Wow! You are far too kind. Such a nice recognition from one of my favorite woodworkers and inventors! Love your channel. Thanks Izzy!
My pleasure man keep killing it!
Hey, his and your channels are great, but it gets totally up the crap to see the same stuff go around and around.
That was really rad and super classy!
Yup you and Izzy 👍
Man, the level of collaboration and uplifting each other is so nice to see!
Yep, totally borrowing your dust collection ideas! Thanks Izzy!
So awesome
“............a drill press is made for drilling holes and that is kinda the boring side of what it does.........” Great pun😜
YES! Glad someone caught that. I try. Lol
Hole in One>?
It's weird that I'm so cheered up by watching a stranger WALK around his shop.
you are looking good izzy, great to see
Live Long Izzy, and Prosper........
Great fence. Thanks for showing. The best part of the video is at 3:53 when you are hesitating if you should pick the fallen board from the floor or not. In the end you didn't (at least not on camera) but it's a great proof of you going the right way. Keep it up!
I bought mine off of the Gunflint Designs affiliate code. I’m super super stoked to get it in the mail and was about to make a drill press fence when I saw the first promo video hit my subscription feed. Looking forward to using the heck out of it.
Great fence and great jig ideas.
Ordered mine....and love that dust collection idea!
Izzy I love the way you find a way to make even the simplest design do more. It still blows me away. 👍👍
Ordered mine on day 1 from Andy, cant wait to receive it.
I didn’t need a drill press fence but found on their site an angle adjustable jig for welding Thanks for the discount. Nice to keep $27. In the pocket.
Andy owes you a couple of beers Izzy, you did a brilliant sell there!
Cracking idea, love the extraction idea too
great video man...thx!
Nova Voyager is the drill pres for now and the future. It is the best I've seen. I would like to see a bigger screen. I like the way it stops the bit when you hit the depth setting. I saw it demoed at Rockler Wow. I want one.
Awesome design! Could definitely use this!
Izzy..you are the man!!
Good tool! Thank you for video!
3:45 the moment Izzy had to give in and accept gravity is a thing after all.
HAHAHAHA
Yeah you could turn it into a jigsaw if your name is Izzy Swan 🤣😂🤣 That jig looks awesome, thanks for sharing.
Love them or hate them but shopsmith has one of the nicest drill presses for woood workers. The adjustable table and fence. The miter can be locked into tje slide and set at any angle and the table tilts over 45 degrees. Not to mention the ability to be used horizontal as a boring machine. Great for using a mortiseing drill chisel.
Even if you're stumbling across your words, you're still standing! So nice to see that! Also, love the fence.
Fantastic explanation of a great product!
This fence and mag are more expensive than the actual drill press I have 😂
Great stuff as usual
Thanks izzy
Done! Pulled the trigger. This looks awesome. Thanks Izzy!
Looks good!
Ingenious
I like the fence!
I just purchased the smaller fence to use on the welding table.
I always enjoy your genius designs! I have mounted an electric straight grinder next to the chuck. Because I wanted to use high speed router bits.
Like it thanks Izzy
Really good ideas and good work
i made awooden drill press table with an adjustable fence , a piece is cut out of back edge to fit around the post. that one would go back to the post but couldnt put on a larger wooden table for bigger pieces .
Hey Izzy, you’ve got a great mind and wow what skills! Cheers to you.
Now that looks like a terrific fence Izzy! Gotta check that one out for sure. Hope that you are doing well & staying safe........ 👍👍😉😉
That is one sweet fence. I used those magnets on my bandsaw resaw jig and they are solid.
great dust collection idea, it helps sell the fence, Only wish it came with two stop blocks
Fantastic review, Izzy! Really well done! 😃
I loved the dust collection system you made there! Really nice! 😃
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Awesome content
I'm making an arrow stand tomorrow and that's 100 holes that I have to drill. I have a melamine fence that I built but this would actually make it fun.
i like it i just put in my preorder
I've been thinking about making a drill press fence recently. But, this is perfect and better (using the mag switches). Thanks for the discount code!
OK. That's cool.
Good video as usual, thanks! Also good to see you kicking butt a little harder every video!
Thank you I feel so lucky to be up and around
Hi where did you get that cnc wood cutter i have seen in your vids?
It would make a nice bandsaw fence, I would think.
You seem to be getting around really well. AWESOME! Thanks for sharing this fence. While they're not cheap, they cost less than I expected considering they include three mag switches.
Great video as always And you look fantastic!
Hey Izzy thanks for sharing your adventures!! Regards Bob Lee 🤗🤗🤗🤗
What size MagSwitch did you use for your dust collection jig? I've been eyeing the magswitches but can decide how big I would need for simple holding power like this.
Dude you have one of my favorite channels on this CZcams stuff. Great to see you active and healthy looking. Keep up the good work man.
Good on you cobber, love your work. Dazza from down under.
does it work on the round table presses?
That is a great idea, nice, simple and functional. Very cool. It does lack something for tear out, like you get with a table and insert but that can be easily made. Definitely have me thinking about this. I was debating about building or buying on of the cheap wen drill press tables. Now I am not so sure. 👍🏼 As always, thank you for the video.
I love the idea and execution I have a large Dayton drill press with tee slot table so this would work well with it. I also created an extension table for it 4' long 8" wide out of steel reinforced with angle iron. I needed to support something heavy for a job about two years back.
My discussion is how much it will cost me to ship to Maui That might eat up all of the discount.
Great to see you well Izzy. Nice simple fence. Unfortunately I have a feeling my drill press table is an aluminum alloy.
