Ferrari 288GTO
Because group B and soooo beautiful
My bucket list drive is Bugatti Chiron because of its' top speed or 2021 F1 cars because F1 cars' braking and cornering speed or Rimac Nevera because of its' acceleration. 🏎💨
The peel p50, here me out, this would get a lot of Views, seeing a formula 1 champion drive around Monaco in a tiny car.
Wow. Nico? My bucket list drive. Well, my friend, I guess you are driving one. The Ferrari F-40 and the GTO would my favorites. No explanations are necessary, right? Also, I would like to drive a 1967 Alfa Romeo Guilia Super. That was the car I grew up with but never got to drive.
For me it would have to be a Lamborghini countach as that is the poster I had on my bedroom wall
Non-F1 fans: "Man, this CZcamsr can really drive!"
😂😂😂
Drive To Survive fans lolol
😂😂😂
Hahaha
He would've been a great F1 driver
I'm glad you drove it like it was meant to be driven... It's a shame to see super cars never being slightly tested.
oloko, olha quem ta aqui
he drove it like he stole it !! 😁
Eduzinho, você aqui?😳
Limdoh
Look who is here lol 😁
Nico drives faster in reverse than me driving streight
I think it's admirable that Nico included the footage of him missing the red traffic light. Respect.♥️
Missing...(? 😅
He won many points of respect from me for being cool enough to do it. We all make mistakes.
Nico just set a world record for the longest ever drive in reverse of an F40.
without crashing I will add...
lol
@@highperformanceengines3902 or causing any issues to the engine or anything, so many classics don't even go in reverse for the risks they carry. Nick reverses the half the city lol without a doubt
That was the first time he has ever had to use reverse too.
LOL...
Great film Nico. Btw you can really drive. You should race in F1 or something.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nico can use of those intro ideas u guys do 👀😂😂
Hamilton who?
Do you think he could beat Hamilton? edit: fairly beat Hamilton
He’s pretty good but he’s no Nico Rosberg 😝
It’s cool that a former F1 champion still has that much passion for driving. He’s conquered the fastest race cars on earth and can buy anything he wants, but still wanted to drive his neighbor’s car!
I mean his neighbors car is a F40 and not a stock 2019 honda civic
@@fakeriwnl yes, but F40 are sometimes under 1 million offered - so its still relatively cheap to get the hands on one. Dont care about history; the car is built for abuse anyways.
Well, if your neighbor is Mika Hakkinen..... You can expect fast cars.
@@fakeriwnl xD
You think he gon` lose all of that after he retires or what?
It was Nicola Materazzi who created this car including the GTO. He projected this car alone from head to bottom unlike nowadays where around 40 engineers are needed to make a car. Enzo wanted him to keep working for Ferrari but Fiat replaced him with another engineer, he denied his new position as a secondary engineer and fired himself. The man is considered the best car engineer of all time, very humble and very sweet man. Rest in Peace now.
Nowadays 40 engineers are needed to make the rain sensor for your wiper.
"There's racing drivers and then there's world champions." Damn Nico, you go king!
Exactly, lets gooo 😀
Yes
Congrats Nico for being a F1 World Champ, Extreme E Champ and a successful CZcamsr with 1M subs!
First ever Extreme E Champ
In before Lewis fans come here saying"Undeserved"😂
I´m the same age as him, what have i accomplished so far:
1. Still 70k in dept for my house....
2. ....
I shouldn´t have started this.... 😩 😅
@@suvansh29 They hand championships out like sweets these days !! Nico's was much more deserved than Max's though for sure.
Triple crown
F40 is mine... it was 1993, i was 16, and my father was just stationed in Vicenza Italy from California and the first week we arrived my father drove by an F40 parked at a light store down the street from our house. I begged him to stop and let me get out and look, he made me ride my bicycle back. Although the older gentleman and I couldn't communicate verbally, he could tell how excited I was and even let me sit in the drivers seat... He gave me a memory I will have for the rest of my life. Very cool vid, glad you got to drive it.
cool story
Nico: “Can I have a go in your F40”
f40 owner: “ehm”
Nico: “I’ll drive it properly”
f40 owner: *throws keys* “here you go world champ”
nico: drives through the red light and breaks a mirror
Right before the backend breaks loose, lol.
And right after, the owner shrugs … when you can afford any of these beauties, it’s almost the same as tossing your 16 y/o the keys to your wife’s Toyota Camry. The one with 250k miles, lol.
