A tip: if a car follows you, don't drive in the neighborhoods or back roads. Stay on the main road; it's your best alternative. more cars driving by, higher exposure to cops, and commercial cameras.
Last not least: don’t lead them to your HOME!
I'd be driving directly to the nearest police station at high speed. If someone calls the cops on you for speeding, they'll get there. If not, you'll get to the cops before they get to you.
They’ll likely wait for you to pull into a side road before trying anything too.
I'd be rolling through red lights, on the wrong side of the road, illegal u-turns... hopefully there would be unmarked cruisers or people would call to complain. With my luck the dude will take off at the last minute and I'll just get a bunch of tickets lol
Or if someone is following you, you could just go into a parking lot and go around in circles till the person following you leaves and moves on.
@@SaintPhoenixxlast time I got into an incident like that there was a couple trying to fight me & I sped to the police station to only receive a ticket for driving recklessly & no seatbelt. Never again. That cop was power tripping

11:40 that driver did a phenomenal job. I will learn from that to protect me and my family.
My federal agency had a course where we learned to get out of ambushes that way, and even got to eff up a whole bunch of surplused G-cars doing it. (I even got to take the course twice, because I got the training in one office right before I was transferred to another office, where I got the same training again, right after I arrived). We are talking about the electrician in the yellow suit. (PS. The reason people don't get electrocuted in cars is because the frame becomes energised and not the occupants, the tyres would offer some protection from electric shock because they are made of rubber but if the tyres are damaged or it's raining then the insulation properties of the tyres is negated) Google the Faraday effect if you're interested.

That first one seems like a setup. I’d be looking into the friend that asked him to meet her there… She might have been setting him up to get robbed. Just a possibility.
Right? Especially if he was meeting there because she specifically said it's not safe after dark like the video says. "Oh, I'm so sorry you got carjacked! I told you that the place wasn't safe."
If other drivers flash their lights at you, as at least 2 of these clips show, it means slow down and BE ON ALERT.
my mom always taught me that someone flashing their high beams at you means there’s a cop up ahead. but i know that not everyone was taught the same thing so i always slow down and pay extra attention if someone flashes their lights at me
See, I was always taught it means to check my own lights: whether my brights are blinding other drivers or if they aren't on at all.
At least here flashing means that either your lights are not turned on or there's something on the road. If your lights are on, then you'll have to slow down. Usually it's gonna be either moose or reindeer. Quite a few times that's been EXTREMELY helpful, especially when running into a pack of reindeer parked up in the middle of the road as they usually like to do lol
Could be problem with your lights (which you should be able to tell visually) or cops ahead watching for speeders or other reasons to be cautious and, at least temporarily, drive slow.
People who flash their headlights for other drivers are the true heroes
i love how that one driver just ran through them & their car @11:33

Dude, that driver in Chile did some Jason Bourne shit. It's funny imagining the thieves being like, "FUCK! HE TOOK OFF THE DOOR!!"
And the police could identify them quicker without a door too
Yeah in a situation like that, I’m making it fit
It'd be funny if the Chilean carjackers filed an insurance claim. "We were on our way to church when our car broke down. When my fellow worshippers and I tried to flag down a driver to stop and perhaps join us singing hymns and discuss our favourite bible verses while we waited for help, they just accelerated and took the door off".

While the reflex and the initial decision was very good, the choice to "return to the original lane asap" resulted in that crazy accident. What is a diplomat kid?
@@charismatic9467I guess his parents are diplomats of some country.
It's common sense, they can't enter your car when you are driving, reason they try to block you in order to get you to stop. People should be told to keep a distance, if he had been right on their bumper when they stopped, he can't drive past them and has to go in reverse first, also means they have less distance to cover before getting to your car.
@@charismatic9467like a politicians kid, a diplomat is often someone with diplomatic relations between countries politically speaking, so like a French diplomat, an English diplomat, an American diplomat etc, and they are like a political voice for their country and the middleman. 10:18 she was so lucky to not get hit by falling powerlines
Those are television cable lines. You can touch them in any way you want and they cannot electrocute you. The poles that didn't fall (on the right side of the road) were the real powerlines. Because the driver didn't know the difference between powerlines and cable lines it was still a safe idea to swerve out of the way.

If you've never been around a serious fire while in a car, the windows don't block the heat. Infrared passes right through the glass, so it may be quiet in the car and feel somehow insulated, but you're getting blasted by the heat from 100 ft away or more -- catches a lot of people off guard just how intense it gets.

