I am so proud to be a German and to have someone like him as a countryman that has achieved the absolute top vs. arguably the best in Lewis Hamilton. Jean-Éric Vergne deserves a seat! He was really good on f1, he beated Ricciardo on 2012 and he was really close on him on 2013. Then, on 2014 he beated Kvyart. In Formula E he has won 2 world championships with style, with many amazing performances and maybe without always the best car!

    • @alextjb
      @alextjb Před 3 lety +13

      I have to agree with you, Vergne got a raw deal by not getting promoted to the Red Bull team.
      In hindsight obviously I think Red Bull made the right decision... Daniel has become one of the best drivers in F1 and unfortunately at that time Red Bull just had too many good drivers and not enough seats and Vergne was the odd man out.
      And since he was a Red Bull driver nobody else could give him a seat because back then Red Bull didn’t like to loan their drivers out to other teams.
      I think the first driver they let go on loan was Carlos Sainz to Reno... and I bet right now they wish they had that one back. Lol
      But Carlos and Max did not get along in Toro Rossi, and since Max was the chosen one in Helmut Marco’s mind they agreed to let Carlos drive for Renault.
      But yea... Vergne should have gotten a shot.
