As much as this seems like such an easy decision, I'm disappointed you didn't take their personalities or combat intellect into account. I doubt it'd give Vegeta the easy win at all, but Vegeta also does definitely have a fighting "style," so to say. In the Broly movie, he bested Broly in their very first hand-to-hand not by utilising any techniques or even going super saiyan, but rather by dodging for the first few blows, learning Broly's style, grounding him, landing one swift kick to the chin, sweeping his leg, and sending him flying. Vegeta's proven to be significantly smarter than Goku in combat, and his determination to "beat Kakarot" would surely play some part in their battle, even if Goku was truly fighting to win. Goku will always be stronger than Vegeta and mathematically determining the outcome would probably land Goku the win 9 times out of 10, but the reason an actual full fight between them intrigues me is because, most of the time, Vegeta really does embody an "elite" warrior in raw strength (as you outlined in your video), in determination (his feud with Goku), and in combat intelligence (as seen in the Broly movie). All that considered, the video was obviously great lmao. ✌

Vegeta also knows of most, if not all, of Goku's techniques (something Goku's previous opponents didn't have the advantage of knowing), so I just wonder how an actual battle between the two of them would play out. Goku beats Vegeta in terms of physical strength, but Vegeta beats Goku in terms of ki strength. Goku beats Vegeta in terms of techniques, but Vegeta beats Goku in terms of full analysis of his opponents (as of Super) which'd render any "surprise" techniques null. I genuinely don't believe Vegeta would win more than 40% of their fights, but I still wouldn't believe a hypothetical fight between the two would be a clear answer in any respect.

I would say Goku, all the fighters he’s fought... he’s learned some of their moves. All the teachers that he has had. How he impressively outsmarts opponents that are way stronger than him.
Goku is the main character and undoubtedly would win in a current match between the two. However, because of how Goku approaches each fight there is no way he would win "easily". For one, the instant transmission technique can only be used by locking on someone else's ki signature and not a location, and he cannot perform it while being too stressed. This is the reason given why he couldn't save Gohan, Goten, and Trunks while fleeing Kid Buu in Z. Even in fights to the death, Goku approaches each fight in an attempt to break through his own limits. Refining his martial arts and his body. Vegeta grew up in battle subjugating other planets, to deny this as training is kind of absurd. He approaches each fight as a means to crush his enemies pure and simple. It's like comparing a Superhero to Conan the Barbarian. Yes the Superhero would win but because of the way they operate Conan is always in the fight.
It literally runs out of stamina during the ToP. It 100% has drain and according to it being his equivalent of SSB KKx20 - it’s drain/strain should be the same.

goku can teleport (which is instant) behind vegeta and slice in half with distructo disc. goku can use god bind and slice him with destructo dic. goku can use solar flare and slice him with disctructo disc. Eachs of these methods are practically instant or I'd say a few seconds maybe and it doesn't even have to be destructo disc, he can just use a strong blast

Because Goku and Gohan did the rest of it out of the room of spirit and time, and it showed you didn't need any factor other than staying in SS for long periods of time. Vegeta could do that while grocery shopping and it would be about as effective.

The problem here is that Vegeta knows everything about Goku and his fighting style. He wont be caught off guard by the instant transmission and such. So we have to take that into consideration. He is pretty smart. i doubt it will be that easy just to say that Goku would win because of his situational techniques. This kind of thinking is too simplistic.

A bit late, but I would like to point out that The Instant Transmission just can't be countered in a normal way. Like with Hit's Time skip, Vegeta would need to outpower Goku and be really good at predicting where Goku would teleport to. Vegeta should be able to predict Goku's movements, but unfortunately, he can't outpower Goku enough for it to matter.
Ya know, I thought you would've examined their actual fighting skills and not just their Ki based techniques. I know that they aren't stated, but they do have real world martial arts roots in their fighting styles. Just off top of my head, if you watch more of their fights you can clearly see they have: Boxing, Karate, Kung Fu, Muay Thai, Taekwondo and Capoeria. And these are just examples in which both of them were relative or close in power in just the Goku vs Vegeta fight in the Buu saga. But that said, Goku probably can't even use God Bind with another attack though. Maybe for a long ranged grapple assault but that's it.

