- Dirty Car Detail - Bird Poop, Muddy Arches and Twigs & Leafs Everywhere!
This VW T-Roc was in so I can test AutoGlym's new Reflow professional product. However, it was MUCH more dirtier than I expected and turned out to be a full day detail!

I can't stand the idea of bird poo being on my car for 1 hour, let alone leaving it on for up to 6 months!
If you follow me on Insta, you'll know that I've had bird poop on my car every day for 12 days, sometimes cleaning more than twice a day! Damn birds have made a nest in the gutter!
I'm the kinda person who cleans the garages courtesy car(it's not a main dealer), before taking it back. I say we need to see this car again 😂
🤣 No doubt it'll be back.
Love these type of vids👍 top work
Glad you like them!
Been there, done that 😂 can’t see a car going back dirty , nice work, good video
Haha, cheers 👍
This car hasn't even been out long lol. Can't believe it looks like that.
Just found your channel. Cool. Subscribed.
Also LOVE how it is recorded in a nice format that fits newer phone screen ratios these days. Nice one! More should do this.
😂
I would have bet my house on you doing the inside as well :) no way were you going to do the outside and just leave the interior filthy. Great job as always Mat
Haha, glad I'm so predictable 🤣
Always amazed with how much you can do. Wonderful show.
Thank you 👍
Hi Matt, love the videos....well informed and really useful. Looking for a bit of advice. In your opinion what’s the best compound for removing light scratches ? I’ve tried Menzerna heavy cut compound with a hard pad on a DA machine and have had several attempts at it. It is a lot better but can still see them . Was thinking of buying another compound to try but thought I’d message for some advice. Much appreciated.👍
I like the 3M range. The Scholl concepts range is also good... Have you taken paint thickness reading? Sometimes you have to find a happy medium and accept the fact you can't correct every defect.
Check this video out

A happy balance of machine polishing, and then using a filling hand polish to finish with.
Good to see autoglym trying to innovate
Indeed..... 👍
Hey there. Great video, do you have a link to the extension bar your using? Many thanks.
It was from www.in2detailing.co.uk/products/450mm-1-4-quick-connect-angled-extension-lance-to-fit-trigger-gun
That pool car reminds me of a company I worked for as a driver . I argued the toss its first impressions and if Im collecting someone from the airport or taking them to the station you dont wanna sit in a shitted up car , every company car on the front got washed by me during the week . Got me out of doing work and I was doing something I enjoyed plus much nicer to drive I felt being clean
Indeed, first impressions count 👍
Great video mate, did you use the same dilution for the pre rinse and the tyres? If so what dilution did you use? 👍🏼
Yes I did. 30:1
Nice editing Matt, skillfull stuff.
So, the heat packs didn't sort out the poo marking, how would you tackle it next?
Keep them coming.
They did reduce them tbh. Next I'd work my way through various polish & pad combos
Enjoyed this video 📹 👌
Glad you enjoyed it
Hi Mat,I couldn't leave my car like that for long, bird poo melts the paint, but it does look nice now though, great video to watch.
Indeed, but as I say, it's a pool car, so noone really cares 🤣
Is the green star diluted 30:1? I’ve been using it at 10:1. It’s not lasting long for me haha.also what interior cleaner did you use?
Yes, 30:1... I used G101 on the plastics (could use green star if you want) and AutoGlanz Mist to finish
I also use it 10:1 when a car is dirty and i want everything off. But it's cheap if you get 10L jugg.
Nice job
Thanks 👍
Fantastic rescue of a quality but neglected car. Glad its not only me who brush cleans the pedal rubbers. Is it an APC that you use on them?
It is indeed. G101 at a 10:1 dilution
Nice. I did look at these, but they look like mre flameless heating packs. Usually you can get then for about 1 quid each. I did half half a thought to try to remove some etching off my car bonnet and have a hot lunch at the same time🤪
Either that or use a hand warmer packet. These get up to a fair old heat as well, as the AG ones will probably crazy expensive
Tbh, I forgot to look how much these sell for. Being a professional line, I assume a buyer would ask their rep.
Nice job Mat. Damn birds! How long did it take to clean the tarmac after lol?!
Haha. Let the rain wash it away 🤣
What type of pressure washer do you use, great video