Those cars need driving regularly and who better to exercise ALL the parts and pieces than Nico. That kid’s got talent for days and seemingly a humble heart to match.
Wonderful.
It's nice to have a bucket list. I haven't even got a bucket haha
and then there are multi time world champions........
@@carisi2k11 Schumacher?
Man I'm so glad you pushed it, I was scared it was going to be a chilled drive around Monaco but no. I'm pretty sure the cameraman needs new pants. Love it Nico!! What a beast
Indeed he needs!!! 😂
@@NicoRosberg Imagine the camera man would drive the F40 like this and you would sit on the passenger seat 😉👌
There are racing drivers, and than there are world champions… 🤣 Nico is so true and genuine, You have to respect that reality 🤣
@@SirJohnsonP he is so down to earth! Yet lives on the roof of the world!
Nico knows no chill in such a machine
There is a level of authenticity when it comes to driving older machines. Almost purely mechanical and makes you one with the car.
Big fan of yours Nico, keep up the good work.
Loved it. Man, are YOU living the dream, so happy for you! And you're so down to Earth too, that red light was funny, we've all been there. Looking forward to more videos with such push style driving. Be careful though, you never know what others will do.
I don’t know what’s crazier, having a neighbor with an F40 or a neighbor who’s a Formula 1 Champion.
Also, to even get a ride along in a F40 would be a dream come true. So to be more realistic my bucket list drive is a Honda NSX. Love the shape and interior design of that car so much and owning it’s smaller bro the MR2 I can only imagine how fun it must be to have a V6 in the back!
The crazier would be to live in there and have them both as a neighbors LOL
If he holds over that f40 for 20+years he could sell it for 10x the price just for the tagline that a formula1 wc drove the nuts out of the car.
A ride in an F40 ruins almost everything else. You can feel and hear everything happening. It's amazing.
@@apancher At this point I'd be willing to pay some serious bucks for a ride along man.. Sounds just too good!
@@lefunghi6151 my ride happened when I was 17 years old (I'll be 36 next week), and I still remember what shirt I was wearing that day. It really sticks with you!
Oh wow so this actually happened! The owner was probably home sweating the entire time you had this car 😂😂😂
I certainly would trust an F1 champ enough to think he knows what he's doing
@@xXAlmdudlerXx Of course but as you can see in the video, those roads seem pretty unforgiving... Although I like the fact that Nico didn't go full send around those turns.
isnt it mika hakkinens f40?
as long as he's not fighting for the world championship, it's fine
@@rex6661 wait a minute....
Nico--Only seen a few your videos since subscribing--absolutely LOVING your content, so far! Super authentic, actually feels Top Gear-esque!
The way he describes old cars having a lot of feel and connectivity to the road is exactly how I describe driving my 2000 Trans Am. I know it's not an F40, but it's still an old car with a lot of analog things happening in it. Very fun to drive older cars where you can feel the road
I'm impressed at the speed you managed to reverse an F40 uphill on a narrow road with very minimal visibility. Turns out you didn't need that rear view mirror after all lol
Nobody should use the rear view mirror to reverse, Nico just did what the school teaches you: turn your head back, and drive in reverse!
Definitely don’t use your rear view mirror to reverse you will crash eventually
He is a world champion after all xD
Awesome video Nico, congrats on 1M subs 🙌 -Mark Vins
Thank you, Mark! Next time I'll take you guys on a ride..😁
"Hi im coyote peterson we are on an adventure with speed!!"
What a pleasant surprise to see you here!!
Wow the legend likes F1 I guess
Coyote? No way 😂😂😂
This has been the longest time I enjoyed watching something on CZcams. I didn't know you had a channel here man.
It's a treat watching you push a supercar on regular roads. The list would be so low for me to trust someone to do that. And it's delightful to see one of your caliber to do it. Stay safe and healthy dude.
And thank you for your amazing commentary.. as some Car fans might wonder why/how a Formula 1 champion who's driven the ultra high's in Auto-technology might be so delighted to drive such a raw Beast as this F40... and you explain it so well.. the fascination so well.. and let us live the experience with you - Bravo Nico!
"There is a difference between race drivers and World Champion race drivers!"
You bet your ass, Nico, my friend, and you've earned the right to point that out forever.
