Bias is personal Tony but no one can see it in themselves, your mate might have it in spades. The BBC are regularly taken to task for being left-wing and then right-wing so maybe they have some balance?
@@roalddahl1623 The BBC as a whole organisation *might* well be balanced, but individual panel hosts, journalists and editorial staff can obviously be as biased as the next person - and it shows, sometimes.
I think, this is why Dimbleby decided to 'retire'. He was, obviously, asked to go nazi and he refused but bloody fiona bruce was ok with it. After her first episode, I realised what was going on and stopped watching.
The problem with the BBC is how that bias is stated; politically, socially and economically they show a centre right to far right bias in all programming which causes the left to criticise that bias, conversely some "light" entertainment programming shows a centre to centre left bias. Conflating these biases to show that they (the BBC) are unbiased because they get complaints from both sides of the spectrum, hides the real problem, political views are set by and for the establishment, "light" entertainment such as Lineker's comments being conflated with social, political and economic programming is the real issue. Impartiality should show that for every capitalist viewpoint, there is a socialist viewpoint, not a watered down liberal viewpoint. Capitalism is right wing, socialism is left wing, that is what would be impartial, on QT for example, there should be 3 capitalists (centre right to fascism) and 2 solicialists (social democrat to socialist) 1 week and vice versa the next. That would be unbiased political exposure, giving 5 spots to capitalist is biased as it does not represent the political spectrum.

I hate the fact that if I want a television in my house, I must fund the bbc, how I the world is that democratic I have a choice whether to fund any other media outlet but not the bbc so anti democratic. I actually don’t even know how that’s legal.
Emily Matlis (former BBC journalist) explained the BBC Impartiality process at a major TV conference. Apparently it took the BBC precisely 3 minutes to find an economist that thought Brexit was a bad idea (first call). They then carried on phoning other economists for a further 300 minutes to find one who thought Brexit was a good idea I.e. 100 to 1. They then put the two on TV to defend their positions but didn’t tell the viewers how difficult it was to find an economist who thought Brexit was a good idea. Pretty important information I think. This is the BBC definition of ‘impartiality’ but I would argue it’s the complete opposite of that. No wonder people were confused. So it’s no surprise then that the British public were split down the middle when it came to voting on Brexit as the BBC, the one supposedly ‘impartial’ broadcaster on our TV, gave viewers the impression that even the experts couldn’t agree on Brexit. Then of course there is the bias exposed in this video. Impartial my *&%#@.

The audience???? Is that a joke??? The audience is often full of liberal lefty woke Guardian readers which is often why I can’t bring myself to watch it. The most balanced thing about the programme is the panel , the least balanced is in the audience . So odd that the lefties can’t see their own kind all over the audience
Well that's bullshit
It's almost as if Tim Davie was a former Tory donor and current crony..........
My mate has been on it when they were trying different presenters.
The Bias was palpable he said.
Bruce 'won'
Where was the broadcast from?
Dulwich College-Farages (and Lord Haw Haw) school!
The truth has no bias, but bruce has it in spades.
I refuse to fund this sort of gaslighting. Cancelled license 5 years ago, not missed it since.
They invite more right wing than left on the panel. Not complicated. lol.
I think, this is why Dimbleby decided to 'retire'.
He was, obviously, asked to go nazi and he refused but bloody fiona bruce was ok with it.
After her first episode, I realised what was going on and stopped watching.
Same
Fiona Bruce might as well wear a T-Shirt with a BNP logo on it and a MAGA cap!
Party that hasn't elected anyone has a lot of support. The question is from whom? Apparently, from inside the BBC
9:05 She should have responded that actions speak louder than words, and their is a clear right-wing bias in the choices they make.
They may aswell be talking amongst themselves, as it would seem their own opinions are law.
QT last night had the wife of the CEO of Teesside airport on last night singing the praises of Houchen,
They will be under investigation, along with Houchen by the police after the local elections.
Really?
Farage's been on Question Time over 30 times!
All I can say is WHY ??
@@maryotoole7389 The BBC like the cut of his gib/lies....?🤔
‘We’ve got to be careful about how we apply our labels’ but they can call you an extremist for asking for fair pay.
