Given the level of detail and expertise, this was in no way random. The killer's skill level was in the top 1% or 2%. I tend to think there were two possibilities for motive: a.) revenge for what the killer perceived as a grievance, or b.) he wanted information from Al. Considering Al's job and the places he had worked, he almost certainly had a connection to the intelligence community, even if only as a contractor with clearance. Cooper could have been working for any number of countries or intelligence agencies, given the large amount of nations with interests relating to the Balkans, Algeria, and nuclear energy. Some government agency knows the truth, probably several actually, including the U.S.

The other “attempts” to rent a room from other landlords could simply be rehearsals. The meticulous planning indicate that Cooper had made plenty of research, so why not about this part as well? The reason why he waited to the third meeting was most likely because he by then knew the girlfriend would be out of town. The murder seems personal, as in either for extracting particular information, a personal vendetta or both. I believe Cooper was military, most likely special forces. To assume that he had spent a long time in the US because he spoke good English is nonsense btw.

There are *no* ghosts. You are experiencing exposure to infrasound, most likely from a defective appliance, or a electromagnetic field.
Both phenomenons are known to cause psychological and physical harm to the human body. Anxiety, paranoia, the feeling of being watched, depression and suicidal thoughts. An electromagnetic field can cause electrical disturbances or induce nausea, illness, night terrors, sleep paralysis, audio-visual hallucinations, seizure or even death in those hypersensitive.
There are *no* ghosts. Death is dead. If your 'ghost' isn't Number 1 or Number 2, it's a grift.