10:42 the way he drives this magnificent car in reverse in that narrow space is absolutely ultra Professional . Not to forget to mention that it was his neighbours car which he borrowed promising to take care of the car without getting any scratch on it . Damn
Im happy to see Nico having success in CZcams. I was a little worried for him that he wouldn't be able to find another passion since he was still so young after winning the F1 WDC and retiring. Having to live life without a passion can be miserable, but it seems that he's found his new calling here on CZcams. I wish you nothing but success in 2022 and thank you for high quality, top notch produced videos.
Nico has been relentless from the beginning. He immediately began producing content that was not only extremely high quality, but containing subject matter he was genuinely passionate about, and successful personalities he personally was inspired by and hoped we could all learn from.
True entertainment, service, integrity, and value.
Merry Christmas to all and God bless!
You maybe not following him for as long as I do but he already was on youtube during his F1 career. Back then, he was the only driver on the grid doing vlogs on a regular basis and it was super interesting to get a glimpse of his life as an F1 driver. So this passion was there long before his retirement.
He also works for Sky F1 at some races.
Oh…he’ll be back to racing. Lol
I don't worry at all about Nico. A very intelligent and self aware driver, with a family. He seems very versatile and resourceful.
Great video Nico! Thanks for caring to share every little details with your fans. You're very down to earth, and congrats for driving that beast! My bucket list drive would be a Ferrari 812!
This is the kind of content I want to watch…from a world champion driver.
9:26 is my fav part 😂
Of course Nico immediately pushes the limits of a timeless classic that will be worth tens of millions in a few years😂...
7:20 onwards was absolutely INSANE... My heart was in my mouth the whole time!
Thank you so so much Nico's neighbour😘😘
Still worth 10s of millions today
Nico is the best, man....
@@NicotineRosberg no it’s not
Great to see that with everything you have achieved and are in a position to experience, you're still as giddy as I would be getting into an F40. :)
Ive spent thousands of hours around this car and had the privilege of looking at one of these along with a 288 gto every time I went into the garage for 25 years of my life. My old man still has both of them to this day. 1986 gto and 1991 f40 respectively.
Such a rare treat to see one of these driven like that. Super cool.
I was getting scared just waiting for the back end to snap out and be into the wall. Bumpy streets, turbo, etc. I did that myself in my Corvette. BTW, the F40 is my favorite road car of all time.
Every time there’s a video of one of these they thrash the pants out of them. Don’t know what you’ve been watching
@@discgolfdetails9889 i would not call f40 a "road car"
Please comment your Thank You Messages for my neighbour below…👇😁
thank you nico’s mystery neighbor!!
Thank you for this
Ty neighbour
Thank you Nico's neighbour :)
Thank you Nico`s neighbour for lending him this beauty❣
caro Nico sei un grandissimo campione e non sai quanto mi è dispiaciuto quando dopo aver vinto il mondiale hai lasciato la F1,
carissimi saluti.
My bucket list car will always be a Sport Quattro a red one. The 5 cylinder engine roaring trhough the woods at night even gave me nightmares one time. The raw unprocessed power, i think there is nothing like it. Classic cars, man, they are the best at feels
This car has been designed almost entirely by a legend of car engineering, Ing. Materazzi, and he deserves to be mentioned every time we talk about the F40. By the way, original design without “comforts” was even lighter.
Don't forget the drawings by the legend Brovarone, who only designed cars by hand, and Fioravanti.
Enzo had no executive decision in the making of this car.
lol 80% the car is the 308
You can tell by how quickly he pushed it he had been itching to drive this thing clearly a dream come to true for you Nico
What a car... Rosberg has driven some of the most advanced racing cars in thew world, yet here he is as excited as anything about driving an F40... can't see him being that way with many other road cars. Love his reversing skills too.
i love how you call it a brick. thats what i call my golf mk2 turbo. hearing that one of my all time favourite cars is also a brick makes me feel like i have something special. great channel Nico I'm really enjoying it!
Nico is so humbly down to earth he's definitely someone I can look up to and inspire to be. I laughed so hard when he missed the red light a true gentleman!
Or when he pulled the interior mirror off😂😂
My fav part!! 😂
I miss him at Mercedes, I'm happy for him though.
Hahah yes he is definitely down to earth but he also just speaks the truth! “There’s racing drivers and then there are world champions…” TRUTH!
