- So...about this #jordan 3 #wnba .... it was a miss but not because it's desert camo alone...the upper isn't bad at all...but almost NOTHING about this outwardly screams these #sneakers are WNBA focused.

I think that Jordan missed an opportunity to have Nina Chanel Abney release her Jordan 3 (or another orange color way) during WNBA All-Star weekend . The W deserves a more excellent shoe than this.

It could have stayed on the drawing table until the NFL season to celebrate the military or something that makes sense with the camo print. This was beyond lazy to honor the WNBA. At least the All-Star jerseys look good.

And even when they told us what it was, it still doesn't make sense
Should have thought outside of the box and had the Nina Chanel Jordan 3 collab be the WNBA “exclusive”. This one is not a good representation of ANYTHING not military related. It only has the WNBA logo on the insole so they could’ve literally added that to any 3. As dope as it came out, had Nina’s design been a “WNBA collab” it would’ve been even more hyped and more than likely already been locked in as SOTY on most people’s lists.
Thinking outside of the box would've been nice, but no pair for me would be a lock for SOTY this early, nor would one designer be able to guarantee that (at least to me).

Supreme 5s are desert camo styled. I watned those just for that. I love camo. These would scratch that itch. But for a WNBA shoe it doesnt scream that. Which may or may not be a bad thing for sales.

I had exact reaction when i saw em i was like wtf does camo have to do wit WNBA. They literally look like a Supreme Jordan 3. Just like the jordan 5 camo supreme collab. Honestly should have saved these for a supreme collab.
I like the shoe but yeah it's one of those iykyk type of deals...it would've been smooth to put the orange wnba logo on the ass instead of the jumpman and just maybe more hits of orange through out the camo print🤷

As a big WNBA fan, I would have loved a true pair of WNBA Jordan 3s, but I have to agree that these don't make much sense. I've heard the desert camo is because the All Star Game is in Phoenix, but that still doesn't really add up. It would have been cool to see those green Jordan 4 "First Class" PEs release instead.
That would have been cool, the designer absolutely knocked those out of the park.
Yeah I don't know how those are supposed to be themed towards the wnba. Perhaps a greyscale shoe like the court floor. Though perhaps those would be too close to the Paris 4s or Cement 3s dropping in August. I loved the wnba PE 4s that dropped earlier this year. I don't get exactly how those related to the wnba either but they were super dope.
I forgot the exact story for those PEs but it made sense, these do not. I'm not the biggest fan of the gray courts but that would've made a little bit of sense.

AMEN! How do you size out women you are technically honoring because many of them are over 6 foot and wear larger sizes...just like some fans.

one thing about Nike/Jordan brand, you can bet on them releasing products that make zero sense. i have this thought regularly as a Size 13 M seeing the most unisex of pairs haphazardly labeled as Women’s Exclusives. so many pairs myself and others would buy up immediately if they extended the sizing. potential bangers. they willingly leave so much money on the table. so much so that it’s counterintuitive to being a business - the whole point. i truly understand exactly why their numbers are declining. and they deserve it.
they lack logic - at scale. grand oversight.

You're not wrong, one of their many missteps, these and many others would do better in unisex sizing because some women have bigger feet too if they are taller, yet still are sized out of women's pairs.
TJ isn't saying that it isn't a decent shoe for someone out in the world.
TJ is saying that the overall look of this shoe has nothing at all to do with the WNBA.
What we are seeing here is a lazy display of something that wasn't treated with any level of respect... Idk why I'm the only person who gets this...
Many get it here in the comments, thankfully, but you'll have some that just say it's trash or get mad because they assume my critique means it's trash, far from it. Execution to relate it to the W is sadly terrible.
