the fans kinda knew he had some issues with his hair when he was never seen without a cap/hat. but when he said he had been suffering from it for 5 years (even before debut!) that really broke my heart.
now I'm just so happy for the support he's gotten from everyone I feel so blessed the love he's receiving.

Idols have such high stress levels, I'm surprised he's the only one to come out about hair loss. 😟 I lost a lot of my hair from high stress situations as well. People don't realize the toll stress takes on your body. He may have a slight hormone deficiency or maybe his adrenal glands aren't working properly. I wish that companies start to take a more active role in the health of their employees. This is heart breaking

yeah idk how it works exactly but for me I've gotten a lot of white hair. Now that I've changed jobs, I still have some of the white hair but much much less. I thought how am I getting so much white hair and such a young age but luckily a lot of it has gone away although I do still have white hair.

it must be difficult for him to come out with it since in Korea idol image is streamly criticized if they don't look like they "should be" I think he looks so handsome with hair and without it. he even looks like a baby.

Honestly, I don't really know BTOB but when I saw him I just thought "oh cool! A kpop singer with a shaved head!" only then did it occur to me that in all my kpop loving life I've never seen an idol with a shaved head, so I googled him and found out about his alopecia. What a boss for speaking publicly about it.

I hope fans get used to it and can understand the situation. some fans in seats made me worry with their face gestures. don't be so superficial. looking different and unique always add more to the idols career. im not a melody but i find comfort in peniel bc i have alopecia and its nice to be able to relate to someone else although im a 14 year old girl
As a girl, having alopecia is the worst thing ever i have to wear hats and wigs and it's very uncomfortable and very tiring you keep on checking if people are looking or if anything is noticable because of how judging the society is.. I've had it since I was 2 years old, now I'm 25 and I have to say not many people would accept you for who you are, it can ruin your social/dating life. I understand him, if I was a guy I would just go fully bald but I don't have the courage to do that as a girl I feel like having hair is a part of a girl's identity... I cried when he took it off I wish I could do that too

I think Peniel is suffering from Alopecia. When they said the cause was stress, it reminded me of myself since i'm also suffering alopecia (at a young age) which my doctor said that the cause was stress or possibly lack of sleep. Mine's not yet as worse like Peniel but he was so brave to confess his hair loss problem. This is one of the reasons why i like BTOB.

Sounds like he has alopecia... Nothing to be a ashamed of I cut all my hair off from time to time to support things like cancer n alopecia. Not many ppl stare in the US tho n when they do idc they don't know me n I'll never see them again :)

Honestly, i was tearing when i saw his facial expression when he took off his hat. I do feel happy for him and proud for his courage to acknowledge his problem that he has to go through these 5 years. It is frustrating for anyone who suffered hair loss especially when you are an idol and i can totally understand the pain he has suffered but am tearing because i applaud for his courage to come out to his fans in public....

My friend has a similar condition to Peniel...but not as bad as his. She had patches of bald spots during our Sophomore year, and her doctor told her that she had to relief herself from stress and do only things that were positive and she even had to go on a cleansing diet to clean out her body. Now Senior year her hair started growing back but it still look as if someone had shaved different area around her hair though. The most inspiring thing is that she went around school like that, and smiled every single day. She took out some of her colleges classes(jnr yrs) because they were stressful to her and even left her so called "friends". She never once thought about negativity. Junior year she became a Junior Marshall, Senior year (more to come) she is ranked number 30 out of 278 seniors. The fact that school almost killed her is scary. Before junior year she was taking AP/IB classes, 2 College courses, clubs, sport, council committee, etc... I see why she was stressing out badly...but that shaped her up. I hope Peniel stay strong and brave after this. Everyday my Ma always tells me.."Out there is your battlefield, you either fight for what you believe in or surrender your rights". Peniel be brave man. Look at your best pals. Amber, Rome, Eric!! The best Quadruple there is!!!! Fighting Pen.!!

If you are having headaches. You should go to a doctor, considering you might be anemic. Just be sure to get your Iron and Ferritin levels checked. Defiencies can cause hair loss
i had that lose hair genetics from my father side. even my mother's thick hair genetic can save me and my siblings from lose hair.
