Met Alastair here in Aotearoa New Zealand at The Learning Connexion Institute for Creativity and Art. Wonderful man. So inspiring hear him in this interview and to see him pursuing his art.
These are fantastic interviews and I am in deep gratitude for your sharing these to the world.

Elegantly gritty and masculine costumes & interiors are worth a visit regardless of the content, but here, happily, these guys are no posers. Glad to explore this tableau of philosophy.

Epigenetics plays a part in passing on artistic proclivities: it does help that (male) artists were a few generations ago were able to marry.

I agree. Contemporary culture cheats our ancestors out of their due, in terms of our reverence, honor, and even memory. Those family history books can be had for pocket change at charity shops. These journals can seem overwhelming at first glance, but just take one bite at a time and fill them out. Someone a hundred years or more can see a private history that is meaningful. We may think we dont do anything remarkable. However, people in the future will wonder how we survived consumerism, corporatocracy, and perhaps endless war and division.
I do suggest running fewer ads. Their number is distracting. That said, the slow-paced discussion is anti-CZcams, a respite from the slick, hurried and glossy presentations endemic to this platform.
