Willem Dafoe had entirely too much fun on the set of The Boondock Saints

This is what happens when Willem Dafoe plays Norman Stansfield.

Legend has it Willem Dafoe just showed up to set one day uninvited and started saying shit, and the director kept rolling

Willem Dafoe deserves to be The Joker at least one time. Even a voiceover role would be great.

Willem elevated this film from pretty good to cult classic.

The emphasis on “SSSSSSSSymbolism” always kills me

Dafoe reading the script: "What? I have a drag scene? How much do I have to pay YOU to be in this!?"

There are a few actors I perceive as being fearless. No fucks given how silly they might look, or if anyone likes how they approach a role. It's a joy to see an actor this good just go balls to the wall in a gonzo role. Dafoe always seems willing to go all in for a performance. There are others... Gary Oldman, Alan Rickman, Nick Cage on a good day.... but as good as Defoe is, I am actually surprised Hollywood doesn't use him more than they do. Seems to me, if you cast this dude, you are half way home to a good movie.

The fact that Willem DaFoe was opposite and actual comedian yet still was the funniest character in the movie speaks volumes.

Well, when your director can’t direct, you have to entertain yourself.

The fact he hasn't once played the Joker is criminal.

They never should have tainted this movies legacy with a sequel. Movie was iconic in so many ways.

"there was a fire-fight" probably one of my favorite lines. I use it whenever I'm describing a video game I was playing.

Dafoe was the glue that held the first movie together into the classic it is. The lack of Dafoe in the sequel was sorely missed. Yes he appears at the very end, but that was too little too late.
