- Today we've got a fantastic modern instrument, a 2017 Gretsch G6120 Reverend Horton Heat Signature model! This beauty is in great condition, with no issues whatsoever. It sounds warm and full just as one would expect from a hollow body, with cool 55/58 era aesthetic and reliable modern hardware. The combination of the hollow body and TV Jones pickups gives a great sound with humbucker punch and single coil twang! Jay is here to tell you all about it before handing things off to Nick Mardon for the demo through a (sold) Two-Rock Studio Signature head and cab.

Probably the best guitar I’ve ever owned
I know this video is 2yrs old but its refreshing to see a Pick of the Day that's not a Strat or Tele. Love the looks and sounds/tones of Gretsch, a guitar that I will never own but always appreciate them. The fretboard inlays are so cool on this axe, great detail.

For some reason that demo brought to mind the scene where Gregory Peck tries to tame the horse.
