Now I wish I could make a quality C3PO helmet in under 5 min.. Great video showing off the techniques you used for the finishing. Great work and keep'em coming..
Surprisingly it didn't but a few days even waiting on paint to dry. The sanding had to be perfect and that's what obviously took the longest.
Love your work man!
Thank you! Any suggestions on what you'd like to see built next?
I actually liked the flat back for some reason
I might have to make a flat black one to display. I really liked it too!
Any tips on maintaining that glossy shine on metallic paint post-clear coat?
UNTESTED: but the best advice I can give right now is either keep a micro fiber cloth close at all times or apply an automotive clear coat which I'm about to try and I will report my findings!
What is the mixture you use at the beginning?
Bondo glazing and spot putty with a little acetone added to thin it enough to paint it on. Like 5 parts bobdo to 1 part acetone.
Where did you get the files?
