Your Presence, Your Beauty, My Surrender | Worship Set | 11.20.22

- Guys this may be one of the rawest moments of worship you'll catch me in. My jank recording setup in my tiny room, my skin care just chillin in the background, my upside down stuffed animal, my bare face, and so much more. If I'm being honest, uploading these worship sets is so difficult for me because I get so insecure about how I look when I worship. I make so many weird faces, mess up on the piano, move my body in weird ways, get the worst angles of my face LOL. But, when I worship and get caught up, I can't deny that this is my raw worship. It's the purest form of my worship, and it's for Jesus. I'm praying that the Holy Spirit gives me the boldness to continue laying down my insecurities for the sake of being obedient to all God calls me to. I also pray that in denying myself and my own comfort/ way I want to present myself to others, the Lord would use these raw sets to minister to you who are watching and encourage you all to be free and undignified in your personal worship as well! Christ perfectly crafted you and you are the most beautiful in His eyes :) When you bring your personal worship to Him, it's beautiful.
ANYWAYS... the heart behind this set. I found myself (currently in my life) getting caught up in the busyness and in my worries and not enough in the presence of God. The place where I need to be, the place of my peace, the place with my most important one, etc. This set came from a place of being hungry for the presence of God and just longing to be with Him, urging my heart to return to its rightful posture in His presence. But as I sought His presence, naturally, I was reminded of His beauty and magnificence. When I sit at His feet and look at Him, everything else fades away. Nothing else matters. All my anxieties, my doubts, my weaknesses, everything just stops as I sit in awe of His beauty. His holiness. His radiance and glory. Then when I see His face, I am automatically led to surrender. To want to give up everything just to be closer to Him and for Him to do whatever He wants to do in me. To give anything that's of worth for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done. I don't know very well how to explain it, but He is just the most important to me, the main thing. Every answer to every question and confusion is found here in His presence, the answer is Jesus. I'm always so humbled when I'm reminded that everything else in life is just extra pieces but that the center of everything, the most important is Jesus. My flesh is so quick to forget and everything starts to fall apart, why? Because I'm not in the presence of God, always.
Just a word of encouragement. We are not perfect, nor are we meant to be. As humans, we're so forgetful, but the only place that will give us peace is in His presence. We can look for anything else and try to take control of everything, but at the end of the day, we'll all arrive at the same place. With the most important, the most loving, the most gracious, the most beautiful, because that's where we belong :) So take heart! Return to Him, He is all you need and all you are looking for.

Don’t ever think about how you look when you worship King Jesus. Just give everything you have in your worship to Jesus. Allow God to flow through you. When you give your whole self to Jesus in worship, everything is beautiful. God bless you as you pour yourself out to Jesus.

Your worship sets really speak to me. I was going on a walk listening to this, relating to it, and I had a thought about a worship song I always sang in chapel when I was in 8th grade. Then you started singing it “I wanna sit at your feet drink from the cup in your hands…” and I started crying bc I literally felt like the Holy Spirit was like “I hear you I’m with you, I have returned your heart of flesh, the heart you had for me when you were first saved”. Then as you kept signing, I felt anger with God. I recently broke an engagement and it came to me that I really wanted that. It was like a fairytale love story that came true - but God kept calling me out of it. And I surrendered it and I’m still going through all the emotions with God. Feeling thankful that He spoke to me and saved me perhaps from something that was truly not for me, but also feeling sad that God took that from me. You started singing “come and do whatever you wanna do, I’ll make room for you, in my heart” and again I felt the Holy Spirit reminding me…that He was pleased with my surrender, with me letting go of the relationship and my freshly desires “Lord move however you wanna move and say whatever you wanna say, take whatever you wanna take, change whatever you wanna change”…. I was being so stubborn in surrendering but the peace that came over me when I did…❤ “my heart is an open space” I feel like God has the space to heal me and to have communion with me.
I’m in such a sweet place with Him. I don’t wanna move from here.

When you were playing I started singing out “your beautiful”. I thought I was being spontaneous and then you started singing it too. Either the Piano or the Spirit prompted me not sure which. I love worshiping King Jesus with you so much!!!!❤❤❤

hello :) this is an older video so i'm not sure if you'll see this but i just wanted to thank you for what you are doing and for what the Lord is doing through you. your videos pop up on my feed every time i'm going through something and your heart behind that set always aligns perfectly with what i'm going through in that moment. your worship sets and descriptions always bring me back to the place of me realizing once again how broken i am and how much i truly need the Lord. I thank God for your heart for worship and ministry and most of all, your heart for Him. Thank you for allowing us to enter in with you into the Holy of Holy. Everything we do, everything we are is for the Glory of the King. I just want to encourage you to set it all at Jesus’s feet. Dive deep into the living word, allow it to transform you from the inside out. Just remember when everything is falling around us, He is always in full control. Be blessed and never apologize for true worship for it’s just a small act of gratitude to our King who suffered it all on our behalf. First song gave me goosebumps. Some of the other songs might too, I haven't finished listening, I just was so moved by the first one I wanted to comment right away lol. I love that you weren't afraid to make a bold artistic choice in regards to the very soft almost whispering singing at the beginning, it works to a T (sounds a bit like the artist Grouper if you know her music, though also totally original and unique to you at the same time). And when it gets louder that works to a T too, you have a great voice. Also I read your description and just want to say please don't listen to the voices in your head saying your facial expressions are weird when you get into the music. I have heard a musician express a similar discomfort about what their face does when they are really emotionally plugged into their music but really its not that unusual for a musician's face to do these things when they are really plugged in, and even if it were unusual, there wouldn't be anything wrong with it. It is if anything a good thing, a sign that you are really plugged into the feeling behind the song in a raw and authentic way. I think this is what most people are looking for in a singer, that genuine passion, it is if anything a bonus and heightens the performance/experience. I did want to say and this is just a thought but you may want to consider recording with a real piano in the future if you have access to one... the keyboard doesn't sound bad but the rich, vibrant sound of a real piano could really enhance the sound in my opinion... in any case I know I would love to hear it. Really great all in all though, at least what I've heard so far... looking forward to listening to the rest and checking out the rest of your stuff!

I'm working on definately trying to get better overall equipment in the future but trying to make it work out financially as of now! I used an AT2020 mic and my piano is a midi! :) used garageband for recording, hope this helps!
