  • How to make a simple and useful drill press table with fence that will help us to do precise hole drilling and to avoid tear out. With just a piece of plywood, a piece of marquetry, and some strips, this is an easy to make drill press table that will be very handy in a small woodworking shop. And the super easy to make drill press fence is just a wooden strip with one screw, but it works perfect to drill perfect holes with precision. There is no need to use any t-track to guide the swiveling fence of this drill press table.

Genius dude! The swivelling fence and usage of the existing slots in the metal table. No fancy T-tracks or other complex adjustment mechanism required. Of all the drill press tables on YT, I'm building this one!

Sergio, I love watching your videos. For me the best thing is you tell us what you are thinking not just what you are doing. " it is quite easy...", "I want to...", " To avoid holes , I use..." etc. It just makes your videos so much more informative. Thank you for all the great videos.

There are many drill press table videos on youtube, but this one is the most direct and simple. Does not require extra fancy tools or jigs. Only thing I'd add would be some kind of hold-down mechanism because sometimes the work piece could try to spin on you while drilling. To the commenter below ... he's referring to a marquetry piece, which is a veneer-type sheet. Hardboard would be a viable alternative for the insert.

Great idea! I've made one for myself today but because I don't have a router, I used two pieces of plywood on top of each other. I sawed the top piece in three parts at a 45 degree angle to get a removable insert that is held in place by the angled parts on the sides. I had my doubts about the swinging guard bar but it really works better than a fixed one. Thanks for putting me in the right direction.