I was out having a walk locally last year. Couldn't believe my eyes when a bright red McLaren F1 pulled up at the traffic lights in front of me. Turns out, it was the F1 that was commissioned for Michael Andretti as part of his deal to join McLaren. Couldn't believe how small it was compared to today's cars. To me, that would be the ultimate car to drive.
I would love to drive a GT40, A car that actually proved Americans could build a supercar.
It's Also equally impossible for me to drive both an F40 and a Gt40
@@Shepard_AU I mean... sure the materials were made by the brits. But all the testing and tuning that actually made a race car a race car are by the American or at the very least on American soil. So that's that.
Ciao Nico, complimenti per il tuo bellissimo video,mi hai fatto tornare indietro nel tempo, avevo 16 anni quando uscì questa vettura....grazie ancora,un caro saluto.
What separates the pleasure-lovers from the posers is: they are not only showing what great life they live, they are showing when they mess up as well. Nico, you are really a likeable guy, in my opinion you do it right, don‘t let others, especially all these jealous people and haters, bring you off your way!
The way he talks about the car has so much genuine passion and real technical insight, it's better than a lot of car journalist programmes. Nico would walk into the Top Gear job right now.
Even contemplating Top Gear would damage his personal brand
"There are racing drivers, and there are F1 World Champions"
WHAT A FLEX
My all time most favorite car, the F40. I work in the automotive design studio industry, I get to see and create some of the newest cars out there, most go to the auto shows, some hit the streets, some never see the light of day, and this car stands above all of them. The closest I’ve come to the F40, was when I was living in Maranello, and a group of F40 rich guys drive their F40s down from Holland and Switzerland, some event was going on that weekend in Maranello, and the group of them drove by my apartment while I was bbq’ing on my balcony. What a sound!!!!! That was in 2013
Nico, you're just a legend. Thanks for the amazing content!
Even after over 30 years i can't get enough of this design - masterpiece!
10:37 he drove that in reverse better than guy in front driving forward. That was truly epic to see 👏👏👍
I was dying because it was quite narrow there and it wasn't any silly car hahahaha
Omg!! My absolute favorite car all time!! Thx for showing.
Nico, nice to see you are one of us, just with a lot more skill.
“There is racing drivers and Wold Champions, thats a complete different thing” awesome.
True flex!

My dream car of the 80s being driven by a world class F1 driver, it doesnt get any better. Whats astonishing is Nicos genuine humility and Ferrari fan worship, he comes across as someone whos never owned high performance cars like this, although with his F1 wealth we know that isn't true 😉
The F40 owner now appreciates the fact that his ferrari was driven by a former F1 World Champion.
Win/Win situation here!
Good content
And we can enjoy that... So like Micheal said: "win/win/win"
F40 is from Mika Hakkinen so idk about being impressed 😏
Imagine just driving along monaco as a tourist, and run into nico rosberg going the wrong way in an f40. Would make quite the party conversation.
😲 thane you are not just a car collecter.. Bud a person with class for sport! And now what a real Ferrari lover needs!
I am with you 100% with the F40 drive on my bucket list... amazing
The F40 or the McLaren F1. They were both childhood dream cars. I remember when they both came out. The Ferrari for its beauty; the lines, the symmetry, the pedigree. The F1 because it was the world's first hypercar. A top speed of 231 mph was unheard of. The 201 mph of the F40 was crazy only seven years before. Either one would be absolutely amazing to drive. Them, or modern-era F1 car...
Wow!!!! Now this is badass. Absolute dream to be able to drive this!
it was just INCREDIBLE!!!

I was lucky enough to drive one of these about 8 years ago for about half an hour. My fav car in the whole world, the noise and rattling and vibrations inside the car was absolutely insane and the kick from the turbos just induced huge wheel spin even at 70 mph, what a car, loved every single second of it

So happy to trip upon this channel after not seeing Nico for so long. Loved watching him race. Thought it was cool how he left F1 when he did. Glad to see he is apparently happy and got to check this one off his bucket list. Enjoyed seeing how this car really is a bit of a tasmanian devil to control even for a World Champion. Merry Christmas!

Testarossa and the F40. i still remember the first time i saw the Testarossa in Italy, when i was 8 years old, it was like a dream. and the next day my parents took me to the kartingcircut in Milan, there was a Ferrari Testarossa. I was looking at it and then the owner walks up and let me sit in the car and show it to me, i will never forget this moment, for me as a young boy was a moment that was unbelievable.