A great idea & I would hate to do without my press
Hey Izzy! Know what I hate about drill presses? The location of the table height adjustment mechanism! When they improved the drill press to the one you have there, why didn't they run the release screw out to the front of the table where it would be convenient?! Maybe you could come up with a nice modification for us!
Looking good Izzy. Don't you hate the tongue twister days. Just shows people your still human... lol. Stay safe and keep up the great videos.
Hi izzy. I was wondering if the voyager drill press has an adjustable height. I am very short, sitting down to be exact. I have always wanted a variable speed drill press and one with no internal belt adjustments looks like it may be the ticket. Great channel.
With regards to using the drill press for things other than drilling: Be careful about using a drill for anything that puts lateral forces (sideways pressure) on the chuck. Drills are only designed to take forces directly into the chuck. Anything (like a sander) that puts lateral forces on the chuck can prematurely wear out the chuck, the bearings, and the motor shaft.
Everything else in the video was awesome and I love that fence system!
very nive video
Can you post a link to that flap wheel please??? Andy's drill fence is designed for the drill press, but it can do double duty on your band saw. It can even do triple duty on the table saw for some of those funky cuts and jigs you have shown us in the past. Great video as always Izzy!!!!
I just bought this and the fence slides. My table is clean. Is this typical? I’m returning what I bought and am unsure if I should get a replacement or move on. Otherwise very well built and solid. Any thoughts?
I ordered one from Andrew's channel!
I have that exact t-shirt and it's probably about the same size too! 😂
'ya hear Hooves think think horses not zebras' is not something a man who can turn a drill press into a jig saw would say lol
Love 😘❤️
Izzy I want to begin by saying you are a Master woodworker, my question to you is what brand of fostener bits do you use and thank you for your videos very Helpful
Looks good if your DP has a big table and you also do metal work, but for the strict budget woodworker with a small DP table, going with a cheaper wood option is probably just as good and cheaper.
Izzy I have some mag lock stuff love it ! Just Curious you haven’t said much about your clearvue cyclone ? And maybe 🤔 their was a reason I was kinda hoping for a review ?
I love my clear views have some videos coming out in it in January
What kind for flap wheel is that? Where did u get it
Klingspor woodworking shop
Could this be configured for a band saw fence? It may not be perpendicular to the table but with a hole through each magnet on the back, an adjustment screw could be added to ensure it's perpendicular to the table. Just a thought.
It's funny that you said drilling holes with a drill press is the boring part. Get it, boring. That looks like a sweet fence, very versitile!
Great idea! Just bought one. Thanks for exposing the creator.
Thanks for the video. Most people love the features including push buttons, sounds and the other bling bling. However, there are other very important factors to note. For example, testing for perpendicularity and runout - how straight left to right, and back to front are the holes etc - especially for longer holes. Can this be adjusted - especially front to back........or, out-of-the-box, are you stuck with whatever incorrect angle the column is? Many drill press manufactures talk the talk, but do not control these important factors well (which can be the bane of all woodworkers). Can you imagine spending so much money on a Nova to find out it drills vertically only as well or as badly as a $300-$500 drill press???
Who thought a stop block could do so much!!
Sweet fence. I so want one but unfortunately out of my price range 😕 😫 😪
How do you think it would work on a round table?
I think it would work just move the lock mags closer to the center of the fence
As much as I like the fence, I like the dust collection better.
Will this system also work on my bandsaw?
It could for sure
I've got an improvement for that, or use in combination A drill press vice you can mag lock to the table.
Ever try and drill a hole in steel bar or an odd shape that rocks and or rolls a vice is handy but bolting it to the table is a pain in the ass. this goes beyond hobby shop it works in a machine shop for a mill too.
Where’s the link?
Not sure if you mentioned it, but what is difference between the drill press and the pro? Also, available anywhere other than his site? Only asking so I can use PayPal in some sites. Thanks and I enjoy your videos.
Does it work on a tablesaw?
Eu goste muito só falto u a tradução para português ,nem todo mundo entende o inglês
Anybody have the same issue i did with the 12" harbor freight drill press? Wobbly chuck is my problem. It stops wobbling when it hits material, but before that its about 1/8" off center. Any easy fix?
I got it for $20 cause I liked the vice that was on it....I knew it wobbled coming in.
No but my table saw came from there and the saw blade wasn't true when i first got it. Had to bend the arm that hold the blade but its good now
I have an Incra drill press table. It does everything I need out of a drill press. Now if I had a Powermatic drill press with the large table it might be useful.
Having 1 arm, my top 3 tools are Router, Router, Drill press. Lol.
I'd love a table saw, but 1 arm/leg means NO table saw (and SawStop is wayyyy to costly for me.).
I almost got this fence, then i remembered I don't own a drill press. Or a band saw.. or have room for either. But I do have a table saw that came with my house. I guess two out of three ain't bad.
What did you say were the 3 main tools?
table saw, band saw drill press?
Just buy a radial arm saw. seriously you get 3 or 4 machines in one like a shopsmith
Btw I love these Nova drill presses they are truly worth the money IMO.
Would it work for a bandsaw fence, or not enough holding power?
I am not sure it s pretty strong holding power
I bought one after seeing Andy’s video. I plan to use it on the drill press and bandsaw. Both of mine are bench top models so the bandsaw fence is rather lame. This will be a great replacement. Izzy, thanks for the dust collection idea. I will be using it!
Qa
Very nice, but very expensive relative to other options
😊👍
I don’t have room for a table saw 😞. I do have a bandsaw tho 😃
The BORING side??? I got that reference.
AWESOME! HAHAH
5:41 is YUGE! Drill presses generate a LOT of chips and dust.