Goku has been shown to be a better martial artist and has a wider range of techniques that Vegeta can’t compete against. The god bind and destructo disk could easily be chained into a quick win, along with stuff like instant transmission and even the mafuba if you want to go all out. Compare this to Vegeta who has ki blasts and that’s about it. The final explosion was mentioned in this video so I’ll spare you from reading that if you already know about it. Goku has a more fluid fighting style and is a genuine martial artist, compared to Vegeta who is just a basic brawler with fighting experience and his own style

While everything you say takes quiiite a bit into account, I think it's downplaying Vegeta's battle smarts too much. There's a reason why they're rivals - and that's because they fill each other gaps when it comes to just about everything. Goku's also shown that he can be kind of cocky at times (Beerus flick), and there are plenty of ways for Vegeta to outright trick Goku into a disadvantageous situation (knocking him out in the Buu arc). So no, I don't think Goku is the overwhelming victor. Vegeta might be the underdog here, but I'm rooting for him on this one.
The reason why the god bind worked was because it was used on a much weaker opponent at the time. Brolys power was still rising as the battle was going and immediately after that Broly overpowered the technique. If it was used on vegeta all he would have to do is raise his power to equate to goku’s at the time the technique is used.
This situation is based on them having equal power (as stated in the video), so he would not be able to break through it. Broly broke through it because he massively out-powered the technique.

I think the issue here is the title intent vs the actual focus: You indented to ask and then prove who was the better MA, but then focused on energy attacks. I'm from the 70s and so I'm an 80's 90's man. Martial Arts to me is Shaolin. It's Karate Kid. The Last Electric Dragon and so on. It's Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris going toe to toe. It's Mortal Combat without using energy attacks or using mostly physical techniques without energy attacks. In Naruto and Shippudden, it's not who is the better martial artist regarding physical attacks, but who is the better Taijutsuist, Ginjutsuist, or Ninjutsuist which collectively makes the better Ninja. There's the rub. You focused on their arsenal and skill of delivering that arsenal. You didn't focus on each fighter's physical prowess, intellectual and physical acumen of martial arts, of executing those techniques. The only allowance in that fight is SS transformations and no energy attacks. Arsenal attacks that are ninja-like can be used, but not destructive kind because such techniques are a matter of play, deception and distance creation as well as finishing moves. So if Vegeta gets a few dozen strikes on Goku and nearly topples him, Goku suddenly vibrating so fast that not only does Vegeta go right through him, Goku disappears afterwards and fully physically counters will represent MA acumen. That would be a part of martial arts, however, when asking such a question, it all becomes about the techniques of carrying out blocks, kicks, punches, throws, re-directional positioning and countering. This is true martial arts. All physical. No weapons of any kind. No poisons. No tricks. Only physical, intellectual skill. That answer is then fielded better: The winner is Goku. Although Goku had to recalculate and adjust to Vegeta's intense physical pressure thus really catching Goku with some intense and incredible moves, both fights show just how sharp Goku really is in fighting someone like Vegeta who did some cunning moves on Goku, but just couldn't execute and got stomped every time. Goku is physically stronger, has become faster or equal over time, has greater endurance and stamina and plows through doubtful moments. Goku is always looking for a way to win. That doesn't change simply in a martial arts brawl. Goku beat Frieza for like 46 seconds straight under speeds we can't imagine. And like Vegeta had to realize, Goku overall is more gifted than himself across the board - even MA intelligence, both having his own weakness. Yeah. Goku has that fight. But we will surely know that he fought Vegeta.

God bind might not work on someone who's also at SSG as Vegeta would already be wreathed in god ki, so Goku putting more god ki on him might not do anything.
This isn't even a fair question, Goku is a WAY better fighter than Vegeta. Everything about Goku's style is the perfecting of technique and battle tactics. Vegeta just barrels in trying to win with overwhelming force which is why he's always quick to get reamed by superior fighters. Goku's battle analysis arguably has NO equal in all of Dragon Ball outside of the perhaps the angels.

You underestimate Vegeta's overall awareness and concentration during combat. With Goku having all these moves and techniques, but never once overcoming Vegeta in a fight except with strength (Kaioken in Saiyen Saga) tells a lot about Vegeta's concentration and awareness.

Forced Spirit Fission won't work on Goku since he's didn't absorb someone or something or fuse with them, Vegeta said he's not able to use Instant Transmisson again probably because he 's not inerested in mastering it and Hakai won't really do anything since we saw Goku survive it in base plus he also knows how to use Hakai so nothing really changes Goku still wins
My one note on this is that the analysis based on techniques and experience is pretty good, but I think it worth considering as well how their canon fights and spars actually went. Ignoring the points where they clearly had huge power differences like their first fight, once they settled into being true rivals story wise, after the Cell Saga, and hence can be considered more ore less on par with each other in base, their equal fights always seem to favor Vegeta slightly. At least to my perception, their SSJ2 fight was slightly in Vegeta's favor until Buu's emergence let him get in a cheap shot and the only other serious fight between the two (by proxy) is in Super with the Commeson which stole Vegeta's power and fighting ability, which had Goku on the back foot until its core was destroyed.

