“Halloween decorations.” Yeah, because every year I make sure to put my missing posters up in the middle of the woods
F*cking cops. It's got to be one of two reasons to elicit that response from alleged "law enforcement;" either fear or guilt. (I suppose it could as well be both.)
I've heard about this first story with the deep woods and the 'missing persons' posters, 😕it's chilling. I just hope this is not somebody's idea of a joke. For people can get 'goofy and 'strange even on CZcams, and social media platforms out there 😐😳. And that looked like 'somebody' frequented or lived 'on the lamb' and really wanted to be left tf alone 😳, or worse 😨.
yeah, what kind of weirdo doesn't go into the woods to put up random missing people posters. 🙄 i thought we as a society had agreed it was a completely normal hobby.
Thats actually someones backyard. There is a nice big house just over the hill. It was for a teenager Halloween party that was several years ago

Responding to an eviction notice by disassembling and moving your house is next-level sovereign citizenry.

Kinda makes all those assholes cops deal with look weak.
I respect that level. Most of the sovereign citizens I see are complete buffoons.

Animals can make downright creepy noises sometimes. I remember hearing what sounded like a crying child sometime between 1 and 3 in the morning. When I looked through my bedroom window it turned out to be a fox, creepy as hell all the same.
It was fox it sounded like it was someone trying to kill it with gun
I've heard great horned owl screeches at night on bike rides & THAT is an unnerving sound to hear out of nowhere.
I've sat out on my deck at night, and a fox came around but didn't notice me. However, when I called out to it and startled it, it looked at me and then shrieked quite loudly after. I knew foxes could make those sounds, but I never saw one do it and from so close before. It startled me by how loud it was. Another fox came up on the deck while I was out there one night, and it also didn't see me, but when I made my presence known, it got scared and ran away, but it didn't shriek.
Foxes are the cutest, little boogers that make the most soul chilling noises out of any animal in comparison to their appearance.
Look like dogs, act like cats, sounds like mutant dolphins. @@BigPuddin

If it was a bit darker out, that wire absolutely could have killed that guy. That's scary man
People that do stuff like that, should be subject to their own cruelty. Let's see whomever put the cable there, ride into it unknowingly. See how they like it.
Pure scumbags.
Probably the people who lived in the nearest house fed up with people dirt tracking on bikes making a racket, out of order though, end up losing your head.

That still begs the question: Who was the “mastermind” that put the cable there and why did they do it?
Facts
Those dirt bikers, who almost hit that cable. That same scenario decapitated a friend of mine almost 15 years ago here in Kentucky. Someone had put it up recently, and he was flying through the woods on his ATV. Was horrible ordeal for our community here in eastern Ky
That’s awful, man. I’m so sorry about that. People really suck
That looked like public land, but when I worked at Lowe's back in the early 2000s, a guy came in asking me to help him make stakes that he can bury to impale "kids that are riding their dirt bikes and 4 wheelers on my land." I said you want them to die for riding on your land? He looked surprised at the question. I said " I can't help you. Go ask someone else." He walked away pissed off and left through the lumber door. Fuckin sick people.
Wow. Super scary, illegal too.
people who put those types of traps up make me sick
It's literally loose ass string that I'm sure that they put themselves to go viral. Look at how easy it comes undone. I'm sure this stuff does happen for real, but not here. @6:40
The obvious coyote in spooky vids is always a nice comic relief break. This one takes the cake "sounds doggish, hyenaish" Sherlock was so close to cracking the case on this one lol. Sad to hear the pups scared or hurt by guns though.
To be fair, the coyote giggling is pretty dang creepy if you don't understand what they are. Same with the blood-curdling scream of a cougar, which sounds exactly like a woman screaming out bloody murder
That dude wasn't the brightest bulb, was he?
Coyotes sound obnoxious and are annoying.
Maybe the gunshot was a shot in the air to scare them off?