One of my brothers friends had to do that after leaving our house. They forgot to setup their GPS and pulled into a side street to park and set it up, but she ended up pulling up right next to an active drug deal. She sped off but one of the cars pursed her, they were relentlessly, even chasing her through red lights. She called my brother and he had to help give her directions to the nearest police station. It worked, as they didn’t follow her in.
She was so shaken what happened that she sold her car the next week in fear it could be recognised and targeted in it.

People flashing their lights at night are usually trying to warn you of an animal on the road or close to the road. Slow down and get ready is a good idea.
It also means you forgot to turn off your brights.
Or they could be warning you of a speed trap also.
i always will flash other drivers if anything is in the road. i’m huge into animal protection and environmental protection. though i hunt and fish. it could be something as little as a turtle or as big as a moose in the road and i’ll be flashing. i also love cops, but i’ll flash if they’re there too.

If a car cuts you off and does something shady like that, call 911 ASAP. Don't wait until you are chased around town to call the cops. It will take time for them to arrive.
Also, the 300 was cutting him off, you have a dashcam, read the plate number OUT LOUD to yourself. When you playback the dashcam, you can get the plate number if you don't remember it. Note that dashcams are notoriously bad at seeing license plates at night.
When you are heading to a shady place known to be unsafe, have a plan, have the phone ready to call 911, and be ready for something to happen.
Stay strapped.
I know this is not easy in some places but how about not going to the sketchy place at all? If you won't go to a place without your firearm, you probably shouldn't go with it either😊

@@th1ssucksthen why have a firearm? You take it to keep yourself safe.
@@jayasmrmore3687 All I'm saying is if you CAN avoid sketchy places, you probably should. I know this is not always an option. If you ever have to use a firearm it will not be without consequences regardless of legal outcome. By the way this is not my advice, I am repeating it from various firearms training experts.
A friend and I were going to Santa Barbara, Ca and we were on the San Marcos pass back in the late 80s. A fire broke out and while driving we could see flames jumping from the right side of the road ( downhill ) to the left side of the road ( uphill ). It wasn't quite as bad as the fire in this video but it was still bad. We drove 80+ mph for about 15 miles trying not to get caught in the flames. When we finally reached the bottom of the hill we looked at the truck and noticed that the paint was bubbled/stripped from the right side of the vehicle and all the lights/turn lights, front, back and side, were bubbled/warped/melted. There was a local TV crew where we stopped and they interviewed us for the 6 pm news. I don't think we would have made it if we were 10 minutes later.
2 people tried to car jack my 350z while i was driving in Chicago but sadly for them i had my switch on me and they both got brained.
Julio got away but don't be Julio. Call 911 first, don't wait till you are being shot at or run off the road. Then get to the most populated place you can find. If you have to drive in circles till the police get there that's better than randomly taking streets and it will be easier for police to locate you. Have these scenarios preplanned in your mind and you will do it without making mistakes.
Excellent advice. Also, recite the plate number out loud to record it on your dashcam.

11:35 -1 CAR DOOR RIPBOZO
I’ll share the advice my dad gave me when I started driving:
No matter how mad/upset you are NEVER get out of your car.
You put yourself in a position where you have everything to lose and nothing to gain. Best case you get assault charges, worst you get a closed casket funeral. I mean imagine your car was your house. I’m hesitant to open the front door when I know I ordered pizza, let alone if someone was outside your house pissed at you
Great advice.
Only time you get out of your car on the road is if it is on fire, I see no other situation in which you should be doing that
Absolutely! Very well said!
@@jayasmrmore3687 Only one other I can think of. If you're on a highway with fair weather conditions and you have to pull over for whatever reason (breakdown or something) do not under any circumstances sit inside your car at the side of the road - this includes on a hard shoulder or a layby. Sitting in the car is you being a sitting duck for someone to careen right into you. I've seen examples of people losing control of their car while driving on a public highway and crashing straight into a parked car at the side of the road. I've seen one video which I believe was from Italy where a sports car travelling excessively high speeds loses control and flies straight into a car stopped in a service station. The occupants of the car - a mother and her children - were instantly destroyed. The husband was inside the service station shop at the time and lost everything. Even if it seems safe to do so, don't remain in your vehicle if you are stuck on a highway. In case of a severe weather event then use your judgement but always be prepared have extra clothing and some food in your car in case you do get stranded.
Edit found the video, was in Greece, search for “Speeding Porsche Kills Four After Crashing Into Parked Car With Mother And Child Inside” on google. Guy who lost control was called George Vakakis if that helps you find it. Video is also on CZcams
@@christophermcdougall8811 a sports car losing that much control can even smash through the building and kill you.
The fire looks like the gates of hell
Try living just like 20 miles away from it in the neighboring counties. I grew up down here and there are sadly worse fires than LNU. One was the Mendocino Complex Fire of 2018. Burned 460,000 acres and became (at the time) the biggest fire in California history. Sadly fires like this are becoming too common and have already been surpassed in their scale. You become accustomed and desensitized to it and learn to just live with it. The mental health aspects it leaves tho are great and the physical health aspects are obviously not great when you live near an area like this that goes up in smoke EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. You just learn to stay alert and defensive and have a bug out plan, an emergency bug out kit, and know your routes well....REALLY WELL! It will save your life. Kinda can't rely on others and frankly your time is up to prepare when the sheriff or fire service comes knocking at your door telling you to "Go Now!"
@@RedPaganNetworkya I lived in American canyon at teh time it was pretty scary the days of orange skies and no sun
The first video is in Albuquerque, NM! When he said lomas I was like that sounds familiar and the area also looks familiar.
The whole situation with that worker removing the live power line was freaky.
And the fact that it was never “publicly disclosed” as to the reason why is SUPER shady.
The city probably messed up super bad and didn’t want to admit it, or it’s possible that someone could’ve had it out for that worker and they were trying to get him electrocuted on purpose.
First story happened in my city near my work and can confirmed it’s definitely not a safe area, especially at night. You need to be extra cautious at all times. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard of people being randomly targeted out and being followed. Either car jackings or gang related
Yeah I noticed that area and that's on the outskirts of the warzone, not s good place at night sketchy af
@@hunterthegermanfor real. Definitely need to avoid the area at night
So what city??? Is it a secret?
@@bfranco1519
Albuquerque, New Mexico and not the safest at night for sure in that we call THE WAR ZONE. Crime in that area is crazy and can be really scary. I wouldn't live in that for my Life. Drive Thru there in daylight ok but never at night.
@@bfranco1519 Yeah the other guy is right Warzone isn't a great place at night, if you really want to know it's in the formally known international district near our military base

