I remember riding the Schussboomer at Worlds of Fun in the mid 1970s. It remains my favorite, even after riding 30-40 coasters around the world. Very neat that you did this!
fantastic work
going to WOF tomorrow. i'm probably shed a few tears at where my 2 favorite coasters stood. but i'm gonna TRY and have fun.... key word is TRY. lol
The music is nostalgic for my mom scince she visited WOF when she was a kid
@zac613 St. Galler Schublig (Music from the Swiss Mountains).....really it's a song they play at WOF in the Scandinavia Section? Then I'm better at picking the music for these WOF coaster videos than I thought, cause that's exactly what I was going for, to emulate the music of the park, but it was totally unintentional. : )
Outstanding work! This was the very first coaster I ever rode back in the early 80s, and got me hooked on them.
Thanks for bringing back the memories!
AWESOME! oh and what is the name of the polka song in this vid? i've heard the song before at Worlds Of Fun and always wondered what the name of the song was. What's the next coaster gonna be?
@modelrollercoasters i didn't make it to the park. to long of a drive and my friend who was suppose to go with me got food poisioning. we'll try again sometime in October
wow very good
Going to Union Station Friday to see everything. Will the exhibit be open till 5pm?
Very nice! Great job!
@Deathriken It's actually on styrene plastic that's about as thick as poster board. Thanks for the compliments and the more I look at the model, it does look like a wild mouse.
This is so cool! What is it made of?
@modelrollercoasters yeah. well i should put it as WOF use to play polka music in the Scand. section. my friend went sunday and she said only like 3 of the sections were playing themed music. she said that the rest of the sections were playing stupid bubble gum pop and crap. she told me that she will never step foot in the park again after seeing it go to waste. R u still trying to make a model of the Zambezi Zinger?
@zac613 Where was this in WoF I must of been really young o.O
@RYansAdams79 It was located on the site of the Grand Carousel (the south helix) and north a bit. It was replaced in 1985 by the Festhaus blue and white tent.
Nice work! You kept it simple and still achieved a great tribute. Looking forward to your Zambezi Zinger design.
great remake on a classic Schwarzkopf wildcat i love these kind of rides!
They are very similar, however they are not the exact same coasters. They are made by two different companies and the layouts are slightly different. But they are in the same coaster category, portable fairground types. The one at the Fun Plex is much taller too (and a pretty fun little ride I might add.)
Was this roller coaster located next to the Orient express at World's of Fun ?
Yes, just across the creek in Scandinavia.
@@modelrollercoasters I thought so
@Deathriken It's actually a Schwarzkopf Wildcat model. It really is like comparing an apple and and orange, they are both fruit, but are different in many ways. There are no sharp 90 degree turns on a Wildcat...
@zac613 Yes, I'm doing all 5 coasters from 1980, including the Zambezi Zinger! I'll have another coaster (maybe 2) to debut soon. Also information about the Project 31 exhibit will be posted soon. Folks will have 3 chances to see Project 31, I have a meeting today about one of the venues. I'll release an announcement video with details VERY soon!
@zac613 You should come the weekend of the 15th and attend the Grand Opening of the roller coaster exhibit at Union Station featuring this very model and the other original 4 : )
excelente modelo
@modelrollercoasters point taken. maybe i jus saw the one car and thought wild mouse on instinct. anyways i love hoe the track is done. its pretty ingenius. jus looks like a strip of paper. you my friend are a genius
@tke919 Thanks for you comments. And if I brought back memories, I did my job! : )
holy hellhole its a really messed up wild mouse lol
@zac613 Try very hard : )
LOOL ist it possible that this model has the same track as a old schwarzkopf which stands in schwabenpark, Germany?
yes
This is just like the one at fun plex NE THE BIG OHHH!
