I appreciate that! I've tried to make my tuts shorter when possible. This was particular easy I didn't have to do much on the inside. Had some games I wanted to try this week so I jumped in there. IMO only one was good and that was As Dusk Falls or whatever it was called.

I tried to install 9mm height hdd but couldn't put back the back panel does that mean i can only install 7mm height hdd? (It's 2022 model)
I generally tell people to not install a hard drive over 2TB as its generally thicker. Using an NVME or SSD will support higher capacity with no dimension increases.
I'm not really that tech genius but I really want to know what the upgrade does to your laptop 🤔
Without it, you are stuck with using the M.2 slots.

No, this just allows you to install an extra 2.5 HDD or SSD.

If your machine has a SSD in the M.2 slot then more than likely you will need this. Should be in the box if you purchased it new.

Pretty much any 2.5 SSD or HDD under 2TB. If you go larger it may be too thick. Go for Samsung, Crucial.

Your Nitro should have come with the HDD upgrade cable in the box.
can you help me bro i was doing the exact tutorial but when i turned it on the laptop read it as my old hdd name and then it's not responding, when i exit the pc and open it again, the disk is gone, what should i do?
If possible, see if you can attach the drive to another computer and format it. If you cant do that try using an external drive enclosure to attach to your computer to be formatted. Remember, this is just adding more storage not replacing the drive that's in there.

Enables the use of a SATA SSD.
if i add that i wont have to re-download all of my games or lose all of my files? also after doing everything u did will my laptop automatically starting using the space from the new ssd? bc i have 0gb left on my laptop
Follow my instructions to get the drive to be recognized. You will then have access to the drive space to install your new games.

@@persimmer Yes. You are not erasing your main drive. You will be adding a drive. Your main (C) will not be touched. Make sure you select the correct drive when formatting. If I remember correctly, Windows will not let you format your Main drive since the installation is located there.

The capacity is fine but the thickness is the issue. The drive needs be at or below 7mm in height or it will not fit correctly.

the speed is limited to max speed of SATA , expect 200 MB/s on samsung sata ssd in real scenario
Cable (in most cases) doesnt changes speed. Limitations of SATA standart changes speed. Maximum speed of a sata disk is near to 500mb/second.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but when the new drive is plugged in my laptop won't turn on. The light flickers for a second but that's it. Did I do something wrong?

I connected it via USB and it works fine that way but as soon as it's hooked up internally, it won't turn on.
This is strange. If possible I would try a different brand of drive. If the problem still persists there could be something going on with the MB. This is seriously odd.
How do you know if you installed it wrong?
You will not see your drive.

@@ambuyatbangass5856 Do you see a listing in your BIOS? If it is not there check the cable at both ends. If it is shown then goto computer management and initialize it.