How does Goku have more experience when Vegeta is older and has been going from planet to planet for the majority of his life? I don't disagree with the final verdict, just little/big details that gotchu there. Also, it took all of Goku's focus to use the god-bind. Using that technique is only a stalemate.
Amount of experience and quality of experience are not the same. Sheer quantity will help of course, but quality will always win in the end. Plus Vegeta's mindset up until the start of the Namek saga would be a significant deterrent to a lot of good learning experiences he otherwise could have had with all his planet hopping. Meanwhile Goku not only has a very healthy growth mindset, he is also very lucky to have had the best teachers at every point in his training.
I definitely wouldn’t give Goku the easy win. Goku definitely does have the better arsenal but if Vegeta can easily outlast Goku. Think about it, it would be down to SSBE vs SSBKKx20. Vegeta would be a monster if he had goku’s training. Goku got roughly 208 times stronger from birth (power level of 2) to adulthood(power level 416) in the saiyan saga. If Vegeta had the same boost from birth (I calculated vegeta’s power level by taking the statement of Vegeta being stronger than his dad as a child along with using goku’s growth curve from arriving on earth. 12 years which is a child) he would had a power of at least 2000 (since goku got 5 times stronger from birth to the start of the series)at birth then roughly 416k (not including zenkai)at the time he was goku’s age. This doesn’t even include goku’s afterlife training if Vegeta had that and had similar growth his power would be in the billions bare minimum

One thing im not sure has been mentioned is the fact that both Goku and Vegeta are very well aware of eachothers fighting styles and techniques and I believe that also should play a big part in how the battle would go down they wouldnt fight eachother as they would other enemies who are nowhere near as familiar as they are and as most people have said already Vegeta is very skilled in the mental aspects of fighting and knowing Goku and the way he fights means he can also expliot weaknesses that others may not know about. This can also be said about Goku as well and was actually mentioned in Super when they did some training before the TOP in the time chamber Goku mentions that training with Vegeta showed him many of his weaknesses with his fighting style and vegeta admitted it (even if it was through his thoughts) that training with Goku has shown him his weaknesses as well. I believe Goku could win but it wouldnt be as cut and dry as it may seem by just looking at stats and techniques. It's as they say Knowledge is Power.

Not really, he agreed to end the fight to address Buu. Then hit Goku from behind, that’s not a defeat, the fight was already over. Besides neither fight had them as equals. Vegeta was over twice as strong as Goku during their first fight, even the. Goku beat his ass. Vegeta can’t go Great Ape anymore. But during their second fight Goku had SSJ3 meaning he was already superior and could’ve ended Vegeta’s whole career with one shot. He’s talking about them facing off with equal stats, and with that Goku has the advantage.

That was pretty good analysis of the two main Saiyans Goku and Vegeta. While it may have left out battle ingenuity as well as combat tactics, I would agree that Goku would take a good majority of the battle, though it will be very close bouts that only through exploiting Vegeta’s pride in a way that would be counter productive to Vegeta’s MO. As much as this seems like such an easy decision, I'm disappointed you didn't take their personalities or combat intellect into account. I doubt it'd give Vegeta the easy win at all, but Vegeta also does definitely have a fighting "style," so to say. In the Broly movie, he bested Broly in their very first hand-to-hand not by utilising any techniques or even going super saiyan, but rather by dodging for the first few blows, learning Broly's style, grounding him, landing one swift kick to the chin, sweeping his leg, and sending him flying. Vegeta's proven to be significantly smarter than Goku in combat, and his determination to "beat Kakarot" would surely play some part in their battle, even if Goku was truly fighting to win. Goku will always be stronger than Vegeta and mathematically determining the outcome would probably land Goku the win 9 times out of 10, but the reason an actual full fight between them intrigues me is because, most of the time, Vegeta really does embody an "elite" warrior in raw strength (as you outlined in your video), in determination (his feud with Goku), and in combat intelligence (as seen in the Broly movie).

