In the end, wanting good for another being and succeeding in giving that, is an objective good. No matter how selfish, irrational and mindless the motivations really are. I don't like dressing it up as something special, or worthy of respect, which it's not, but it's undeniably a good thing.

Not one member of the animal kingdom feels remorse, and they are all far more brutal than humans in the way that they kill. Many animals actually intentionally torture their prey.
