    • @Reploidx9
      @Reploidx9 Před 3 lety +7

      @@mediarare1014 Doubt you'd be able to because of stainless' ability to prevent oxidisation, which is what's needed in this process. You could pull it off with Aluminium as well as Titanium from doing a search, but Stainless Steel, or even Carbon Steel don't agree with the process and won't come out like above.

      I was working for an electrical contractor 15 years ago and I worked the service side. Every year around Halloween we would go into all the apartments we were responsible for servicing and replace the 9V batteries. At the end of it all we would series up the batteries. FYI the batteries start arcing through each other a little over 300 volts. The batteries will start to smoke when you close the circuit.

    Cool series! I just happen to be carrying my BHQ D2 CF Pilar today. I like that you kept it simple, but using etch (multi etch works best) and a power supply is a big step-up and isn't too expensive. Also, I find that having multiple points of contact with the part helps a lot... My favorite project so far is a Kizer Feist with blue scales and pink clip and back spacer

For higher voltage colors, also try and do both scales at the same time so they match, it never works QUITE the same twice

    It's just a good habit with every battery hookup, no matter the size or voltage, to hook up the positive first, then the negative. At this level not a big deal, but at higher amps it can make a difference in generating shorts. Just a good habit to apply to all battery hookups. Positive is the first one on and the last one off.