These men can barley conceal their anger that this female
MP calls them out They are so rude and talk over her like Fiona Bruce does on question time with labour mps Labour needs to sack these Tory bigots when the attain.power
Lol
Maybe they should fess up to the bias in the Panorama, Labour anti semitism programme.
Fiona Bruce is totally tory
@wayne Wrong again wayne...you're making a habit of it....but does anyone care..anyway?😊
Fiona ‘Stanley Johnson only hit his wife once’ Bruce?
Wow ! Tim Davie is good at marking his own homework.
Reform is far right.
Having just heard 4 pieces of evidence that they are far-right (or even fascist) his response was just 'Nuh uh, I don't feel that'. Totally blind to his own bias.
@@segue2ant395Or he is well aware of the bias and is lying through his teeth.
@audrey So what are you moaning about. That means all the brexiteers will return to Labour!😀😀😀
Perhaps you can describe in great detail, to substantiate that, what is it about them that makes them militarist, expansionist, and in favour of tyrannical autocracy, a planned economy and ethnic cleansing and genocide? Perhaps you can pull a few excerpts in context from their manifesto as well to really hammer it home?
Correct
Tufton Street has a regular seat on that programme.
They pay a lot of money for it.
In the 1990s he was deputy chairman of the Hammersmith and Fulham Conservatives, standing unsuccessfully as a councillor in 1993 and 1994.
The real scandal is the ridiculous amount of money the Question Time producers spend on gammon.
She failed to take BBC to task. Very uncertive, almost apologetic in style of enquiry, no teeth no bite and they easily pushed her away. A missed opportunity
Not a clue, how much are these people paid by us. Too much I feel 😮
The BBC has no problem labelling overseas parties as 'far right' despite having significant support. Funny how when it's a British party, they suddenly get shy.
BBC stands for Bought By Conservatives
Very good! Yes anything mentioned about Labour and the BBC shuts it down.
I absolutely hate Question Time and have done for years. It's infuriating
They don't have data of who has been on their programme? Bollocks!
The idea that the beeb is anything other than right wing in orientation is ridiculous. How many times do we have to suffer obscure right wing think tank types pushing right wing economic dogma.
@paul Then don't watch and do something useful!
@@chatham43 I don't, I gave up watching bits on youtube due to the woeful quality of journalism on the beeb...and I haven't had a tv for decades and no iplayer due to living in Europe!
@chatham43 useful like trolling You Tube videos
Wasn’t garage on there every week? Plus all the tufton st gonks
Gary Stephenson should get on Questiontime!
Get rid of THE BBC no one likes the crap they put on
"We're fiercely independent as long as you ignore all the rich bias people we keep platforming."
Tories claiming we are not influenced by Tories.
Tim Davie is obviously a right wing apologist. How can a Tory be unbiased which he is even ignoring the fact he was a Tory selection. Question time is definetely right wing.
Tim Davie is dodgy
Shut it down public debate not politicians.
“Tim Davie unsuccessfully stood as a councillor for the Conservative Party in the Hammersmith and Fulham London Borough Council elections in 1993 and 1994 and was deputy chairman of the Hammersmith and Fulham Conservative Association in the 1990s.”
David Jordan there, talking absolute bollocks.
Thanks for calling out the number of appearances of over representation of right wing political, press and media outlets and groups. Good point about SNP and ruling Labour party in Wales and underrl- representation. Ive been noticing the right wing bias for at least 14 years on question time. Its quite an outrage. Hopefully we shall get the BBC out of Tory hands the year. #generalelectionnow
I hate the fact that if I want a television in my house, I must fund the bbc, how I the world is that democratic I have a choice whether to fund any other media outlet but not the bbc so anti democratic. I actually don’t even know how that’s legal.
Once you have dismissed the notion that the nation's laws exist for us commoners' benefit, it becomes a lot easier to imagine.
“I’m totally unaware of that data and where it’s come from” It’s your bloody program, why do you not know who’s on it???
Ludicrous for him to say if you have data we haven't seen. They should have all that data anyway,
Stop paying for this shit !!😂
Well done Rupa Huq, we're all thinking what you're saying.
“We’re not being leant on. I am a Right winger so I am already biased in that regard.” Tim Divie, former Tory candidate, supposedly.
Helpful question would have been why no schedule on Covid 19 on Question Time?
Butter wouldn’t melt
