hey boss i have a 2011 ram 3500 cummings ac trouble
not blowing strong
when parked cold air turns to almost warm air and suggestions
Where did you get the kit to repair it?
Where did you get the new connector
Where did you get the new canbus connector and the wiring diagram. I have a 2013 ram 1500 hemi 5.7l 4x4
I am experiencing the same issue
I'm a local missionary who helps single moms down here in Alabama. I'm a retired 18 wheeler mechanic. This poor woman took her truck to the local dodge dealer they charged her $1000 and returned it to her broken. In tears she was referred to me. I'll I can say is thank you for this video. You really helped me help a struggling single mom.
Single moms are poison.
Stop white knighting for them.
I also help single moms with missionary. Salute my friend 🫡
I’m amazed this was the first video that came up and fixed my AC. I was freaking the hell out. You sir are a savior!
Awesome glad this video helped out
I took my truck to three mechanics in order to figure out the problem with my fan, yet all told me that they could not figure it out. One place was a dealership. I discovered through the help of this video that this was my exact problem. I bent the prong to make it tighter and my fan now works. Thanks for the video!
Im glad I found this video. I’ve replaced blower motor and resistor and fuses and relays. On my 2014 ram 2500. But I really didn’t check my tipm or the connectors on the relay or the fuse. Thanks for making this step by step video.
I followed your advice on this and I had the same exact problem connector. Thank you for putting this info out there. This saved me a trip to the repair shop.
Same. Oz is a SAINT! Plus, it's 113 degrees here right now (not "feels like" but actual temp) and working A/C could be a lifesaver 🎉
WOW! I've been chasing the cause of this for YEARS! admittedly, I should've take it into a mechanic, but it's always hit or miss with electrical issues, especially intermittent. sure enough, Pulled the 40 amp fuse and it was charred on one side from heat, replaced that and it still shut off. I pressed on the tipm the same way you did and sure enough on and off...so I pulled it up and pulled the plug and BINGO! you could tell it was getting hot because it was too loose with no tension. I used a small screwdriver to bend it in and replace the tension and then spray contact cleaner on everything and good as new!! THANK YOU!
Great Video! I have a 2013 Ram 3500 Cummins with the same symptoms. I pulled and tested the Blower motor and resister which tested good. I ran across your video, went out lifted the TIPM touched the blue wire and the fan started working. This will save me a bunch of time, money, and headaches! Thank you!
Buster 1 hey no problem. Really stoked this video helped out
EXCELLENT VIDEO, Thank you! I will now be cancelling tomorrows 9am appointment that I had at the local mechanic shop.
Oz you are the Man. I've changed 2 tipms with this issue and always comes back. Finally found something that made sense and w edd get to the bottom of the problem. I can't thank you enough.
Thanks so much we had a bad connection on the relay, your video saved us a lot of headaches.
Thanks for the great video. Just reseating my relay seems to have worked on ours so far. Will have to check the connector when I get home.
Excellent troubleshooting and explanation. Thanks so much for your time!
Now that is a technician not run of the mill “parts changer”! About to try on my new 2013 RAM, but I would bet that’s my problem.
Thanks Oz!
thanks man, helped fix a coworkers truck on a cold ass morning. We both appreciate it! I found a loose blade terminal on the end of that dark blue wire. the relay and fuse were good, relay had good I/O. I back probed that connector and it sparked and the blower motor fired up. I scraped the corrosion and arcing out, squeezed the terminal tighter, put a dob of die-electric in there and sent it.
First video I pulled up while on the side of the road and you fixed my ac. Thanks a million!
Thank you!! Just made the fix on my 13! Good stuff!
Great work. My 2013 Ram blower would conk out after hard duty (high speed for over half an hour). Thanks to your video I checked mine and indeed the connector was not making good contact. I pulled it out, cleaned it with contact cleaner, crimped the spring a bit like you did and now it works (though I haven't given it the torture test again yet). I was lucky, I guess, that there was no heat damage to the connector body. I don't know if you mentioned it in the video, but it is cavity 21 in connector C7 under the TIPM (which my manuals call the Power Distribution Center or PDC)
Glad this video helped. If you feel like supporting the channel feel free to check out my oz mechanics merchandise
I love when I find a video that actually helps lol thank you! This was my problem as well
FIRST CLASS! Workin on my 2013 Ram 2500 now, no blower, fuse ok; relay ok; will triple check all; just got it back yesterday from radiator hoses and coolant replacement; first time running, not working; not sayin related; Thank you. Subscribed and thumbs up.
Oz great job, Fixed the problem without replacing tipm
awesome.. been fighting similar issues and was about to change the blower motor. This is a much better troubleshooting step if not the issue itself! Thank you!
