Huh, so I took the test and got 90%. 😮 I had started feeling lost on what value the type of art I gravitate to has in today's world, and why I couldn't find contemporary painters who painted like the old masters. I had become a little frustrated because I have never understood modern art. I l've always been drawn to the craft itself, like human sculptures, high quality digital and traditional expressive, paintings and characters. There's a beauty in them that I couldn't describe, I always feel it when I see them. 😊 My background is in graphic design and digital illustration, been studying fine art under a teacher though because I wanted to improve my skills. And my journey has brought me to this movement I had never heard of before. They taught us Kitsch in university but the concept was different than this. Even though the main meaning "cheap" stays the same. It's laughable that the modern movement would call this type of fine art "cheap", with all the garbage they produce.

I took the test and had 100%. I'm an hobbyist miniature painter, work in law and guided the answers by the aesthetic philosophy of st. Thomas Aquinas, or at least what commentators have extrapolated to be his principles in art.

Many of the Kitsch answers are based on Aristotelian philosophy, so no surprise there!

as 17 year old, I always tought i was an "artist ", but my value system is 100% Kitsch. This was a huge relevation, now I finally have the direction in which I want to go in from now on! I always wanted to achieve mastery of classical painting, but people around me were pushing their art originality values onto me, and I simply just disagreed. Thank you guys so much for this podcast, it was eye opening

I did the test and obtained 60% answering truthfully as I see my work (only a part time artist). I found it interesting and thought provoking with the answer correct for me.

50% I can live with that.

I had 100% and paint as a hobby. While I love Zorns sensual paintings I also love some paintings that makes faces more ugly than in reality, but in a beautiful way, like some Goya paintings for example. Does that make me un-kitsch?
