What everyone forgets about Giuliani is that he was on his way to prison before 9/11. As mayor of New York, he was forcing homeless families to relocate every night to different shelters on fleets of buses, preventing them from being able to connect with services or be anywhere long enough to get work and escape. A judge ruled this unconstitutional and ordered Giuliani to stop. Giuliani defied the court order and was about to get charged with contempt of court when the WTCs fell over and suddenly the media was fawning over him and the homeless people whose constitutional rights were being violated were just quietly pushed out of sight.

Is it really so surprising? Arpaio did far, far worse than this and he's a hero to the Republicans. Prescott Bush, grandfather to Dubya and patriarch of the whole Bush klan, made his fortune by selling oil to the Nazis to run the tanks. (You know, the tanks built by and bought from Henry Ford.) Not to mention the little fact that Prescott Bush was part of an attempted Nazi coup in 1933, and the only reason he avoided prison or a death sentence was that so many Wall Street billionaires were involved that it would have toppled the US economy to punish them.
The Republican Party is thoroughly riddled with actual Nazis. Not just people who are _like_ Nazis, or who support fascism, but actual, Adolf-worshipping, sieg-heiling Nazis.