I have another video I just put out with the same issue different outcome
Awesome and detailed explanation! Thank you! My 2018 ram blower just stopped all the sudden and working as a framer doesn't help in this Florida heat. It was the F13 green fuse. 🙌
Mike Rodrigues man it’s crazy how this is a common problem
You saved me!! 117 yesterday here in AZ and it was a simple fix. I did have to buy a new connector (the green clip) and that was a little pricey since I had to buy all the wires in a kit from the dealer. BUT, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
Where did you purchase the clip I am having same problem
Dude you the man live in Vegas 104 degrees haven’t had AC for 1 month just watched your video fixed my ac in 30 sec thanks bro 👍
What was the issue with yours man? My 14 ram is having the same issue.
2018 Ram 1500 Sport 65k miles. Blower began working intermittently, sometimes on sometimes off. Pulled fuse box (tipm) located blue wire as in the video. Performed drag test and found same results as video, relay connector had no tension to hold connector. Gave blue wire connector a slight crimp for more tension ( didn’t even remove wire from green housing, just took small needle nose and crimped). Reinstalled all connections and blower seems to be back to working consistently again. Thanks!
Awesome. Glad to hear you’re back and running
Great video Oz, pin fitment is extremely crucial. & that aes kit is top notch!
I love that aes kit !!
@@OzMechanics what is an aes kit?
Thanks alot man, i already replaced the resistor and blower motor in my 2013 ram and after watching your video sure enough it was that stupid wire connector the whole time! Good work!
Glad this video helped out
Oh thank you so much. I followed your steps in this video and found that my blower motor fuse had worked its way out slightly. I pressed it all the way in and the blower motor came right on. Well done sir, excellent content.
That fuse might be bad. I just made a video showing that issue

Its 115 in Vegas today. I dont know if I could've driven without finding this video. You sir are a lifesaver!!!
This video just saved me so much headache and I had a $280 fan speed controller on order which I was able to cancel.
Thank you
I just wanted to say your diagnosis was spot on. had the same issue with mine watched you video repair was easy ! Thanks You!
I have the exact same problem with my 2015 RAM! Thank you for making this video!
Glad this video helped out
Looks like the zip tie razors got your hands too. Happens to me all the time lol. Thanks for another great video
Thank you very much for your video, it helped me a lot. my truck is 2014 and I had that fault. I bought blower, BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR, fuses. thank you very very much.😎👍
Sano mtz glad this video helped out
Thank you so much! That fuse was almost completely black and that area on the connector is melted, so I have to replace it. But you saved me the money and trouble of replacing the blower motor and resistor. Thank you again!
Awesome to hear that. Really glad this video helped out on your repair.
Same exact problem! You are awesome! I thank you! My wife's truck and she thanks you! Keep up the great videos!

JOB WELL DONE. Good video, easy to follow.
So far, my A/C first 2 settings on dial stopped working in the last few weeks. Appreciate your video
Well, that just likely saved me thousands of dollars. Nailed the issue on the first try. THANK YOU! You definitely earned a sub!
Awesome. Glad to hear this video helped out
Yo!! This video helped us big time!!!!! We have a 7hr drive ahead of us in the summer heat. Thank you!! 🙏🏽
Glad this video helped
Man you saved me from dripping heat!!! Thank you!!
Awesome man. Thanks for watching
Only video I could find on CZcams for this you should post 5 more the exact same so it’ll be easier to find lol, very helpful
You just saved me a bunch of headaches!!! Push on the friggin fuse box and the blower kicks in! Thank you
Awesome!! Glad this video helped out
I've been told the fuse box on these dodge trucks has issues. My blower stopped working two days ago. I've checked the relay and fuse. Both are good. I was going to check and see if there's power to the blower motor but I keep thinking, it could be the fuse box. Now that I've seen this video, I'm going back to the fuse box and check it out before I mess with the blower motor. Thank you!
Hey Oz. Just moved to Texas a year ago, and my wife's mother in law's truck had this EXACT issue. Its just getting into summer right now. After swapping relays, checking fuse and verifying power at the blower motor, I found your video. There was voltage at the blower motor, but under load it would fail. I was at the end of my rope with this issue. - THANK YOU SO MUCH for putting these videos out there! - Ya got a new subscriber too!
Woooohooooo glad you got this figured out
Thxs for the video......pushed down on it like u did and blower came on....saved me time and money
Thank you sir God bless you this helped.
