It may be a bit pricey, but the ZF 8hp out of newer BMW’s could be a potential candidate. SLG House of Speed has adaptor plates for N54’s. I’ve been very interested to see it applied to an n52. Either way, good luck and awesome content.🤙🏼
That would definitely be the best option performance wise. The F series that came with an N52 actually got a ZF8 from the factory, pretty cool but only for a short time. Thank you watching 🙂
Great job on the NA N54 conversion. I've done it myself and can safely say you really feel a real difference in the buttocks. My friends have since started calling me "zesty" and "fruity" which must be a good thing. Seems to be a food reference. Who doesn't love food?
if you n54 swap it, just get the maxxecu with the plug and play harness, go dedicated port injection, its cheaper to do all of this than it is to buy new index 12's.

Hey, there's zero benefit to changing injectors unless using E85 or boost which both require more flow. There won't be any gains and they still need to be adjusted through tuning to run correctly.
How many miles did it have when it blew and for how many miles you had it ? I'm considering getting one as a daily car, I saw a manual one but its at 124k miles, kinda afraid it blows on my hands.
Around 120k I believe. They don't just blow up though, I have had others run great through 230k. I installed used injectors on this one, and one was damaged and I drove home on it thinking it was a failed o2 sensor which damaged the rod. It still ran another several months with a bent rod until it finally blew up. I would not worry at all about a 124k mile N52 if it was maintained.
It did sound good! And my friend did a twin charge setup and then supercharger only setup on his drift n54. He went back to turbo though. I forget if he posted videos of it, his channel is Drive Harder
@@RaimundN52 a good content/series would be seeing how much hp can you max out an n54 (n/a) on and see if the reliability increases without the turbos by a significant amount and try dyno'ing N/a n54 numbers
Thank you for your comment. The manufacturer specified the brake rotors to have the inner vanes sweeping towards the back of the car, which is how I installed them.
Translation errors happen all the time, what I think may be most helpful for your understanding is every single fan of this type has vanes always sweeping against the direction of flow. This type of rotor fan is commonly called a "Squirrel Cage Fan". There are millions of squirrel cage fans all over the world in home furnaces, and in a multitude of electronic devices, computers, etc.... All of them have vanes angled against the rotation direction. This is just how airflow works. No need to argue about who is right and who is wrong. Do a little research and come to your own conclusions. Either way I don't think your brake rotors will overheat unless you are a track racer.@@RaimundN52

@zureai i bought mine (n52 08' 328i) with 180k miles for $2,900USD. Gotten about 10k miles out of it but it stranded me for the first time today.
