I personally think childhood is a persons life from 3-12 years old. A lot of people saw this when they were young (as young people were the prime demographic).
Chill out y’all, it’s just a comment :-)
Ditto, it's unbelievable that it's been AN ENTIRE DECADE since it initially aired! 😮
Definitely. The Crush I had on Peyton List & Debbie Ryan was insane, lol
Not mine, I heard about it first time just now.
this was my favorite show!
That was until the fire nation attack. Cameron Boyce's death, Skai Jackson's doxxing, and Ravi's drug use. I will link the video
Debbie Ryan is at this point a token of our youth- She’s a symbol of nostalgia and I have no idea if that’s a blessing or a curse-
wth are the links in the comments

I never watched any of that...I only watched Madness Combat, played Halo, and watched FRIENDS 9 times in a row, all 10 seasons

Low key best Disney channel show
The actors still genuinely make me laugh
Whaaaat? Nah I honestly can't wrap my head around that sentiment, especially when u have the clearly superior, way more heartfelt and more smartly put together Good Luck Charlie, which also had much more natural acting
After watching Bunk’d more times than I can count, I realized Jessie was basically part 1 of Bunk’d
Unpopular opinion: Jessie and The wizards of waverly place are the most rewatchable Disney Channel shows….
Edit- and Good Luck Charlie too
They are!
And good luck Charlie
Unpopular opinion: I was never really a fan of The Wizards of Waverly Place or Jessie, but I watched them if I was really bored. I preferred to watch Jedie actively anyways (I liked ANT FARM & Austin & Ally more)

Along with Hannah Montana

Jessie is unique in the way it grew up with the audience. They had episodes revolving around teen angsts, kids growing up, and an overall story about a family coming together. Jessie and Bertram were the only parents the kids had through the four?? years they raised them. And watching the kids grow into their own personalities was one of the best things ever
Then bunkd ruins it all
@@getmeouttahere1209 !!
Tbh the “it grew up with the audience” isn’t really anything special since its the vibe of nearly all kids shows that ran for over like 2-3 years and more
@Fallen Ghoul that YohaRiko profile pic is awesome, ur an absolute pogchamp
@@JogurtowyPotworek I think they mean that actual kids grew into young teens which is not as often as you maybe think. Usually they (the disney characters) are already teens when we were kids, you know?

I really don’t get why bunk’d was a thing if Luke wasn’t there and when all the Ross kids left the show was weird how is the show a spin-off of Jesse with out Luke, zuri, Ravi and Emma
Right? The Ross kids were supposed to be in the show. Except Luke. Then neither of them were in the show. Bruh.
I did my research on this and I found out that Cameron had his own show on Disney XD but they still wanted to have a spin off show :)
Luke was there for an episode.
Wait they all left??? Why?
@@zebraroll2037 For some reason they decided to keep making more seasons even after the actors who played the Ross kids left the show. I get that it was supposed to be for newer kids, but what’s the point of continuing a spin-off that’s not even a spin-off anymore? Heck, some of the kids who watch Bunk’d nowadays don’t even know what Jessie is.

hey guys remember that time when Jessie got her hand glued to that old ladies head?
or the time she literally walked out on her wedding because she realized she didn't love the guy?
or the time she got stuck in a giant teapot during her first-date with another guy?

Anybody else remember when Jessie had that random crossover with the animated Spider-Man show where Ms. Kipling turned into a dragon?
YES, that was so random to me.
The one where she has a date but Zuri decides to tell a bedtime story?
@@butter.oi. No I think they were at a museum on Halloween and Morgan le Fay showed up, so Jessie and the kids teamed up with Spider-Man to stop her. It was a trip

Why am I just realizing the guy that played ward Cameron is their dad
Ward cameron is a scary dude ngl. I was a little startled when i noticed him at first lol. He played ward very well
you should watch bunkd. it’s got the kids from Jessie in it. all seasons over season 2 are terrible though
Season 3 was for me the final season of that show. Season 3 was still acceptable for me because the Ross Family was in it. But as soon as the Ross Family left as lead characters by the end of season 3, that's where I stopped watching it. I don't care that some of them came back as guest character, them not being lead characters anymore was dissapointing because Bunk'd was supposed to be a Jessie spin off, now that Zuri, Ravi and Emma left the show as main characters, the show is dead for me
The weirdest part about Jessie is that it still airs reruns of the show to this day even after the show ended.
Disney favored Jessie more than any of their other shows. They play it constantly like you said even today as if it was still airing, and gave the show a spin off that became the first Disney show to have more than 4 seasons. Its freaking crazy.
Don’t most shows do that? Also I haven’t seen any reruns of Jessie for the past 3 years.
I believe so but jessie ended in 2015 and unlike other old show reruns I see they air it any time of the day. Usually I see old shows run at 12:00 AM to 3:00 AM or anytime of the day where you usually wouldn't be able to watch it but Jessie airs anytime of the day on the disney channel.@@jagp135 (Sorry for this being long)

Why was ravis’ character so stereotypical? It’s incredibly racist and kinda weird I didn’t realize it as a kid.
The show is full of stereotypes. The sassy black girl, the dumb blonde. A lot of the jokes really flew over our heads
Hmm I wouldn't call it racist but stereotypes are so cringe.
I don't know if I would say all that. I remember seeing a comment saying that his character is from India but also his way of speaking changes as times goes up which is something that apparently changes if someone comes to America from a young age? I haven't watched the whole show but I just heard his character evolves.
@@sirmel11 they make his character racially stereotypical when he didn’t even grow up in India, he was adopted as a young baby from there. I think it’s weird that he would have an Indian accent as he wasn’t raised in India or by Indian people.