I just played with the reley
Thank you very much for the help great content 🙂 I got my AC fixed and it didn't cost me a thing good look

Thank you so much, the video was very helpful. I've had that problem for about over 2yrs , I've changed resistor twice, relay once and then fuse. After all that it stopped working once again, so put test light on connector to blow and didn't get anything. So I pulled fuse box and tugged on that blue wire and it clicked and that was it. Thank you so much my brother. And it a 13 Ram 1500 Hemi
@@KBear68 no problem. Glad this video helped out. And thanks again for stopping by to watch my video. Hope you have a great day
I did
@@OzMechanics Hi that problem came back, can you tell me where you got your parts from? I need those same parts.
Or can you repair it for me?
Dude, thank you for posting this. Same exact issue!!
You didn't add the link in the description on how to re-pin these. I have the same problem on my 13 Ram and that connector is burnt in the same spot. I'm going to try to repair today because Florida summers *SUCK* without AC
Great info. Thanks for keeping it clean. GOD BLESS
Thank you for the video, saved me time and money! RAM should have a recall for this!
You a great person, it helps me to fixed the issues.
Awesome. Glad this video helped
This fixed my issue as well - it was such a pain to diagnose. My multimeter showed 12v at the blower motor but the moment I turn the fan on the voltage drops entirely. After watching this I realized that the connection, while there, wasn’t solid enough to allow enough AMPs through to do anything.
Awesome. Glad this video helped out Dan
Thank you for this video so much, I had same issue with my 2016 ram 2500
Great video! I've been researching all afternoon as to why the a/c in my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 seems to work only intermittently. I'll definitely give your diagnostic method a try before replacing the resistor and/or blower motor.
Did it work ?
Thank you for your help, Texas gets too hot in the summertime without AC. My green and white connector block was also melted at the end and the fuse I took out was burnt. Has anyone contacted Dodge to find out if this is a warranty repair or recall? I was able to take a small screwdriver and Scrape out the melted plastic around the connector in the block and got a good connection again after that.
My blower stopped working too. Pulled the fuse and was burnt on one side but not blown. Replaced blower motor and resistor with no luck. Time to pull entire fuse panel 😡 was just about to buy a new switch panel for $400
Thank you so much for this. For me I ended up disconnecting power from the TIPM completely and it like, reset something I think. Cause after I reconnected power my blower started working about 10sec after I heard everything reboot
Hey Oz I’m a used car dealer in New York I have 2015 jeep grand Cherokee with exactly the same problem I took it to the dealership they wanted to change a blower motor resistor and complete fuse box quoted me $2800
Followed your video cost me 0
Thanks a lot brother
Great video, SAVE MY LIFE!!
Thank you so much for this video. EXACT same problem on my Durango!
This Fixed my problem, thank you
You just saved me a lot of money, great video
Awesome. Good to hear this video helped out bud. Hope you have a great day
Hey my truck is having the same problem do you have the link to fixing the pinouts ? Please and thank you
Dude. I replaced the blower motor, relay and fuse at the end of last summer, and then changed the blower motor. It seemed to fix it, but it was right when it started getting cooler. Been perfect since, until this morning getting in the truck to drive home from work. No air. I really don't want to fight this nonsense all summer again. I won't have time to dig into that connector until Saturday, but at least I have somewhere to start. It's weird to me that it only seems to be an issue when it's hot out. I will reply to this comment whether this is my issue or not. I can't believe I did all the research on this last year and never found this video, and today it was one of the top video result on Google.
Checked it before going to work this evening and hot damn. Used a pick to tighten the female connector and drove to work with AC. Thank you so much.
Wow dude great work
Great job OZ
Thank you for the tip and everything I appreciate it very much it’s a great education I have a Dodge 2017 Dooley make a cab my AC just stopped and I tried everything I could I can’t figure it out the fan works when I slightly Bang on the glove box it starts with the low airflow Anybody has any tips thank you
U are a life saver sir
Do you have a link for the green panel you replaced. Thanks
You are Da man. After watching your video went out and found the fuse blown. 5 dollar fix THANX. !!!!!

Awesome. Glad to know this video helped out
great video, mine ended up being the fuse but if it blows again, I will definitely be checking the pin on the dark blue wire! Thanks!
Thank you got my blower fan work same issue dodge 2019 ram tradesman classic
Outstanding video sir. Any chance you still remember the part number for this connector? Having a hard time tracking one down.
Oz Mechanics what’s that green box called because mine melted at the bottom and I can’t connect the blue wire with a connector on it
Thank for the video my problem is that the AC fan comes on when I start the engine and it shuts off after a while could the relay be shorted out. If I take the relay out would the truck run OK?
Great work
What is the green and white connector piece mine is melted and I need to replace that as well
You're the man!
