TSN 3 days ago “the Jets have an unfavourable matchup”
TSN now “the Jets have a favourable matchup”
"They get out skated and destroyed by special teams"
Jets proceed to get 2 pp goals and skated circles around them lol
@@Noot_Penguin Mackinnon is the type of guy who can get 3 pp goals in a night and it doesn't even get mentioned by the media. Then add in Makar and so on. 2pp goals doesn't get rid of the issue. Mack can steal games, especially if Pionk/whoever gets themselves kicked from a game. The Jets best hope is a fast sweep, otherwise the high altitude and power plays/penalities will kill them.
Another reason to not listen to these clowns. They only care about the Leafs
@@dixonhill1108They've outscored the Avs 17-4 this year lol
@@evictioncarpentry2628 In regular season games, playoffs are a totally different thing. And those first 2 games were entirely different rosters from what the jets have now.
4 min video. 1 min on Avs-Jets, 3 min on Hart race. Great title.
Thats TSN for ya. Glad the Jets had a minute.
Well, lets look at this for what it is. The last 3 times the Jets played Colorado,
they beat them, and the last game they thumped them badly. The Jets have
better Goaltending and more depth. You could say Colorado has more offensive
power, but not by much, when you figure the Jets depth scorers, like Monahan,
Toffoli, Niederreiter, Lowry etc. I think the Jets match them or exceed them. Also
if you look at Goaltending ( very important), big advantage to the Jets. Jets
have 2 great Goaltenders, one a starter, and their backup.
Judging by their games this year, I'll take the Jets in 6 games. GJG. Because
this is a playoff series, and your playing against an offensive powerhouse, it also
wouldn't surprise me to see Colorado win this. Should be a great series. That
MacKinnon is one fast, talented hockey player, so the Jets need to contain him.
I am a Jets fan of course, and pulling all the way for them. GJG.
😬
This Should be a great series GoJetsGo!!
Jets beat Colorado all the times this season and out scored them 17-4
The Kraken beat the Avalanche last year in the first round because they were a deep team that were opportunistic on offense and could match up against Colorado's dominant top-six forwards and then win the depth battle.
That sounds a lot like the Winnipeg Jets right now.
I predict the Jets win in 6 games.
Last year colorado was also beat to hell with injuries.
the kraken didnt even play the avs last playoffs they essentially played our ahl team
@@tobinkern5389 Jets lost Scheifele and Morrissey during their first round series last year and couldn't recover. I believe the Jets and Avalanche are mostly healthy at this time so it's game on.
@@jetsrno1 True it will be a good battle
Respect to Marty! He has held faith in the jets all year.
And this is why Marty is cringe in these videos. His takes are as piss poor as his goaltending was

Right on, we need all the support we can get -- GJG - Jets in 6.

Avs because of their top end talent, playoff experience and proven success. That being said, Winnipeg is a more complete team with far more depth and better goaltending.
Huge Avs fan, management has thrown away possibly the best year Nathan MacKinnon (or any Av) will ever have because they didn't address goaltending. Miss me with the excuses, Goregiev has been dog water all season. I think Georgiev has become a problem in the room with his crappy attitude (shown by him throwing his broken stick at an equipment guy after letting up four in 15 shots). I will be shocked if they make it out of the first round, but anything can happen.
That being said, if MacKinnon doesn't win the MVP the league is on its *ss. Not to downplay what Kuch has done this year, but when you dive deeper than surface stats it shouldn't be close. Kuch is awful defensively and is getting dominated in all WAR metrics by MacK, McD and Matthews. He set the NHL record for empty netters this year (I think he's at 14), has something like 20 less 5v5 points than MacKinnon, and is also being dominated in +/-. The 50 points more than Point excuse dosent hold water either when the Bolts have 4 other guys at 70+ point to the Avs 2.
“Dog water” eh! That’s pretty good. Can use that?
Dude I think they got four guys pushing ninety points, right??? There's only one person that gets close to being as good as mcdavid, and that's mackinnon. Kuch Has never been considered the best player any season. He's been in the league, including this one.
@@alelectric2767🤣
My dog's water is fresh as fuck 24/7 and my Avs have been fresh as fuck this series.
@tobinkern5389 yeah, Georgie looked good after game 1. I hope he continues to prove me wrong. Some people think that criticism=wanting a player to fail, couldn't be further from the truth. I hope Georgie keeps making me eat crow, because if he does not alot is going to stand in the avs way!
Avalanche lead the NHL in goals. However, Nichuskin/O'Connor/Mittelstadt/Wood have combined for 3 points altogether in the last 5 games.
Connor Hellebuyck has been godlike so far in April. 1.74 GAA and .949 save % after allowing only 7 goals on 138 shots in the last four games.
Meanwhile, Georgiev has proven to be insufficient as a starting goaltender (3.02 GAA, .897 save %) and now we could see the Avalanche's playoff hopes fall onto the lap of a rookie in Justus Annunen if Alexander cannot meet expectations to start off this series.
Josh Morrissey appears to be leading all defensemen in April with 8 points in his last 6 games, including the goal and 2 assists he scored the other night against Colorado.
Will be interesting to see how that series turns out. Colorado's struggle to get past the first round following a Cup win could turn into a real storyline if they fail to overcome their

You seem to be the only person with 2 brain cells in the comments section. Bravo
Colorado has the advantage. They have been to the Stanley cup final and won it recently. The jets went to the conference final once in their history, 5 years ago. Experience counts for much. Either of these teams can win the series. -Jets fan
Jets have multiple players who have won the cup
LOL! What? What they did prior has zero effect.
Based on the regular season, the Jets. But anything can happen in the playoffs.
The Jets could blow a 2-0 lead and lose in 6 or the Avalanche could get swept. Who knows.
I’m gonna say the Jets win though. They have a deeper forward group than the Avalanche, they’re better defensively and they have the league’s best goaltending.
It's gonna be a coin toss, there's no clear advantage disadvantage in this. The Avs have the high altitude advantage which is gonna be brutal for the Jets to deal with.

As an Avs fan, Jets in 5
😬
I would like to say the Jets take it based on depth and goaltending, but you can never predict a playoff matchup. Literally anything can happen in the playoffs. For example, I don’t think a single person would have predicted Florida going all the way to the Stanley Cup Final last year.
My prediction is either a Jets sweep, or they win the first 3 and the avs do a reverse sweep in the last 4. The Jets won't be able to maintain an edge against the avs. People like Pionk/Stanley can't help themselves, there will be major penalties etc.

New season once playoffs start, what happened before needs nothing. Remember Jets beating Edmonton in 4 games in playoffs.
I picked the Jets 2 months ago as a sleeper pick (they give up less goals than any team in the league) but Mac and Makar are too scary
The Jets are definitely better defensively. But you are completely, utterly, high AF if you think the AVS and jets are close offensively.
It depends on the game, or the string of games. The Jets have a lot of depth scoring. Just a handful of games ago their 4th line had 3 goals. It's a hyper unpredictable team. For whatever reason the cold and hot streaks seem to be across the roster.
The Jets lines 2-4 are all better than the Aves equivalent line. However the Aves line 1 is way better than Jets. If you think the Aves third and 4th lines are even comparable to Jets 3rd and 4th lines YOU are high as fuck.
@@draxoff you sure about that???
