- This is a review of the Premium Economy food on Lufthansa LH773 from Bangkok to Frankfurt. On this flight there are two meal services, a dinner service after take-off and breakfast service prior to arrival. I also had the chance to go visit the new Thai Airways Royal Orchid Prestige Lounge which opened only recently.

I always find them way too salty on planes! And then I have the issue of being mildly allergic to almonds and walnuts....LOL

Based on the old TG lounges I really did not have high expectations or any expectations at all so it was a really pleasant surprise to see and experience this new lounge! It had everything you wanted from a home airport lounge. Ah well, at least we were able to catch up in Glasgow!

When you fly ex germany you will get the orange-mint juice as a welcome drink. On flights back to germany, it is usually the mango passionfruit juice :)

The lounge is awesome...I hope I get a chance to visit it again when this is all over and my Gold status hasn't run out. Glad you enjoyed me pretending to be a food critic..hahaha....I am making a total arse out of myself 😂

Hahahaha I was waiting for someone to pull me up on it! I wasn't going to do a report on this flight...and also....I was pretty drunk by then! So all the routine went out the window 😂
I wish Premium Economy passengers can also access Lounge free of cost just like Business and First class people.
If you want lounge access with Premium Economy class, you have to fly ANA! I think they are the only airline that offer that.

Indeed. I will fly with them when Thailand opens door for tourism. They do operate on Frankfurt Bangkok route, I suppose.

I enjoyed that product too! Being at the front, it is in the best part of the plane. Those seats are good and love that big bottled water they give out. Surprised you took the middle seat this time! LH food can be hit and miss. I remember I once had a dreadfully tasteless fried rice for breakfast. You should take it as a compliment that the crew told you off for helping yourself to alcohol....he probably thought you were underage....hahaha!! Oh, and I love my nuts to be either caramelized or warmed. 🤣
When there's no window, I don't really mind taking the middle seat. Only fair for Graham to get the aisle bearing in mind the countless times he has to squeeze into the middle seat.

That was a dessert spoon, not a tea spoon. As for the chicken in the curry being in large chunks, you had a knife, just cut it!
As for the dry smoked chicken from the salad, I'd have have put it in the curry sauce and chopped it up.
I like nuts, which is why I like watch watching your videos.......lol. :)
What is the difference between dessert and tea spoons???? LOL Yes you can cut the chicken but it is so awkward...there is just no space for the elbows when cutting stuff🤣
Definitely pretzels rather than nuts - unless I want anaphylaxis on a flight.

Mhm. Peanuts, almonds, walnuts, pistachios, you name it. Only nut I'm not allergic to are pecans.

Guessing the crew made an error leaving the bottle out, being from Glasgow, I would have taken the entire bottle to my seat.

Good! Stay home, stay safe! Love how you keep track of my outfits....got this pair in Japan last year. They rock! Never thought about taking the whole bottle.....I think I would have properly gotten a dressing down for that! LOL
I would like to recreate this myself but I want to know where to get the same if not close to the serving dishes they use. Any ideas?
Be fun if airlines had the 'traditional' option on all menus. Lufthansa could give you Bratwurst mit pommes (chips), saurkraut and gallons of Pilsner. I'd fly with them every week if they did !

All the times I've flown Business I have NEVER (yet), had an attractive stewardess warm my nuts.........mores the pity :)
The one airline that is really pushing local foods is Austrian Airlines and I love it! And yes, I'd totally have the bratwurst on a Lufthansa flight haha. Oooh....what about currywurst?
Eva Air PE is a lot better
