- Using the worst PC parts of 2019, we now have the new Disappointment PC. Stars Stadia, Radeon VII, Intel, and more.
Buy the Disappointment PC Shirt in cotton (geni.us/izO3) or Tri-Blend (geni.us/rw8QX) to support us, our intros/in-depth testing, and to commemorate a year of disappointment! These will be a limited run due to the nature of the shirt.
This type of content is a ton of work. We really appreciate everyone's interest in our Disappointment PC series and put more effort into this video than probably any other edit this year. It was days of work to do the filming, editing, and even the story this time. To support our work on projects like this (and also to help fund our future in-depth testing overhauls for 2020), please consider buying a Disappointment PC shirt for 2019, linked above, or donating via Patreon: / gamersnexus
In this year's Disappointment PC Build, we've collected the worst-of-the-worst parts -- like Google Stadia, the Intel X-Series 10980XE, Cooler Master Q500L, and Radeon VII GPU -- and have collected them all into one terrible system. We'll be recapping and rewinding the most interesting parts of the year in order, start-to-finish, to help everyone remember all the many letdowns along the way. There have been many good things too, of course, but that's not today's focus.
Watch our progression here!

I bet there would be no GPU in that build.

Abkoncore Ramesses 780

Asrock z490 velocita motherboard the 10700k
GPU'S:
PowerColor RX 5600 XT Red Dragon Review
Coolers:
Corsair A500
Walmart and Cyberpower Prebuilt PC'S
If I can find more I'll add it later (I have to see some Steve reviews)
Great year... if it was in stock
@ the 10700k wasn't a dissapointment at all though... It was basically a 9900k with enhanced features for much less money. I'd say the 10900k was a dissapointment due to its high price and poor stock, especially when the 10850k came out.

It’s hard to believe the Radeon VII was this year, it died so quickly that it felt like it was 2018.
For gaming, yea. Right now the VII is about $500 NEW, and it still has the 16GB HBM2 for absolutely shredding productivity workloads. For certain video editing tasks that really load the memory, one Radeon VII can beat two RTX Titans.
@@KingHalbatorix radeon 7 looks like such a steal on paper for prosumers
Buying R7 for games was an stupid move, for professional video/photo editor this card is melting everything. Just had to waterblock it and 2080super TI [ cost 1400-1600 dollars today ] is 20-30% slower in rendering etc.
@@Dar1usz idk man, I did the same but I game on it under linux as well as using it for blender and I think it runs games phenomenally.
Witcher 3 at 4k ultra tops out at 80fps and the .1% lows are in the 70fps range, doom 2016 4k ultra hits over 100fps and I kid you not the 0.1% low is within 5fps of the average. Both of those titles aren't even native to linux, they're running on a compatability layer which adds overhead.
It sucks that the drivers for windows are already EOL, but as a GCN card it'll probably get another decade of updates for the open-source AMDGPU stack on linux.
Also, Nvidia's proprietary linux drivers gimp performance somewhat so the watercooled VII will beat even a 2080 super in gaming fairly often, and it always gets higher marks than the 2080 FE

Who’s watching in 2020 and thinking “dang, intel is STILL, in the disappointment chart..”
I know 7nm delayed to 2022?
AMD has probably perfected 1nm by that point.
I think it should have reserved spot there for 2021 and 2022 too... I mean it is 3 years already since AMD started pissing at them and they still haven't figured out what went wrong.
The 10600k was alright for a little while.
I love how the stadia logo came onto the screen (with artifacting) right when the disappointment garbage spontaneously burst into flames 😂

"Double negative latency technology"
We don't know it yet, but Tech Jesus here hasn't actually made this video yet. It's been beamed here in the present, from the future, through the power of negative latency and predictive AI machine learning blockchain distributed internet-of-things buzzword technology.
Stadia was actually launched in 2022, but arrived in 2019 due to negative latency.
When the Radeon VII was announced I was pretty excited and would have loved to get one!
Watching this has made me realise that, perhaps for once in my life, being poor helped me.
not gonna lie I would still get one.
Its faster than my current one, so itd be an upgrade for me even if its not the best lol
I'm not getting the hate for the card. It was overpriced like all higher end cards, but I don't think it was a bad gpu. *lol, yes, I own one.
@@wearewaves3106 I guess its not massively underperforming comoared to other cards, so its decent?
How well does it work for you in your games/tasks?
@@ZoopZoop I'm happy with it. Smooth gameplay (lots of vram) and drivers are decent now for sure. Being a Nvidia user I was used to the controls (especially for triple screens) but I'm getting used to AMD now. Fun to play with if you buy the waterblock, but I have my overclock set now and don't really touch it much anymore except to tweak the odd game. I don't care for the "automatic" software controls. (never did, even with nvidia) Looks classy in my case. Overpriced when I bought it. Not much else to say really...no problems, and it's almost been a year. * I should also say that I came from a GTX970, and I wanted to support AMD this round. I couldn't find a decent priced 1080ti, and I wasn't supporting RTX. I'm close to 2080 in regards to benchmarks in some games and better in others. I'm not a content creator so I can't comment on that.

I understand only probably 2 or 3 out of 10 people in America can probably play on stadia with no lag at their highest-res preset, but it's those 2-3/10 people that stadia is build for. Besides, although you can purchase it NOW, it is still in the technical beta stage. Don't get me wrong, I HAVE to be home to actually play on stadia, anywhere else with under 200mbps (400mbps is my personal speed) won't cut it on max settings, but I've gotten 35mbps to work on the data saver mode. Super niche product, but I mostly bought it not for the games, but for the social features like joining in with streamers using it or that sort of thing. Coming next year. When you get payed by the company's your review is always going to be positive.

haf x is heavy as hell. i used to own one. i don't see how anyone sane would use it as a 'lan party' case. go for a mini ATX if you're gonna go that route. lol
Still running a CM Storm Scout here. The solid handle on the case is was actually really great for 5+years of luging it about while living out of hotels for half the year for work. Bought a GL702zc r7 1700 + rx580 laptop last year and never looked back, however. A single back pack is so much easier to lug around then a full atx case plus a suit case for the monitor and such. Still carry the extra suitcase, now, with a second monitor, cause why not :(
