- You can fly on a South American airline from Madrid to Frankfurt? Yes! LATAM has a 5th freedom flight between Madrid and Frankfurt. Not only that, these flights are really cheap as well. For £25.70 one-way you get a complimentary snack as well as personal TV screens for this 2 hour flight. You get all perks of a long-haul flight on this short hop. All in all, a pretty impressive and good value offering from LATAM on this route and superior to what you would get on Iberia, Lufthansa or Air Europa.

Good video. I've used LATAM quite a bit within Latin America, mainly in Peru on the Lima - Trujillo and Lima - Cusco routes (the latter featuring a hair raising landing in the Andes - which are indeed located on the ends of the Wristes!). I also got to try out their long haul business class service on a domestic flight - Santiago de Chile to Easter Island (4.5 hours on a 787). Most recently, last month I redeemed some BA points and flew Rio de Janeiro - Buenos Aires with them ... the caveat being I was routed via Santiago! Hey, considering the often outrageous fares within Latin America I wasn't complaining about a freebie: I got to cross the Andes twice in one day and their Santiago lounge is pretty sweet. It's a pity they're leaving OneWorld.