Sorry, but Id had floored it at that dude with the Machette.
My thought exactly, he would have gone under the car for sure.
I was thinking the same thing. Maybe do to the driver's window being open and the bad road conditions, he thought otherwise
The guy who blew the door off the carjackers car was quick thinking!
14:13 it’s almost like we are driving through hellfire
That man in the second clip has the fastest reaction speed ever
11:53 How difficult is it to find a car that has had the passenger door torn off?
right lmfao i’m a collision repair tech and you would not be able to close the door after that type of damage, let alone be able to easily hide it. the only reason cops can’t find the car is because they’re not actually looking for it.
The car was stolen kids, they would have abandoned it shortly after.
In those countries difficult. So many beat up cars. And it was stolen
@@misseselise3864well ya, since the door was torn off, I suspect you probably wouldn't be able to close it. 😂 Thank God we have a collision tech to provide expertise. 😂
14:26 I drove through this aftermath. For miles, everything was black. It looked like I was on another planet.
Christ....if the road looks like THAT, turn tf around!!!!
@@Mike-es2yg it was a month after the fire was over.
I was living in Napa at the time, i remeber the lighting storm that caused all of that, i was I think around 12 at the time. It was absolutely terrifying. There was days of absolutely no sun, where the sky was always orange. Absolutely terrifying.

The one that made my hand sweat the most, funnily enough, was the one with that electrical worker pulling down that power line. I’ve got some training on dealing with downed power lines and the stories I’ve heard are chilling. That’s the luckiest man I’ve ever seen that he wasn’t killed right on the spot, normally you can’t outrun electricity.

😳wow, that 2nd clip is exactly what happened to me! Unfortunately I didn’t see him early enough to swerve out of the way. He died at the scene & it took me a good year to get over it.

This is truely disturbing survival instincts when death stares u in the face
A similar carjacking scenario happened to me in West Oakland late night a few weeks back. I accidentally drove down a dead end street, there was a guy standing on the corner with a giant shopping cart, when I turned around at the dead end he had moved the giant shopping cart filled with so much crap it was blocking the intersection trying to force me to the right. I had a bad feeling and floored from the dead end up the block by the tiny space on the left hand side of the cart. Made eye contact with the guy waiting behind some cars at the intersection on the right hand side where he had expected me to go.
11:22 All I could think about was this guy listening to the final performance from Pitch Perfect 3
Beca Mitchell saved him that day
Yesssss 😂
Least we know he’s got good taste lol
All these footages are downright terrifying but the first one definitely takes the cake 😰😰 Albeit the guy was smart and quick-witted, it sends chills down my spine to think what would have happened if he didn't come across the cop car. The maniac wasn't giving up which makes it more frightening. I am glad all these people made it out safely. ♥

I live in Albuquerque and know just how dangerous that part of town is particularly at night.
Good thing it was on the street Central where cops are always patroling in that area because of the high crime rate there.
