Yes it will automatically restart when humidity raises back. Also you can check it remotely from the mi home app. You can also automate it withing Xiaomi mi home environment.

@@TechTronic9000 Thank you so much. Indeed, I found the trick in one of the reviews and after I adjusted the region to mainland Chinese, it worked straight away. I'm so happy now. In fact, there are a few hidden functions that we do navigate via the mobile screen.
It still works great and gets a lot of usage as i generally get roughly 3-4 months of very highly humidity so it's used several hours / day for several months, each year since my initial review. It's important to regularly clean the rear mesh filter and one time I have tied to clean the fins a bit with some spay water. Otherwise it's also important no to turn it on/off very fast, i needs 5-10 minutes break so that the oil settles back into the compressor. Also don't use it right away when you get it as it might have been transported tilted so you should let it settle first for several hours. At 70-75% and 22-24°C it gets the tank of water full in a few hours, some times I empty the tank two times per day. When the temperature is colder the efficiency drops and will collect water harder.
Continuous makes it run regardless off the humidity level, you can select ranges such as 40-50-60%, with continuous it will no longer stop at a threshold.

If I set the target humidity to 50%, at which threshold does it switch on? I want to set the target to 50%, and then Switch OFF. I want to set the threshold to 60% to switch ON. In the app, the only automation options is for setting TIMES to switch ON and to switch OFF. The whole point of a smart dehumidifier is so that it can be controlled based upon the humidity, not the time!
Hello do you know why the Mi Home app report the indoor humidity at 30% when I know it's much more humid than that and the app has message saying "Fault of room temperature sensor"? Thanks.

What is continuous mode do? The machine already start itself anyway when reaching treshold?

Do you also have other xiaomi sensors? Some Xiaomi devices also have built in sensors such as the air purifier.

It should work with the Mi Home app, if it's not detected change your server country, try China and EU. One of them should work.