Yeah Susan Powell was a huge case
One of those missing posters said “Susan Powell.” They lived about a mile from me. The husband did it, and when the social worker brought the kids for a supervised visit he slammed the door and blew up the house with the kids in it. I could see the smoke from the fire. My conclusion is these are random posters someone put up to scare people. Look up Josh and Susan Powell. His dad was a creep, too
I remember hearing about that
That's one of the most disturbing & heartbreaking cases I've ever heard. Josh his dad & his other siblings were all involved. I can't even begin to imagine what those 2 precious baby boy's went through in their last moments. The fear confusion & pain their own put them through is heartbreaking. Plus Susan's body has never been found. Josh was cruel & a coward. He made sure to cause as much pain as he could for Susan's family & friend's. He didn't just take Susan away from them but their grand babies too. I've never hated someone I've never met before but I can tell you I hate Josh & his sick af dad. If there is a hell I hope they're burning in it & are Satan's bitches! I hope Susan & her boy's are together somewhere & are happy. RIP ❤❤❤

Hundreds and hundreds of miles of nothing but woodland
For people who live next to woods, it is shocking how many don't know what a coyote sounds like
Really though... I used to live by the woods and this was common. Even lived in a city across from the river valley and the coyotes would make the laughing noises every night around midnight.
Fr tho I don’t live in woods but I’ve seen enough to know what it is
I suspect the people recording only recently moved to the area and were not familiar at the time of recording, uploaded and then other people unfamiliar with it spread it. Its pretty funny watching people freak out when you know its just an animal.
Possibly someone shooting the coyote?
Exactly what I was going to say. It's a Coyote. I hear them all the time.
Cabin dude: even living in the middle of nowhere, people can't leave me alone!

The animal noise one in Canada is definitely a elk in distress or caribou
More likely it’s a noise of Canadian tax payer.
As a Canadian, I am proud to pay taxes in order to receive universal healthcare, parental benefits and child benefits.
@@waryaawariiri1812You're not very bright, are you?
I thought so as well.
The first person I knew to die was a kid (11) in my middle school who was scalped on a 4-wheeler (no cage) by a cable strung at just the right height for people on a well-used public trail in a park. They never found who put it up or why, though the first thing that comes to mind is both gruesome & really the most likely.
There’s a good chance that the weird “screaming” “howling” noises could be coming from coyotes. There’s lots of animals that can make human like distress noises. One night I woke up to what I thought was a baby crying outside. I went out to investigate and it turned out to be cat. Also the noises a severely injured elk can make are quite disturbing. Or idk, maybe it is some crazy person or monster in the woods
one of the scariest sounds i have ever heard in the woods at night is a panther. super creepy
It sounds like coyotes, and in Oregon I'm sure they have them there. We do in California, just 1 state away
Definitely coyotes. Heard this sound plenty of times. They mostly make these noises after a kill. First time I heard this noise personally I thought I was hearing the Blair witch. Freaked me out.
I litteraly thought I heard kids playing outside my house at like 11pm one time then remembered I live in the country and there just coyotes out in the field and tree lime . The gun shots in the video was probably someone trying to get rid of them
the one in canada sounds a lot like what people describe as a “skinwalker”. idk if i believe that myself but it’s something to consider
He’s brave standing in the middle of a lit area hearing strange noises and gun shots. I would’ve started running.
I thought it was strange that he didn't call the police right away.

I found a legitimate grave in the woods once. As in, a proper legal burial with a 2017 headstone. These people bought a parcel of land in the middle of the woods because grandpa loved the woods and wanted to be there forever. Other interesting things about the guy: he had a twin sister and they were born on Valentine'sday! I still visit. Cheers George, your family loves you so much.
One of these things that at first can be very creepy but turn out to be totally wholesome.

Where else killers dump their victims' body... but C0PS don't have the time but will spend hours staking out in the bushes to catch speeders... ROTFLMAO!!!...
Yep those were coyotes. They do that all the time where I live. They do sound like a mix of laughter and howling. The shooting was probs some bro trying to scare them off. Coyotes like eating pet cats and dogs.
Yeah I bet that dude gets a laugh every time he sees that video replayed.
@April D you guys eat coyotes? There's a multitude of reasons why you shouldn't do that, but regardless it's gross. They're scavengers. It's not like eating ungulates like deer and elk..
I remember the first night I heard them, we had just moved into the country and were spending the night on an air mattress. Hubby wanted to go check it out and I swear I held him by his neck lol
@April D I apologize I misunderstood what you meant. We too shoot coyotes on sight here in ohio. It sucks sometimes because they have bred with dogs to the point where a pack of coyotes may have a few that look just like a dirty mix breed dog. I love dogs and hate the sound any animal makes when they're hurt, but there is open season on coyotes for a reason. They're overpopulated and a nuisance animal.
Now as I do believe it most likely animals as well as I do agree the only part that im skeptical with is the last part befor or after the gun shot sounded very odd and off to me.

