Utd won 13 from 20...no media comment about 1 team dominating. Liverpool dominated 70's and 80'2..media no problem with that. 4 of City's titles have gone down to last day FFS!!
Difference is with Man UTD Arsenal and Chelsea were never that far behind like the gap wasn't that Big and Man UTD didn't have 115 charges..
Did they have 115 charges?
That would require some kind of analytical thinking and context from the media. Whereas a 2 point gap with 6 games to go making the league over apparently makes sense.

And why do you think the Premier league has more money ? Supply and demand.
Inter are running away with the league bro where's the competition

FFP is stopping the league been more competitive 5 or 6 teams could challenge if they were allowed to spend .. i think they should allow teams to have different budgets based on where they finish in the league .. the winner has the lowest budget 2nd the 2nd lowest etc etc and try and create more parody throughout the league - only down side is some teams would play to lose but the fact City could win b2b treble and have the biggest budget next season... obviously as a Newcastle fan i hate FFP because now we could actually challenge.. they need to allow fringe clubs likes us and Villa to be able to kick on
I would have all teams earn the same in the top flight, more money thrown into the second tier and have slightly less for each tier. But this will never happen as the premier league was a breakaway league and they do not care about the competitiveness at all of other teams, it was a league built by 5 teams and 5 teams only and instead of Everton being there, Chelsea and man city have replaced them. Itâs a bit of a joke, but Iâm glad both of our clubs are doing well this season and last season
Do English people understand that only about 6-7 teams have ever won the top league. Since the epl started Man U, Man City, Liverpool (once) arsenal, Chelsea, Blackburn Leicester once. Class call from David. Knowledge fest.
All those things Simon says in defense of the Prem in terms of teams fighting for European slots and fight against relegation is also true of the other 4 major leagues⊠I love watching the Prem, I still think there are many things that make it compelling to watch throughout a season but the truth is the league is no longer a competitive one, since 2018/19 there have only been two teams with any real chance to win it, a 3rd team as joined that race for the last 2 seasons and for all that City have won it every year except the year Liverpool won it. The Bundesliga, Serie A and La Liga are all just as competitive at those rates.
Simon jordans knowledge of football doesn't extend beyond the borders of England
The Reality is Premiere League is not just hard. Its super competitive and no team plays to loose... City is now like Man.Utd then, BUT this City too will pass...

Sir Alex was out spent by plenty when he was manager and had a negative net spend from when the Glazers took over. Yes he would
David Moyes can be incredibly spiky with the journalists because he's scared that they will eventually see through his so-called defensive football and see him for what he is ... a one trick pony pub manager
Juventus dropped from dominance for a while now, it is Inter/Milan now, Napoli winning is cool, so Seria A doesn't have a problem, in my opinion.
Real Madrid and Barca share the league, sort of, lets not disrespect Atletico Madrid as well, 20/21 Champions btw
Bundesliga is a bit weird, but again, Leverkusen won
Top clubs winning league, who would've thought.
It really isnât cityâs fault if the others canât keep up. Especially last season and this season arsenal and Liverpool just let it slip
Inzhagi is a really good manager
Any league that has a team win in 4 in a row is evidently not the league Simon waffles about being so competitive
Is there a top flight league you can think of that the record for most league titles in a row is as few as 3 in a row, many other leagues especially across Europe have a history of winning 7-8-9-10-11-12 titles in a row, thatâs a lot bigger than 4 obviously.
The PL is being designed to appease the Top 6 clubs decision not to form a getaway league. The gulf between the 6 and the remainder will only widen further!
How does this make any sense from Jordan? He says to show him a league with as much jeopardy as the PL. He says that they've got a number of teams going for euro spots, a number of teams fighting relegation to the end etc. Many leagues have that. In fact, pretty much all leagues have that, every single season - it's just that they don't have the same jeopardy or stakes for him because they're not "his" league and he's got no investment in them đ
Let's see how the 115 charges of financial irregularities by MCFC plays out, that will test the PL's effectiveness
It's now called the Saudi premier league
Look at the other big leagues. Theyre all finished, Serie A, Ligue 1, Bundesliga & La Liga...all done and dusted. Even if Man City win again, it has still been the most competitive this year

I think the bundesliga is more competitive than what the trophies show, twice dortmund ran Bayern to the final game, including last season, and both Wolfsburg and Leipzig had close seasons, but because it ended with Bayern on top the whole season was written off. I think itâs the same in England, especially Liverpool came super close and we had fantastic seasons, only the final position came down to City. It doesnât devalue the leagues, but itâs frustrating especially for those who got close
It's competitive & entertaining, so no problem for the EPL...đ

Honestly speaking, no matter people are trying to shy away from this fact, the EPL brought this conversation upon itself, "Farmer's league".
It's evident that City cheated their way to the top, with 115 charges hanging over them since God knows how long, but the @premierleague still dilly dallying on the judgement, whereas clubs like Everton, Forest, Leicester etc get judged.
As a football fan, I found it ridiculous and laughable seeing people waxing lyrics about City, not as team which they've cheated to assemble, but as a football club.
Some things are fundamentally not wright with this City team and the FA seems complicit.

Farmer's league is when the majority of the teams and players are garbage it was never about one team winning the league. People completely distort the definition just because they can't accept the fact that the Prem has so many good teams

The Bundesliga is quite different bcoz Bayern does compete and win in Europe time and time again. And Leverkusen is also poised to win the Europa League. Different from what happens in France, Scotland, Portugal
EPL without money is farmers league. Teams like Luton, Burnley, Sheffield, Fulham, Brentford, very exciting indeed.
I like this Liverpool fan. Proper attitude for a supporter.
Italian league is more competitive
In the Premier League, at least the identity of the âhorsesâ competing for the title has varied a lot more compared to the other major European leagues.
Bayern had already won 13 more German / Bundesliga titles than anyone else, before their 11 in a row streak started.
Juve had already won 9 more Serie A titles than anyone else, before their 9 in a row sequence started. In-between 2001 and 2023, no-one outside the big 3 won the title.
In La Liga, Real and Barca will once again occupy the top 2 spots, having won more than two thirds of all historical titles between them. Atletico were the 3rd most successful team in La Liga history and the 4th biggest club in Spain (narrowly behind Valencia) before Simeone took charge. The fact that their 2 title wins were such âupsetsâ was a damning indictment of the league.
You're delusional because in the real world Bayern, Juve, Real and Barca were miles ahead of any English team. The top of the PL went on decline over a decade ago while the level internationally only went up. Your top teams were miles behind and could only fluke results and then Guardiola and Klopp outclassed the arrogant Premier league from within...
This is the problem. City will win the league and la liGA fan boys will call it a farmers league even tho we are having a closer title race yet again than 90% of leagues
What is this nonsense about City being dominant?
2012 was won on goal difference.
2014 by 2 points.
2018 by 19 points. That was a good one.
2019 by one point.
2020 Liverpool won by 18 points! Dominant?
2021 City by 12 points. Pretty good.
2022 by one point.
2023 by five points, after being eight points behind Arsenal late in the season.
Most of the time, City have won by a small margin. They have been pushed all the way. The difference between City and their rivals is, they never give up. They don't bottle it at the end of the season. They hold their nerve right to the end.
Last 10 years ligue 1 had 3 different winners and the PL 4! Hardly a massive difference!
