He kinda had it rough too. He got shit thrown at him for years by older Star Wars fans, it’s only when the people who grew up watching the prequels got older that he started getting the respect he deserved. Jake Loyd’s case though is messed up and sad, boy was only 10 years old and got shat on by grown ass people.
He's still pretty depressed apparently, him and his ex wife Bilson split because according to her friends Rachel was more outgoing and social, and Hayden is more reclusive and can be depressed at times. But who knows

I never understood the hate for Lloyd. Yes, his acting is occasionally cringy, but you can't expect a 10-year old to act as well as a professional actor with an entire lifetime of practise under his belt.
Christensen also did a good job. The problem was with the writing, not him.

It has to be tough for a 10 year old to take eon that role and all of the negative fan and critic criticism around it. They probably screwed up his head with their remarks about the movies and his acting. In the end it's Star Wars not acting parts that are Oscar worthy. None of these movies are well acted. They're corny space stories... Just fun to watch.

Lloyd actually did a good job for a 10 year old boy, Christiansen was between Good and OK. But yes the writing was what mainly pushed them off. Sometimes I wished The Clone Wars Tv Show was the prequels instead. Lloyd definitely didn't deserve to be bullied for his role as Anakin Skywalker

However, in terms of Star Wars, they are good films. The story is good, I liked the politics and the fight scenes were much better. They added a lot to Star Wars. They're also infinitely better than the sequels.

Besides, overall I do think Star Wars is still bigger than marvel and if not, it is still more significant. Star Wars has been a major influencer for film culture since the 70s. What has marvel done besides release a few great films a few good films and a whole load of mediocre films?

I think people just don’t understand the character of Anakin like yeah he’s got some clunky dialogue but literally Hayden played him perfectly. The Devious Duck I think it has to do with who gets top billing in the credits, as well as screen time. Jake Lloyd was definitely a supporting actor, as he didn’t appear in Episode I as much as Ewan McGregor. But I do think Hayden’s role in II and III amounted to at least co-leading role, along with Ewan and Natalie.

Yo the prequels were hated when they came out but now we cherish them
I have always liked them, even though they aren't perfect.
But I can see why most of the earlier prequel haters are starting to like them too, those movies just are fucking masterpieces compared to the disney trilogy.

Attack of the clones and Revenge of the sith were my favorites. I don't give a shit, I grew up with 4, 5, and 6. 2 and 3 were my favorites.

I met David Prowse 3 times over the years and had some quite lengthy conversations with him. I never felt that he had any bad feeling about the character being voiced by someone else. He seemed a very honest and intelligent guy who would’ve easily accepted that his accent doesn’t fit an inter galactic villain. There was also a news story about him being upset by the unmasking scene in Return of the Jedi in the UK but I never got a sense that that was true either, he never mentioned it.
All I ever sense from him was a pride in not only getting the role but being part of the Star Wars universe. He loved the fans and was very forthcoming and warm to them. Also, he was very active in the British film business with the Hammer Horror films, so much so that Star Wars wasn’t the first time he played opposite Peter Cushing. And of course he had a prominent role in the British Cult Film ‘A Clockwork Orange’ directed by Stanley Kubrick. The main reason he secured the Darth Vader role, George Lucas telling him at an interview… ‘If you’re good enough for Kubrick, you’re good enough for me’.
Yes, he was the Green Cross Code Man in Britain (which included a rather embarrassing incident where he got done for speeding whilst late for an appearance at a school as the GCCM, something he did for at least 5 years to my knowledge) but he also appeared in the BBC SciFi Comedy Series, ‘The Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy’ as Hotblack Desiarto’s bodyguard. After Return of the Jedi, he concentrated his efforts running the Gym he owned in London and attending meet and greet events up and down the country.
The disagreement with Lucas was quite disheartening but I don’t think that Prowse was particularly alone in the way that he was treated by Lucasfilm. There are quite a few story’s of Lucas being a bit blunt with his actors and discarding them after use but then again he did carry a lot of the risk of the Star Wars franchise films even well into the prequels so that will effect a person really, plus of course, Lucas is an always has been a bit of an artist and visionary and those types of people often find themselves inadvertently getting other people’s backs up.
Anyway, I digress, David Prowse is still one of the most warm and forthcoming actor/celebrities that I’ve ever met and I really enjoyed our conversations.

It's because people think that what the actor says is decided by them. It isn't. Honestly i think Hayden was one of the best actors Star Wars ever had. Especially in Revenge of the Sith. His performance was amazing.

Hayden did a really good job of playing Anakin. He got a lot of hate, which I feel was really unjustified. He was a bit "wooden" in AotC, but that was because of the conflicting emotions the character was dealing with. RotS really showed how good he did, in my opinion.
Prowse felt slighted, because he claims he wasn't informed of the voice change. Also, Prowse didn't perform many of the lightsaber battles in Empire and Jedi.
The complaints at the time of episode 2's release was that Hayden csme across more like a sulky and whiny teenager than anyone who could be considered a serious threat then or in the future.
I watched all 6 movies back to back recently. It was my first time watching the prequels and my second time watching the original trilogy. Honestly, I don't see why the prequels got as much hate as they did. I liked them.

Actually Vader was four people in the original trilogy. All of his fight scenes were performed by Bob Anderson. This was supposed to be a secret, but Mark Hamill came clean about it not too long ago.
I heard somebody say that the Emperor was played by 3 people, the voice is done by a man, the body is done by a woman, and the eyes are done by a chimpanzee. so Emperor and Vader were multiple people
That was ONLY in the first Version of the Empirer Strikes Back where the Hologram of Palpatine is played buy a Woman with HORRIBLE Make Up and a Cloak...one of the Changes where i am REALY glad Lucas made them.
Bob Anderson's role is more as a stunt double.
Don't forget Dave Prowse played 'Julian' in 'A Clockwork Orange' ..another 'big man' role for him ..along side Patrick Magee + also DP was Frankenstein a couple times & was friends with Peter Cushing & Christopher Lee in Hammer Horror days..

honestly, it didnt work because he was mimicking james earl jones cadence but had his whiny voice. i think the acting was ok, but even though he nailed the cadence in which jones would have delivered those lines, the actor couldnt pull off a role of big tall badass.
