You take the back off like he did here, take out the Ram cards in there, put in your new ones... And probably disconnect the battery like he did in this video before you switch them.

First of all, my unit AN515-51 did not come with a hard drive mounting bracket or any screws or ribbon connectors of any sort. Additionally, there is not place that I can find to plug in a new drive. Not place for the ribbon cable to plug in.

Any 2.5" drive with a depth less than 9.5mm should fit, so that's either HDD or SSD drives. The M2 port will need an NVMe drive, the Acer here supports Gen 3, though I'm not sure if it supports Gen 4. Always go for a name brand from a reputable site or dealer too; don't buy used or a generic brand that you've not heard of. Samsung, SanDisk, Kingston, Western Digital, Seagate; all well known brands. Capacity varies, though the larger the capacity the more they cost, and if you decide to RAID the drives, you need 2 identical drives, (if you don't know what that is, chances are you don't need to do it). HDD's and RAM are some of the easier components to upgrade in gaming laptops, once you do it once you'll be confident in doing it, however CPU's and GPU's are very difficult, if not impossible. If you're unsure, ask if a tech friend can either show you how it's done or talk you through it.
yea u can upgrade by yourself but then i think its gonna violate the warranty if u open the back case by yourself also the employee in Acer knew u open the back case cause the last screw is actually cover by a sticker(sealing tape)
right above the replacement harddrive is a slot for the ram just plug the ram drive into it and then you got more ram you can tell because the ram drive from factory is parallel to it
No, upgrading or installing any hardware(like SSD, HDD, RAM) on the Acer laptop will not void the warranty, even if you break the seal. The warranty will void only if you break anything during the process. ... DO NOT TRY TO UPGRADE your laptop yourself.... or do just dont break anything
Really? Any 7mm laptop hard drive... As far as regular hard drives are concerned, a hard drive is a hard drive, unless it's one of those Seagate barracudas or wd Black or something, which are even better.

If you lose your D: drive when you hibernate or go to sleep then it could be the motherboard or the drive. I am assuming this is your second SSD and not your main drive. If you have another drive I would clone that drive to it and use it. If that one doesn't disconnect then it was the drive. If it does then you might want to see if you can get a warranty replacement for your Mobo.

I have an technical problem, could you help me? I have an laptop (Acer Aspire E5) that doesn‘t boot. What I can say: Earlier it had normal boot times. But like 2 weeks before the problem, it suddenly had longer boot-times/loading-times.The last use it loaded 30-45 minutes (!!!) and then showed the logo. And before the last use, also 4/6/7/8/... minutes. After it loaded into Windows, it was... normal. And now it completely stopped booting. The single thing I see is a very weak flash/blink every 1.3 seconds. Can you help me?
when you download a game it takes storage. A laptop or pc has an SSD (a solid state drive) which has your storage capacity. Lets say my ssd has 256 gigabytes of capacity. And a game i downloaded takes up 248 storage. then i have 8 gigabytes left but i doubt that's enough to get a second game. so assuming your laptop or pc has an hdd (Hard drive) It does the same thing an ssd does. it has adds more storage capacity allowing you to get more games.

your PC's HDD is most likely 3.5" and if so won't fit. For alaptop HDD you need to buy a 2.5" HDD form factor

It doesn't violate the warranty. Only violate it if you take the whole motherboard out. That's like saying you can't get it upgraded at all
They wouldn't include screws for you to upgrade the drive if they would void your warranty for using them...

Must be bought separately, doesnt matter what company makes the hard drive as long as it's 2.5 SSD. Just search for that, simple.
