    Having no idea if 2000 erous per month is a safe money if you study in München.

      @datawithrez  Před rokem

      I think it’s doable. Shared flat (600), food 300 (no restaurants or takeout), public health insurance ~200,other expenses (transpo, internet, basic necessities) -- so I think it’s possible. I assume München is similar price to frankfurt :) these are approximates.

      Hi @Dianndra, I'm not sure if I'm good at this because I really did not look at a lot of selections. One thing to consider is if you want to have a part time job I would suggest a university located in Big cities. :) If you don't have German yet then universities that are located in cities where there are a lot of international companies. I think there are a lot of factors here. But I would consider that as one of my main criteria.

    Hey Rez thanks for making this video, I want to study BSc Digital Business & Data Science in Berlin moving from the US & I'd like to know how much I can expect to earn as a working student in this field. I remember you saying between €450 - €1500 is enough to live on but I wonder if it will be enough to live on in Berlin.

    • @datawithrez
      @datawithrez  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Lionel, based on my personal experience if you can find a working student job in the data science field you can get around 1200-1600. this is gross so taxes can be subtracted, if you earn around 1600 then the net will be around 1200. In berlin, depending on your lifestyle, this might be enough. I was in Berlin last week and heard that prices of flats went high because of the start-ups, but I think this also means more job opportunities. but if you stay in dormitories it's much cheaper. but also look it up that you can't work for more than 120 full days or 240 half days as a student.

    Hi, do you know if there's any yearly income limit on how much international student can earn?
    Thank you

    • @datawithrez
      @datawithrez  Před 2 lety

      Hi @Haru Yanto, as far as I know, there is no limit for yearly income. If you go beyond 450 euros per month, you will only be taxed. However, there is a limit on how many hours you work per year as a student, that is 120 full days or 20 hours per week through the year. Depending on your skills, the expected hourly rate is around 10 euros to 20 euros.

    Hi,
    I and my wife plan to apply for a scholarship (MSC) in Germany. What would be the minimum cost of living for a month for both of us?

    • @datawithrez
      @datawithrez  Před 3 lety +2

      Hi, which city are you planning to stay? In larger cities, the rent is around 800-1000+ euros for a flat, 400 euros for food good for a month. plus electricity and internet. insurance too but it's covered by the company if not, insurance is somewhere around 200 euros. To be safe maybe around 2000, you can of course go lower than that but that's a safe budget.

      @@datawithrez Thanks Rez for the quick response. We haven't plan the location because we both need to apply for the student visa and we try to get course fee + living scholarship for at least one of us. I'm also looking for Data Science MSC and that's how I found your videos. Is it possible to get scholarship opportunities?

    • @datawithrez

      @@LAChinthaka some master courses are almost free of charge by default. for scholarships with grants, I don't know that much, I know DAAD and erasmus. It's possible to get scholarship with grants but not that common.
