Nothing tastier than leather, oak & tobacco 😂😂
Goes nicely with a pair of Cowboy boots, a Stetson, and a cigar.
And an old shoe! 😂
Hmmm yes, tastes like grandpa
So.... A chain smoking lumberjacks shoe?
@@TheAstroProblem 😂😂😂
You should do a blender video of your own tasting notes on this whiskey
Ah yes, tobbaco, oak, mesquite, and old shoe
Exactly what I thought
Who wants to eat a shoe 😂
Funny story, while at their distillery I had sampled their product and didn’t care for it. There was a guy standing next to me and he asked me what I thought about and I was very truthful and told him I wouldn’t buy a bottle because it wasn’t to my liking. Come to find out that he was one of the owners. 😂😂🤣🤣
As a bartender, I served the Garrison Family their own whiskey years ago. Very Kind family and grateful we served their product.
Wow...I'd love to have some stories like this. I live in Spain though...what we're good at is wine, though 😂
Yeah, we went to their distillery a few years back for a bachelor party type thing and the owner bought us all drinks, very nice people
My friends and I went to a tasting one year, they had Garrison Brothers there. We all decided drinking it was like walking into a saloon and immediately getting punched in the face, then the guy that punched you buy you a drink after you stood up.
Garrison Brothers is my jam.
Careful now! Lol this is my heart!
lol. We were easy with it.
Agree! Also my favorite and he made it sound disgusting 😂
Texas is just built different y’all…
That bottle of Four Roses Single Barrel 100 proof up on the shelf is one of the best series of Barrel Bourbons....EVER!!!! I have several, and they are all great.
Amen 👍😉
This is what I like about this channel, @Brewzle, you take the time to educate, as well as entertain! Thanks!
It’s because it doesn’t cool and breathe through the wood to mellow the harsh taste. Kinda of like the New England bourbons which are very light in taste. They don’t expand into the wood as much. The middle of the us like Kentucky get hot and then cool which gives it a better expansion and contraction.
Hell yeah! Texas!
The effort this guy puts editing, getting different camera angles, etc, so under appreciated. Earned another subscriber
Oh yeah! Old shoe, my fav.
Mmmmm old shoe, my favourite
😂😂😂😂
Lady bird and honey dew option is where its at. Their main line is too oak forward but the honey infusion tames it and same with the cognac finish honey whiskey by Garrison Brothers.
Have you tried Bendt Whiskey? It's another Texas brand. Come with me on this journey...lol
Bendt tastes the way that a Texas summer breeze smells. It's just heavenly. ❤️
Thank you for your videos!
I love old shoe flavor
😂😂😂😂
Just starting to get into bourbon and I really love these reviews. Helping me find what I enjoy
I’ve taken a tour at their distillery a few times. Their Honeydew is really good.
Leather …yes… like a saddle on a sweaty horse. I actually liked it.
Thanks for giving us some love! You are the internet’s whiskey guru!
One of my favorite Bourbons!
You need to try Milam & Greene. Partly made and fully blended and bootled in Blanco, Texas.
It's some good stuff and uses that texas taste to thier advantage when thier master blender does her thing.
My local spirit store got a barrel pick of this and I absolutely loved it.
You know I love this channel, never had a sip of whiskey in my life and don’t plan to, but still love it
Recently discovered your page. I have learned a lot. Great stuff!
Welcome aboard!
You should try liquorish whisky
@brewzle. Try brothers bond! I want to see what a masters palate is able to extract from that bourbon!
Love garrison
Nothing but good ol ky bourbon for myself.
Preach
garrison brothers is amazing!
I'll be doing a bicycle ride down in Hill Country beginning at the end of next week, and on one of our days, we will be stopping at Garrison Brothers. Where I will get several bottles since I love their bourbon!
That’s my favorite go to bourbon 🥃. I love driving down to the Distillery there in Hye Texas and just hanging out with them get autographs play some games and do the tour it never gets old!! They also have awesome veterans discounts also.
Recently went for the first time and it was a great experience. Definitely will be going back again.
Bourbon comes from Kentucky so this is just whiskey.
@@blakedavis2447 being made in Kentucky is not a requirement to be considered bourbon
@@PtownSoccer15 and yet regional requirements are a thing for champagne and scotch so why is bourbon different? That’s a rhetorical question by the way.
@@blakedavis2447 you can go look it up, bourbon is able to be made in other states.
Get a bottle of Balcones Brimstone. Strongest whiskey I've ever had.
Tobacco, mesquite and whiskey love it
Garrison's high proof is what you need to try - all of them
Garrisons small batch is my favorite. But then again I’m from Texas and we like ours stout
I love watching these videos pretending to understand what is being said. Something nice to watch in my opinion
there is no way anybody truly enjoys the taste of these🤣🤣🤣. I love this channel though man, keep it up.