Vegeta also knows of most, if not all, of Goku's techniques (something Goku's previous opponents didn't have the advantage of knowing), so I just wonder how an actual battle between the two of them would play out. Goku beats Vegeta in terms of physical strength, but Vegeta beats Goku in terms of ki strength. Goku beats Vegeta in terms of techniques, but Vegeta beats Goku in terms of full analysis of his opponents (as of Super) which'd render any "surprise" techniques null. I genuinely don't believe Vegeta would win more than 40% of their fights, but I still wouldn't believe a hypothetical fight between the two would be a clear answer in any respect.

Goku is the main character and undoubtedly would win in a current match between the two. However, because of how Goku approaches each fight there is no way he would win "easily". For one, the instant transmission technique can only be used by locking on someone else's ki signature and not a location, and he cannot perform it while being too stressed. This is the reason given why he couldn't save Gohan, Goten, and Trunks while fleeing Kid Buu in Z.
Even in fights to the death, Goku approaches each fight in an attempt to break through his own limits. Refining his martial arts and his body. Vegeta grew up in battle subjugating other planets, to deny this as training is kind of absurd. He approaches each fight as a means to crush his enemies pure and simple. It's like comparing a Superhero to Conan the Barbarian. Yes the Superhero would win but because of the way they operate Conan is always in the fight.

The Instant Transmission just can't be countered in a normal way. Like with Hit's Time skip, Vegeta would need to outpower Goku and be really good at predicting where Goku would teleport to. Vegeta should be able to predict Goku's movements, but unfortunately, he can't outpower Goku enough for it to matter.
Goku does not use God bind and Destructo disc that often. That won't change the output though but definitely make the battle more intense.

I know that they aren't stated, but they do have real world martial arts roots in their fighting styles. Just off top of my head, if you watch more of their fights you can clearly see they have: Boxing, Karate, Kung Fu, Muay Thai, Taekwondo and Capoeria.
And these are just examples in which both of them were relative or close in power in just the Goku vs Vegeta fight in the Buu saga.
But that said, Goku probably can't even use God Bind with another attack though. Maybe for a long ranged grapple assault but that's it.

Vegeta is a better technical fighter, making direct strikes using only arms and legs and is lacking in improvisatory skills but is better defensively, Goku fights more freely using his entire body and whatever opening presents itself (i.e. biting) which leaves him with more opening defensively

Goku has been shown to be a better martial artist and has a wider range of techniques that Vegeta can’t compete against. The god bind and destructo disk could easily be chained into a quick win, along with stuff like instant transmission and even the mafuba if you want to go all out. Compare this to Vegeta who has ki blasts and that’s about it. The final explosion was mentioned in this video so I’ll spare you from reading that if you already know about it.
Goku has a more fluid fighting style and is a genuine martial artist, compared to Vegeta who is just a basic brawler with fighting experience and his own style

While everything you say takes quiiite a bit into account, I think it's downplaying Vegeta's battle smarts too much. There's a reason why they're rivals - and that's because they fill each other gaps when it comes to just about everything. Goku's also shown that he can be kind of cocky at times (Beerus flick), and there are plenty of ways for Vegeta to outright trick Goku into a disadvantageous situation (knocking him out in the Buu arc). So no, I don't think Goku is the overwhelming victor. Vegeta might be the underdog here, but I'm rooting for him on this one.
The reason why the god bind worked was because it was used on a much weaker opponent at the time. Brolys power was still rising as the battle was going and immediately after that Broly overpowered the technique. If it was used on vegeta all he would have to do is raise his power to equate to goku’s at the time the technique is used.
This situation is based on them having equal power (as stated in the video), so he would not be able to break through it. Broly broke through it because he massively out-powered the technique.