The dirt biking video actually happened to my boyfriend when he was younger (around 8yrs old). He was biking on a well known path and didn't see the cable until he was right on it. He had just enough time to throw his arm up, his arm was caught in the armpit and cut clean through aside from a patch of skin holding on at the back of the shoulder. The cable cut through his helmet and split his chin and lip too before he flipped backwards off the bike. The arm was able to be reattached thankfully, but he has very limited movement after years of physical therapy. He still has the helmet he was wearing when the accident happened, it has a deep gash in the chin guard where the cable smashed into it. He wouldn't be here today if not for that helmet and the fact he put his arm in the way. They never found out who strung the line up, but whoever did it almost killed an 8 year old boy.
This deserves more attention… that’s really fucked up. People are willing to maim others in the name of peace and quiet

Interestingly, one of the books on the shelf in the cabin is "Catch Me If You Can".
Also "Letters of a Woman Homesteader" never read the book but it's about a widow that use to clean clothes in Denver and took her shot at becoming a rancher and starting a new family. One could say it could symbolize turning a new leaf/starting anew?

8:00 this shed in the middle of the woods was actually built by drifters, who basically walk the entire US sometimes and live off the land basically. They’d sleep in tents in the woods and then continue their journey. There is a community of them and they even have nicknames for each other. In that community they’ll give the location of the shed for any drifters to sleep their or even stay their. The writing on the table are basically messages or names of the drifters. This is actually very common across the US.
Thank you for the super helpful insights!

While I'm willing to side with the people who say that the line used for that bike trail decap-trap was too loosely placed to actually kill someone, I wouldn't stake my life on it. Even if it doesn't take your head off, hitting something like that at 20 or 30 mph isn't going to be a fun time. Some people out there are real psychos.

Geez... even in the woods alone, some people have the nerve to say you have "illegaly construct a tiny house...". He doesn't hurt anyone, leave the poor guy alone !!
I know, no peace anywhere. Kind of sad really.
@Quetzalcoatl Technically, you could just go out somewhere and build a cabin in the woods, but you'd basically be butting heads with anyone in a thousand or so miles of your homestead who might actually own that land. You have to confirm first whether or not that land is actually owned by Private, State or Federal owners, and as the entirety of the land in the United States is owned _by_ the "United States" unless it's disseminated to a lesser group, such as a State or a private owner, it's the best way to go about it to avoid getting a literal eviction notice. I don't believe the U.S. has any actual "unclaimed land" anymore, but if you own it, you can build on it.
Edit: "Squatters Rights" actually exists in the U.S., but you have to have lived on the property for at least 7 years, as well as having maintained and "improved" the property (i.e. make it a livable zone whose conditions have upgraded beyond its original, natural state), at which point you'd have an argument for ownership. Whether it'd be a fair one or not would be up to the original owners to decide.
Or some serial killer, where nobody is going to hear you... crazy what happens in the world
@Quetzalcoatl because you're not paying taxes.
He was illegally trespassing and illegally squating on someone's land...
That laughing sound in the second video, definitely The Wheelers from Return to Oz.
I just went to listen to elk and moose noises and yeah, that one before the last in the snow definitely matched more the sounds of a moose. I looked it up cuz I was freaked out about how monstrous that sounded and uh, well, mooses can seem and sound like monsters sometimes, no joke
The cable across the path is attempted murder. The police need to be involved. And as far shack goes, maybe it's someone who just wants to be left alone. The sounds in Canada is just me playing with my pets. And the last one is why we have guns.
I agree with you about the strung cable that could seriously kill someone. The cabin in the woods could be very innocent. There are however many many people who go missing on hikes all throughout the country, and some missing persons could be the work of serial killers and/or other mischievous minds at work preying on people.