I have met the family at a tasting, they are very nice people with a lot of passion for whiskey. They have a great line up of whiskey, from an organic honey whiskey to a bourbon barrel whiskey. Some bottles come and go in my bar but you can bet your ass I have a bottle of Garrison Brothers in there at all times.
I'm sure it hits like their power grid.
Gotta love some Guadalupe and Cowboy from them.
I see Garrison Brothers here in SW PA, may have to give it a try.
It's hot in Lynchburg too
I’m from Texas and live me some bourbon ! Ima have to try this . Pendletons is pretty good.
I'd like to try that. Over the years, I've been trying to max out on flavor. Something like that would be right what I'd enjoy. Sort of how some people like limburger and blue cheese, and other top of the list flavors.
Garrison Brothers for the win. Seriously, get it, try it, you’ll love it.
God Bless Texas.
As a scotch drinker myself, i actually prefer that kind of flavour profile haha its so weird when you describe it that way.
Bourbons can be too sweet for me most of the time, but once in a while i find a great bourbon. Plus i much prefer the pricing on bourbon 😂
I get that strong Leather Oak in Woodford Double Oak.
Have you tried High West Campfire? If not, definitely worth it!
Love it!🎉🥃
When I get home from work, nothing hits the spot more than some bark and some dried cow hide.
Milam & Greene 🤌
Holy damn I need this
You mention the heat. Is the whiskey aged in a hot sun baked barn in the middle of the scrub land? Genuinely asking.
It's stuck in a non climate controlled warehouse for storage.
@@HH-le1vi So I was right, except it’s a warehouse not a barn. I just read up on it a bit and it’s not just the heat but the temperature fluctuations that give it its distinct character.
Love these videos, you just got a new subscriber, keep em coming please:) cheers from Denmark
Gotta try that one, much love from Texas!
Would love to see your review. Hayner whiskey they just recently started their distillery backup after a hundred years
Live about 5 miles from their distillery. Good place. Good whiskey
doesn't sound to good
yep them extreme climate conditions in Tx do some um............interesting.......things to whiskey
I use alot of your short reviews to help me decide on new bourbons to try, im from kentucky so i tend to have the majority at my disposal. Give me your thoughts on blade and bow?
Love your videos 😊
And this is why Texas whiskeys should be a separate category of wiskey, like Tennessee wiskeys. I am from Texas, and Texas whiskey is my favorite!
As a mostly Scottish Malt and Irish Potstill fan, bourbon tends to be too simple for my palate. Not saying Bourbon is bad, but far from memorable or exciting when compared to my usual picks.
Texas, specifically Balcones is the exception. I prefer their Rye and malt, but I'm guessing the combo of Texas and potstills is what it takes to get Bourbon towards my palate.
But I'm always open to suggestions when it comes to a more complex and interesting bourbon in general.
I love this cause I learn about alcohol I’ve had or haven’t had before
Cool video
Try Barrel Vantage
Goes well with a cigar!
Would like to see something out of the opposite spectrum as Texas, like Colorado whiskey maybe?
Which brand?
@@Brewzle Breckinridge, stranahans?
Sounds like it would go good with a Olivia Connecticut cigar
It’s not really the heat but the massive changes in temperature, which happens daily in Texas.
Where's the love for scotch? I would love to see some scotch reviews
I left some johnny w. Black label in the garage for a few months and I drank some with some pineapple juice and I couldn't even taste the juice or the alcohol. Just the notes
If you can get it, try Texas 254 whiskey. It's cheap but tasty
Man my whisky is the shit
If you could get good irish whiskeys like 25 year or 12 year jameson, teelings, Bushmills and dubliner lord I think you would love them
Try Arizona whiskey. It gets 115° in Phoenix
Please run the range from Garrison - I would like to hear your thoughts on them all.
This guy probably says double hue😅😊
❤❤😂🎉
You should try the crown Royal reserve
Or the 15 year old crown Royal that just came out
When I first tried garrison brothers it tasted like what a cavenders or a boot barn smells like
In staying with the theme how about a review of TX Straight Bourbon oooooor perhaps Balcones Texas Blue Corn Bourbon
Have you tried bison ridge Canadian whisky?
I need to find me a bottle if Texas whiskey
Devil's River does amazing bourbon and they're also out of Texas
Can you do a redwood empire review on they're bourbon and American whisky
Try Balconies single malt. They're out of Waco.
you should try Bodega cat
Try black feather bourbon
Try Texas silver star whiskey
Still nursing a bottle of Garrison Brother's Balmorhea. Honestly one of the most complex bourbons I've ever had.
I've been looking for more bourbons to pair with whiskey. Sounds like a good one
Wait what
I don't know why but I always find it funny when people taste something extremely wet and go "ah yes this liquid is dry" (I know I'm an idiot)
Have you reviewed Iron Root?
Have you thought of trying the texas 254 blend?
Try Cedar Ridge bourbon
Facial expression says it all