Detailing World thanks,, going to look into getting one.
Top work Matt hope your well mate nice turnout for a pool car 🚗💪🏻
Cheers fella 👍
Omg that upsets me to see such a neglected car there really is no excuse for it 😡
I suppose as a pool car, there is an excuse... I assume no-one wants to take responsibility of cleaning it or too busy to do so. Still, 10minutes in the local hand car wash would help 🤣
@@TheDetailingSpace Disrespectful to the owner. people that use this, please take turns to clean it and grow up
At my work, we have pool cars and we have a responsibility to clean it in our down time
Boiling kettle water to loosen dropping residue?
If the guy parks under trees full of pigeons maybe get a car cover
It's a company pool car.
That car was trashed! Nice job
Thanks 👍
looks like youve got a leaky tip there fella on your extension lance , that would drive me mad.
I know. I reported it after I got it. Don't use if much (in fact, only 2nd or 3rd time). Will see if I can strip it and seal it
Nice video 👍
These are the types of cars i get asked to do for £20!!! Hope your well mate and safe 🌈
haha... They don't want to do it themselves because they know it's a right mess and takes too long. Yes offer way less than minimum wage for someone else to do it because it's "only cleaning a car". 🤣
@@TheDetailingSpace
Correct!! The conversation go's silent when you ask them how much an hour they are on 🤣🤣🤣.
Oh indeed. And noone questions why a plumber/soarky/bricky charges £30-50 an hour or whatever, but if a detailer quotes that people think you're nuts.
@@TheDetailingSpace lazy people and cheap skates
Your like me start of doing one thing end up doing the whole lot guess that's what happens once you get started
Yup. Couldn't give it back with the interior like that really. Honestly only expected him to bring it from work. Rinse, wash the crap off and then test the reflow products. Was expecting the arches and interior to be like that 🤣
Me too I’m just the same. Lol
Was that cold water that you used.
Through the PW? Yes. I could run hot through it, but not often I do. Always hot in the buckets though.
@@TheDetailingSpace thanks mate
@@TheDetailingSpace no the packs that auto glym sent you sorry mate
Sorry, yes, cold water in the packs.
Sad to see someone neglect such a beautiful van 😔
👍
Lovely Jubbly, but that VW was xxx rated dirty thing, and to think it's only a year old, hard life.
Not sure what he does for work, but they have to do a bit of travelling. We live in Derbyshire, and he mentions they (not always him) have to visit some sites in Wales, down single track, muddy roads - hence all the mud in the arches.
Couldn't machine polishing make it better?
It can, but this wasn't a paid job, and start off as simply a chance to test the Reflow products.
What was the name of the wheel cleaner mate? That looks like amazing stuff. Great work, we have a TRoc and it is also black, when ever birds poo on it straight out with the car cleaning kit to do the whole car. Great work.
Koch Chemie Reactive 👍
Seems to me this new product is a bit of a faff on and a poor time constraint more so when you don't get a complete result. much rather stick to tried and tested methods. Nice review and video though. Keep them coming 👍
I think it has its place. Especially of old fragile paintwork, or expensive luxury cars. Can apply this and crack on with something else like interior cleaning, so saves time.
Time to get the Air Gun out and show them who's the BOSS!
🤣
You need a steamer
I have a steamer 👍
Do u rinse the detailing brush much when cleaning the awkward areas whilst snow foaming?
That car is a ocd nightmare 😐
A normal person.. Sponge n bucket, 30mins
Detailer... Hours n hours... Dam ocd 😄
Yes. So I'd do the front grilles, rinse. Front window and roof trim, rinse. Side windows, door handle, mirrors, rinse, rear lights, badges, under spoiler, rinse, then other side of the car.... When I say rinse, I mean splash it about is the bucket of rinse water I have ready for the wash stage/
@@TheDetailingSpace excellent. I did a job the other day machine polishing a scratch out my mates van.thats all he wanted done but I ended up doing a full clean and took out another 14 scratches, was like new
Ocd 🤦🏻♂️
Nice 👍
How the actual fuck do you let a car get like this? I’d hate to see the state of their house 🤢🤮
I think I woud just wash the bird crap off
Well that's one way. But then there's the chance of smearing it all over the paint, ruining your wash mitt, scratching the surrounding paint etc
Poor car. Even company cars need looking after.
Indeed 👍
Jesus why do y'all say neglected like its a child cause its not, all you have to say is not kept clean
🤣
