Read the book "The CIA and the Cult of Intelligence" by Victor Marchetti sometime. He's ex CIA, and the Agency went to court to block him from writing an expose on the CIA, and they won. The book got printed, but it has words, sentences, and entire paragraphs deleted. You still get a lot of dirt on CIA, the world's scuzziest organization, but you have to wonder what they got censored.
At least they use blank squares for that. In my country, they black it out in such cases, sometimes resulting in dozens of pages being printed completely black every time someone prints out the dossiers.

I’m watching this with my mom and she said that back then, there were several domestic abuse and child neglect cases that were left alone due to not wanting to be involved or not wanting the trouble. It’s the “no snitching” mentality people had. Also, she explained that several people did not want the hassle of appearing in court to testify if it were serious. It’s sad people were to think that way and how much was gotten away due to that mentality.

Many cults specifically send members to quietly befriend unsuspecting victims currently having a hard time of it; and they don't reveal what the group is right away either. For instance "NXVIUM" (i think i botched the spelling of that one) sold itself as a way for women to find "Executive Success", or the Children of God, (or as it currently calls itself, The Family International) which sells itself as a Christian movement centered around God's love. Children of God is not actually just another Christian sect; i won't go into the details here. Doubtless you wouldn't believe it anyway if i just made the claim here on the youtube comments anyway.
Another technique used by these groups is Escalation. The main reason why we disregard former cult members as idiots like you did here is because when we research their cults, we can see the craziest claims they make instantly. Members are subjected to a slow escalation of beliefs, practices and behaviours so that by the time they get to the point of accepting the full dogma of their movement, they have already accepted many gradually more radical versions of that dogma anyway. As for cult members researching their group and finding their true beliefs earlier, the cult leader can just denounce the websites repeating said beliefs as liars trying to take down the group.
Also, the longer you stay in a cult, the harder it is to leave, due to cognitive dissonance. The more time and money you pour into the group, the less willing you are to accept that the investment was all for nothing.

One time, a co-worker was talking about when she was still in university, one of her teachers was working with ,what would be the version of child protection services in my country, told her class a story of a time when she had an emergency call in the middle of the day..... police had found in a dirty runnned down motel in my city 3 children: 1 girl about 11yo, and 2 boys about 8 and 3yo (ish) in company of a middle age man.... when the kids where evaluated by the psicologyst they found out they were born into prostitution, trafficked right from the womb (sounds gross, I know)... completely de-sensitized, never went to school, no identity, no one knew who the mom was, trained to comply any adult request, THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING TO THEM WAS WRONG! ..... anyway, about the man who was with them nobody knew who he was. It was rummored he was a well known rich bussiness-man from town, who paid top money to local authorities to keep the secret ..... what I'm trying to say is, if this is an occurrence in my neck of the woods, I 100% believe this happens too in a larger scale in richer, bigger countries.... There was a "Finders Guild" active in southern California during the 80's and 90's. A few of them went back and forth between Pomona, Riverside, Los Angeles and Mexico. I know because one hung out at the park that we crossed through to get to school and back home. He was super nice, friendly and talkative. My brother told our mom and she got really upset about it and lectured me for a long time about 'stranger danger'. I'm autistic so it's very difficult for me to not respond when spoken to, especially if the person is smiling. It's easy to accidentally fall into a conversation. Luckily I was able to stay firm on never going with him anywhere or getting into his car. We moved out of the area in my adolescence. I wonder if they still exist and are trafficking kids to this day?!

I remember being in an orphanage as a baby’ it was so clinical ~~ no human touch’ no comforting ~~ very cold atmosphere. I remember crying a lot. If my father wouldn’t had gotten me & my siblings out ‘ we probably would’ve been victims of the cult of the CIA. I also think being white saved us in the early 60,s. I’m not racist by no means’ but’ I heard that darker melanin children were sought after the most.

I was a child in the 1980’s. I lived in North Hollywood California. One day mid afternoon I was walking back home from school.I was 9 years old at the time. I saw a van with two men driving slow looking at me, and they kept circling the block and staring at me. The third time this happened I got quite alarmed and I went into the backyards of homes and started hoping the walls going from yard to yard. After a few yards I as scared as I was I peaked my head over the wall to see if the coast was clear, and to my dismay I saw the van and the men and they looked on edge and were very reluctant to find me. I got so scared and continued my run through the yards over walls till I luckily got home. There were so many countless kidnappings at the time, and also missing children. I was a very good looking child too! To think I could have been a victim of this still gives me chills to this day!

Wow dude. I thought it was common enough right? My mom always told us never believe anything anyone said if they "knew" your mom. I remember my sister and I walking home from school one day as a guy in sunglasses parked his car near a stop sign and waited for us to cross the path. He said he has AC in his car and could give us a ride home and the he knew our mom. It was a HOT summer day and I was like, "Okay...". Thank god my sister was there and was like, "Hey, mom said not talk to strangers here...", then something just clicked in my head and I was like WE NEED TO RUN HOME NOW.
Later that year a very well known kidnapping/disappearance happened to a kid in one of my sisters classes. Makes sense now that mid Florida is one of the biggest hotspots of human trafficking.

If you don't mind me saying, your early work is rather unremarkable. As I scrolled down your channel, it was like I was turning back the clock on youtube videos I've watched before that were all a dime a dozen.
But, I very much have enjoyed your more well researched, and in depth looks into the morbid musicians.
GG was a hoot, but he was mostly shock, and a fast burn, but a good vid none the less. The vid on the blues guy who sold his soul, was also good, I enjoyed you diving into the legend, then bringing a rational ight to the fact that he disappeared for a year or two, and a year or two of hardcore guitar playing can definitely improve your skills.
As for your Mayhem vid, it was very good. I used to be a headbanger, and I've heard the legends of the cannibalism, and the bone necklace, and it was nice to see it presented with facts and a good timeline.
Also, Helter Skelter was the first novel/non fiction book I ever read, so I knew a lot about manson since a young age, and I think you did a good job talking about him, without showing him the glorification and upper respect a lot of people do.
I hate the guy, but he's still fascinating as a study, a legend, a nutcase, and as another rotting corpse. I thought your vid was informative, non glorifying, and def told the story of an aspiring musician, who had the worst kind of grudge, and turned in the utmost wrong direction. It's funny to me that the Head FBI Agent in Charge of LA Ted Gunderson did a lecture on all of this in 2005 and that lecture he gave is still on CZcams. He holds up a stack of documents and said "They're called THE FINDERS ". He talks about the McMartin Preschool case, Franklin Cover-up, OKC Bombing, WTC 1993 Bombing, 9/11 and much more...but he went into this subject first. He died in 2011 and I ask, why isn't anyone tipping their hat to this hero or mentioning his name in these videos? The regular public often will vigorously turn a blind eye to anything that seems like a conspiracy in any way whatsoever, even when there is hard evidence, and then when it comes out to be true will be all like "WOW WHO KNEW?!?!?". While conspiracists tend to hold on to conspiracies and propagate them, even when they are clearly dead in the water and mean nothing.
They add in the "Satanic" elements on purpose so that it sounds ridiculous when people try to retell it to others. That's why the wear masks and dress weird. You can see examples of this by google searching "Rothschild costumes / Surreal Ball" They wear dead animals on their faces and heads and say it's for 'fashion and surreal art'... no. It's for much darker purposes. This stuff still goes on, to this day, October 8th, 2020. Curious? Check out the movie "EYES WIDE SHUT" by Stanley Kubrick and read about it.