Yeah, those noises were Coyotes, they’re common in my area, bastards are scary as Hell in the middle of the night if you’re out in the dark alone.
At first I thought fox, but coyote sounds more likely. Not sure about the other vid though… moose maybe?
I used to go walking in the woods at night (to get to a friend's house) and I loved to hear the coyotes laughing and howling. Sometimes they were in the woods right next to me. Fast forward 20 years.. I heard coyotes laughing right outside my house last week and thought back to those days. I wouldn't even go outside with a pack of coyotes around now. Lol
So then the gunshots were probably a neighbor tired of hearing them and trying to scare them off most likely?
@@snowkracker Most likely.

@@thebeasters yep, and all that in just a few days.
That's the IMPRESSION he MOST LIKELY wanted to give anyone who would come across his cabin. There is probably more to his story than innocence looking cabin he built DEEP in the woods... lol...
The woman in the last one may have just been camping in a random location nearby. She looked to me like she was tripping on something, which would explain why she wanders around so randomly.
Agreed; her urban style of dress suggests that she's unfamiliar with a woodland environment, and to me she has what looks like a drunken gait. Still pretty creepy though.
One thing I must add is I've learned some people who go to the forests usually have no intentions of ever leaving it, yeah there's hikers or campers but there's also some who go to take their own lives or evade other people. To me she sort of looked as if she wanted help, going up to the home's door I think that was. Eventually walking away when she couldn't get it, but we truly won't ever know the outcome of the video.
Looks like she had been walking around for a while since the bottoms of her pants legs appear to be wet. And yes, she does seem to be under the influence of something.
I was thinking about a shapeshifter cuz she wasn’t walking normal at all… but trippin make more sense.
I was thinking the same thing just the way she turned a certain way was weird.

After researching the missing posters situation, it became apparent this was not some serial killer shrine hangout spot. Multiple cases from those posters have since been solved, and those responsible were various individuals such as husbands or random people who didn’t commit multiple crimes. So all the missing people on those posters didn’t relate to each other.
Second, the people who own the land claim to have had a previous “Halloween party” in August, and that they were leaving the “decorations” up until after their Halloween party in October. That would explain the worn tape and weathered appearance of the posters.
However, what kind of sick people have REAL posters of actual missing people at their party? Along with a bed, a handmade cage, a shovel and a recently covered hole in the ground? Maybe they weren’t responsible for the missing people on those posters, but that begs the question: what the hell were they really doing at their “party?” What was the pretense? Why such a creepy set up? They can’t not have nefarious reasoning going on there. That shit’s not normal.
Work one season at Spirit Halloween. A party set up like that is childs play for the dumb shit ppl have asked me for help with.
Yes, you could go buy real animal guts for cheaper. Yes, they will rot fast outside and attract animals. Yes, you will get the cops called on you.
A "Halloween party" in August is pretty weird. Sounds sketchy to me.
Thank heavens a whole 175 people agree... THAT'S NOT NORMAL!
Their "decorations" might have been taking it a bit too far. Even if multiple cases from those cases have been solved, it still feels disrespectful and messed up to me to do that sort of thing.
When I was a kid, I used to cut out pictures of local criminals and recently deceased people from the newspaper and tape them to my bedroom door. I stopped after my family made me take them down lol

The missing person signs are more than likely someone trying to be creepy knowing that someone would find it.
As someone who lives in rural Oregon and is surrounded by forest, nobody goes into the woods when strange sounds emanate from them. Probably the oddest in my own experience was when distant drumming could be heard at around 7am on a foggy winter morning. There's some weirdness around here.
What makes you stay?