I think the issue here is the title intent vs the actual focus:
You indented to ask and then prove who was the better MA, but then focused on energy attacks. I'm from the 70s and so I'm an 80's 90's man. Martial Arts to me is Shaolin. It's Karate Kid. The Last Electric Dragon and so on. It's Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris going toe to toe. It's Mortal Combat without using energy attacks or using mostly physical techniques without energy attacks.
In Naruto and Shippudden, it's not who is the better martial artist regarding physical attacks, but who is the better Taijutsuist, Ginjutsuist, or Ninjutsuist which collectively makes the better Ninja.
There's the rub. You focused on their arsenal and skill of delivering that arsenal. You didn't focus on each fighter's physical prowess, intellectual and physical acumen of martial arts, of executing those techniques.
The only allowance in that fight is SS transformations and no energy attacks. Arsenal attacks that are ninja-like can be used, but not destructive kind because such techniques are a matter of play, deception and distance creation as well as finishing moves.
So if Vegeta gets a few dozen strikes on Goku and nearly topples him, Goku suddenly vibrating so fast that not only does Vegeta go right through him, Goku disappears afterwards and fully physically counters will represent MA acumen.
That would be a part of martial arts, however, when asking such a question, it all becomes about the techniques of carrying out blocks, kicks, punches, throws, re-directional positioning and countering. This is true martial arts. All physical.
No weapons of any kind. No poisons. No tricks. Only physical, intellectual skill.
That answer is then fielded better:
The winner is Goku.
Although Goku had to recalculate and adjust to Vegeta's intense physical pressure thus really catching Goku with some intense and incredible moves, both fights show just how sharp Goku really is in fighting someone like Vegeta who did some cunning moves on Goku, but just couldn't execute and got stomped every time.
Goku is physically stronger, has become faster or equal over time, has greater endurance and stamina and plows through doubtful moments. Goku is always looking for a way to win. That doesn't change simply in a martial arts brawl.
Goku beat Frieza for like 46 seconds straight under speeds we can't imagine. And like Vegeta had to realize, Goku overall is more gifted than himself across the board - even MA intelligence, both having his own weakness.
Yeah. Goku has that fight. But we will surely know that he fought Vegeta.

Think about why that is--- the same analysis Whis gave Vegeta segued into Whis demonstrating to Goku that his confidence makes him vulnerable to being a bit too relaxed. Besides, the whole story proves Goku is a genius, gifted fighter. He learned the Kamehameha seeing it once, the same for the Kienzen, Solar Flare a d a number of other attack and defense techniques. The man even learned the Hakai Attack! Goku isn't as stupid as we think. I mean the man got Ultra Instinct! Why? This isn't even a fair question, Goku is a WAY better fighter than Vegeta. Everything about Goku's style is the perfecting of technique and battle tactics. Vegeta just barrels in trying to win with overwhelming force which is why he's always quick to get reamed by superior fighters. Goku's battle analysis arguably has NO equal in all of Dragon Ball outside of the perhaps the angels.

My one note on this is that the analysis based on techniques and experience is pretty good, but I think it worth considering as well how their canon fights and spars actually went. Ignoring the points where they clearly had huge power differences like their first fight, once they settled into being true rivals story wise, after the Cell Saga, and hence can be considered more ore less on par with each other in base, their equal fights always seem to favor Vegeta slightly. At least to my perception, their SSJ2 fight was slightly in Vegeta's favor until Buu's emergence let him get in a cheap shot and the only other serious fight between the two (by proxy) is in Super with the Commeson which stole Vegeta's power and fighting ability, which had Goku on the back foot until its core was destroyed.

How does Goku have more experience when Vegeta is older and has been going from planet to planet for the majority of his life? I don't disagree with the final verdict, just little/big details that gotchu there. Also, it took all of Goku's focus to use the god-bind. Using that technique is only a stalemate.

Amount of experience and quality of experience are not the same. Sheer quantity will help of course, but quality will always win in the end. Plus Vegeta's mindset up until the start of the Namek saga would be a significant deterrent to a lot of good learning experiences he otherwise could have had with all his planet hopping. Meanwhile Goku not only has a very healthy growth mindset, he is also very lucky to have had the best teachers at every point in his training.
I definitely wouldn’t give Goku the easy win. Goku definitely does have the better arsenal but if Vegeta can easily outlast Goku. Think about it, it would be down to SSBE vs SSBKKx20. Kaioken would screw Goku over and he’d run out of energy way quicker than Vegeta if he doesn’t manage to land a destructo disc and kill him.

Vegeta would be a monster if he had goku’s training. Goku got roughly 208 times stronger from birth (power level of 2) to adulthood(power level 416) in the saiyan saga. If Vegeta had the same boost from birth (I calculated vegeta’s power level by taking the statement of Vegeta being stronger than his dad as a child along with using goku’s growth curve from arriving on earth. 12 years which is a child) he would had a power of at least 2000 (since goku got 5 times stronger from birth to the start of the series)at birth then roughly 416k (not including zenkai)at the time he was goku’s age. This doesn’t even include goku’s afterlife training if Vegeta had that and had similar growth his power would be in the billions bare minimum

But during their second fight Goku had SSJ3 meaning he was already superior and could’ve ended Vegeta’s whole career with one shot.

That was pretty good analysis of the two main Saiyans Goku and Vegeta. While it may have left out battle ingenuity as well as combat tactics, I would agree that Goku would take a good majority of the battle, though it will be very close bouts that only through exploiting Vegeta’s pride in a way that would be counter productive to Vegeta’s MO.
