- How to make a simple and useful drill press table with fence that will help us to do precise hole drilling and to avoid tear out. With just a piece of plywood, a piece of marquetry, and some strips, this is an easy to make drill press table that will be very handy in a small woodworking shop. And the super easy to make drill press fence is just a wooden strip with one screw, but it works perfect to drill perfect holes with precision. There is no need to use any t-track to guide the swiveling fence of this drill press table.

Genius dude! The swivelling fence and usage of the existing slots in the metal table. No fancy T-tracks or other complex adjustment mechanism required. Of all the drill press tables on YT, I'm building this one!
Sergio, I love watching your videos. For me the best thing is you tell us what you are thinking not just what you are doing. " it is quite easy...", "I want to...", " To avoid holes , I use..." etc. It just makes your videos so much more informative. Thank you for all the great videos.
Exactly. Thanks Sergio!
I'm still a beginner wood worker ( 3 years ) building mostly end tables and coffee tables for family and friends. I Just( 2-8-22) found Sergio's channel and am so glad I did.
There are many drill press table videos on youtube, but this one is the most direct and simple. Does not require extra fancy tools or jigs. Only thing I'd add would be some kind of hold-down mechanism because sometimes the work piece could try to spin on you while drilling. To the commenter below ... he's referring to a marquetry piece, which is a veneer-type sheet. Hardboard would be a viable alternative for the insert.
Top notch. Most impressed that you cut so straight with a jigsaw
I like your clean, simple drill press table. Job well done sir.
Very quick, simple and quite useful table.
absolutely brilliant so simple yet so obvious ,at 76 i could not understand how this escaped my mind .
thank you . tony.
Thanks for sharing. One of the simplest yet effective drill
press tables
That was great Sergio, it was just what I was looking for. Thank you for sharing.
cool I'll have to check it out, thx
Realmente me gusto, grafico, sin musica; la verdad buen video. Te felicito. Gracias William.
Excellent. I'll be making one later this week when my new table arrives. Thanks for the video
Excellent. Simple, and works well. Exactly what my new press needs. Thank you.
I like how you tweak the clamps.
Great tutorial, Sergio...Well explained !
Great, clear video. Thank you for taking the time to make this!
Thanks Sergio, made a temporary version for my press today, works really well. Love your videos they are really useful for people who cannot buy the top quality tools
TIP Top video.
Straight forward and none of the usual CZcams faff.!!!
A friend cleaned up an old Atlas drill press and gave it to me, so I have been researching various ways to use it. I really like your channel. It demonstrates using brains over a big budget. Thank you for making your approach available to the public. It is good stuff!
Wow. Simplicity at its best. I love it! Making one today!
I love that wall .Good job I'm going to make one for my drill press.
Love this idea. So simple, so useful!
Extremely well designed and useful. A real keeper. Thank you for sharing...
Great idea! I will certainly make one for myself. Thank you.
Thank u, ease but excellent! Like your english, dude!
Think this is the ultimate model for me finally!
Great video, so many good ideas here! Thank you!
Sergio Acuña Padin Inspirational! You make it seem easy to do amazing things with basic tools and a little ingenuity. Major tool designers could take note of some of these ideas and greatly improve their products. Genius. Sincerely.
Excellent video, just what I need.
Great idea! I've made one for myself today but because I don't have a router, I used two pieces of plywood on top of each other. I sawed the top piece in three parts at a 45 degree angle to get a removable insert that is held in place by the angled parts on the sides. I had my doubts about the swinging guard bar but it really works better than a fixed one. Thanks for putting me in the right direction.
Great video. Table is simple, yet effectively designed. Thanks for sharing.
I have been looking for something like this. thank you Sergio
Simple and great instructions! Thanks
Simple idea, very well and accurately presented.Thank you very much.

Thank you Sergio. Very well done description and video of how to make this table top for my drill press. I have started making it and am almost complete. Can't wait to finish. Looking forward to any new helpful ideas that you may have.
You make great videos Sergio Thankyou!
thank you! very useful 👍
Awesome.
I really like your presentations. They simplify things and are encouraging for beginners like myself. The modified clamps are really something else! Gracias por compartir todo con nosotros.
Sergio, Nice and easy and also very well explained for a beginner like me, great effort on your English too. Top man. Thank you.
I have made this works well THANK YOU
I enjoyed your video. It was very helpful. Thank you!
Simple and functional design. Well done!
I made a small drill press table, but I like yours better. Thanks again.👍🏼😉
it seems that i have the same drill press like you and i haven't made a table for it.but now i should make your table for my drill press.
I can say that that table helps a lot when I use the drill press 😀
Brilliant, by far the most simple instructions to follow. My drill press should be arriving tomorrow, so now I know my first job.
At first i was not sure a drill press table would be very useful, but it is indeed 😃
my wife got me a drill press for christmas. only one more week until i get to play with it.
i like this simple table idea and will likely fashion something like it as well.
paul k It’s incredible how much you use them once you have one. I’m really new to woodworking and I can cut a decent mortise with it, my tendons need some improvement though!
Very good. This is the one I will make. Thank you
You super .. thank you. Just good ,super to explain and you are allowed to get close .. it's so easy to follow .. thanks for it.
Very easy and simple but very practical and clever. Thxs
Very well done. Quick and simple.
Great, job Sergio.
Nice and clear explanation thanks for the great work
Very nice. Simpler than what I was going to do. Thank you.
Simple and nice !!!thanks for idea 1!
Awesome, as always. One of my favorite channels.
I'm thinking of doing it and you gave more ideas.
One thing i plan to do [i'll try to explain it in english] is to cut a half circle to make the plywood fit in the drill's column.
Was skeptical until I saw it. Yes, I do need one of these. Thank you.
When working with long pieces, like wooden strips, it is helpful to have a nice surface instead of the little metallic drill press table top :)
Good job! Thanks for doing this in English!!
Perfect. Making this soon.
Спасибо, отличная идея, тоже буду делать такой стол.
Thank you for your simple, but effective, drill table. Kudos to you my friend
Thank you very much John. This drill press table is very useful and easy to make
Very solid and simple design thank you 👍
Great ideas !!!
Nice work!
Thank you for sharing,
Class must do that. Great video thank u.
Keep up your easy solutions and the sharing of them. Thank you.
Muito bom. Meus parabéns vou fazer o meu assim também. Nossa seus vídeos são muito bons e tem me ajudado bastante. Deus o abençoe. I'm from Brazil
Very useful. Thank you.
A very good and practical drill press table build. Thank you for sharing 👍😎🇦🇺
Thank you. It is quite easy to make, and the swiveling fence makes things easier 😃
Your English is fantastic. It took me a while to understand what a "rooter" was, but then I realized the Europeans call a "route" a "root" and we Americans call it "rawt".
Thanks I am going to build one for my drill press
Well done Sergio
Great idea! I want to make one myself. Thanks!
Excellent Job Sergio I like the table.