Totally that! Last week I visited a friend that lives in a rural area and has a pretty large, forested property. I took a short hike through the woods. While I found it beautiful, tranquil as I enjoyed the autumn colors. I was also on the lookout for movement between trees and looking for Sasquatch tree breaks and unusual branch formations. The duality of freak out and calm is real! Lol Clearly, I’ve watched MANY, CZcams videos like this.
I've been scared of the forests at night ever since i heard about skinwalkers!
Finland is one big forest
The first clip with the gunshots reminded me of the movie “Chernobyl Diaries” when the gunshots went off unexpectedly at the beginning of the movie. Creepy
The very first one is suspicious af because the no trespassing signs are posted in a similar fashion to the other ones.....I'd say someone needs to find out who the owner of that property is....
Probably the same guy who filmed that video
"Police would later write it off as somebody's halloween decoration"
Holy shit, seriously?! The caller should've just said "somebody left a bunch of donuts in the woods, come quick!"
Turns out they were a bunch of real missing persons cases, some already solved (such as Tara Grinstead. Her killer was already caught). So there's a good chance it really was for a themed Halloween party in the woods.

the cable incident with the dirt bikers is very similar to something that happened to my cousin when he was a teenager. he was dirt biking through the paths in the woods on his own family's property, when he noticed a cable tied between two trees just like that. he swerved to avoid it and ended up essentially running his bike up a tree. he got scuffed up pretty badly, and up until then i had never once seen him cry, but he was bawling like a baby from the pain and the fear. my aunt and uncle still blame their neighbor, who always had it out for them and was constantly trying to encroach on their land, and sue them.
How is bro so chill in the laughter+gunshots
I recognized the noise in the second clip as coyotes, I'm extremely familiar with the noise as they are everywhere in WA. I literally go to sleep to that sometimes. It sounds almost identical to high-pitched laughter like a demon. The gunshots can be explained by Hunters probably looking for the coyotes.
That's what I thought instantly too. Spent alot of time in the woods. Most definitely coyotes, the hunters were probably just stoked to get one or two which is why they could be heard "wooing" or whatever after the gunshots.
I live in a small Michigan town so I'll sometimes go so sleep to both gunshots and the coyotes.
When I lived in Yelm, WA I used to listen to the mommy coyote bring food back for the babies, They would go NUTS. They literally lived RIGHT behind our house.

I thought that too, but it's weird because hunting in the middle of the night is almost never done right?
During some of my teen years, I lived near heavily wooded lands in which there were a few walking/bike paths. On one occasion, I was BMX bike racing with some friends on one of the longer, round-a-bout paths; this would enable us (race participants) to start and finish the race at the same point. Along with those of us actually racing on our bikes, several other kids were gathered at the start/finish line to witness who would win the race. The path was long, and deep enough into the woods so that the riders would be out of sight of the start/finish for most of the race. As the race commenced, I was able to gain the lead by the time we (racers) were making the return approach to the finish line. Unbeknownst to us racers, a few of the spectators thought it would be a fun idea to set up a breakaway victory tape across the finish-line for when we returned. I would be that victor, but the tape would not be of "breakaway" material, in fact, the tape was nearly invisible to me as I approached and crossed the finish-line. The tape caught me across the front of my neck as I was barreling through at my full speed. I was immediately yanked off of my bike and slammed onto the ground; a thick red imprint being left across my neck and the "victory tape" remaining in place across the path, which the rest of the riders were able to avoid after witnessing my disastrous encounter. The kids who put the tape up were very apologetic as they had not intended to injure anyone, they were merely trying to imitate finish-line tape breaks that they had seen in movies and on TV. All this being described, when I saw the video clip of the two motor cross riders coming across the metallic cable that had been maliciously strewn across the path that they were riding; being that they were on motorized bikes and it was a metal cable, I knew that if either one of those riders had hit the cable in the same manner I hit the "victory-tape," it is very likely their head may have very well come partially, if not completely, off.
That’s what I thought. It looks like someone had tried to decapitate them. That was freaky as hell.

My boss ended up talking with her and turned out she was a widow. Her husband had worked in management for a big construction company that was putting in condos somewhere in Mexico. In the evenings he’d ride his 4wheeler around in the washes to unwind. One night he doesn’t come back to where the family staying. She gets worried and gets some to go looking for him. Turns out a local wasn’t happy with folks riding in the wash and strung a piece of wire at neck level….. apparently it decapitated the guy. The cable video is something I’ve experienced before as well. Some people who are “anti atv” will string ropes and steel cable between trees at that height in an effort to seriously hurt off road enthusiasts because they don’t like that they “damage the woods” it’s fucked up but really common when weird city people move to woods.
That video gave me flashbacks to the story about some kids who snuck into a bobsled track one night after it was closed.
