Thank you for information! In the near future I want to studying in Germany and get master's degree. Your content is really helpful for me.
Let's goo! I'm rooting for you
Can you make a video talking about the most important thing we should pack from our homeland as we move alone for the first time (from your experience) also a traveling suitcase video would be helpful 😂🙏
Very interesting topic! Noted.
hey man, I'm already 28 years old and have worked for 4 years in China and just under two years ago I decided to study computer science in Germany and have been saving for it since then. I have passed the TestDaf with Niveau 4 but the language is still going to be a huge challenge for me. And financial problem is also a big worry for me because I can only fund myself with around 20k euro of my savings and I have to use these money to get through a bachelor program. I have invested much but still have doubts and worries. But I think I'm gonna do it and I will succeed.
Keep up the good work man, your videos are really really helpful, positive and gives me the optimism I need for the moment.
Wish you the best on your journey! Happy to have you here on the channel

Also: minimum wage has been increased as of 1.1.2024, it’s 12,41€
Amazing content! Coming to Paderborn Universität this April for a business administration. I would like to know if the call center market is a thing in germany? I have around B2 german and around 3 years of experience in Amazon. Would that be helpful, bzw. find a student job in a call center? Cheers!
Your experience at Amazon is gonna be helpful yes. Although a lot of call centers and responses to customer requests are being automated with AI right now I'm pretty sure there are still job opportunities in Germany :)
When enrolling for a foreign university in a big city, such as munich, which has a big housing problem.
Would you recommend waiting for the university's admission letter before looking for an apartment or would you do it the other way around?
Greetings and thanks for your videos :)
You're welcome :)
I can recommend doing research on the housing market and accommodation before receiving the admission letter!
I know a guy who is planning to come to Munich this September and he is going to start looking for apartments in May.
hello max
thanks for sharing... !!
i have just watched your video and as i am planing to travel in the next month to germany i have a simple qustion ..
so . what do you say is that for example if i find a part time job for lets say 13 euro per hour which means 1040 per month and while using your calculator that will leave me with 942.83 € .. so its okay to work more than 520 euros a month and pay taxes as a student ..
i did not know that !
If you go above 520 you need to start paying social contributions. Income taxes if you go above 11.604 Euro per year
Can't wait for the next video ... i also habe a question: i am planning to move to Germany to study master in mechanical engineering... is there is an chance to find a mini-job related to my study in the same city ? Also is freelancing money out of taxes ? Like in my case (Z.B 3D cad design)
There is a chance, yes, but the probability is always lower in smaller cities
Unfortunately, international students are not allowed to do freelancing in Germany :(
@@maxyoko
So if i did make an account on some freelancing website and make it put the money in my friends bank account and then he would transfer it for me every now and then would that work ?
@@anasassi1661 sounds kinda illegal to me 😂
As a student coming next winter what do you think would be first few things to do as a student in new country mate? 😊
Hmm, from the top of my head, I can say:
Get a visa
Find a suitable degree program
Very important: finding an apartment.
Take care of finances (finding a job, etc)
Get used to the culture & make good friends
But video about this is also coming in the future
Just wanted to ask is BSBI in Berlin is good option to study or not. As its fee structure is low.
Can you get any tax returns (regarding to pension insurance or health insurance etc) while working part time 880€ netto according to your calculation?
Hey buddy If I work for 20 hrs a week that (Mon-Fri) and if I wokr a Mini job on weekends. Will those extra hours gonna be counted? Will that be a problem since I am not from a very privileged background and I have to repay the loan amount.
Normally they won't allow you to work more than 20 per week but you can get a special permission
Can you help me with my queries Max? Like can we work as a student in studienkolleg
How does the Studienkolleg system work? Can we study in any Studienkolleg and apply to many universities?
I have made a video about Studienkolleg :)
Thanks for this! Is medical exam required to secure a job?
No not required :)
Hallo Max! Im wondering if i should raise a good amount of money (main goal: to cover the Mietekosten as a student in Germany) before studying in Germany, here from my homeland. Is that ok? Do you think should i focus on this? I want to study in Trier(not an expensive city).
Hey, yess definitely do that! For your visa you also need proof of finances, I think about 850€ per month for the first year
@@maxyoko do students from EU need visa?
Btw your content is great! Keep giving us that kind of quality!

Hi Max, I’m planning to come and study in German. I’m a Structural Technician/ Structural Engineering draughtsperson with 6 years exp. How’s the market like for my profession. Thanks in advance.
I have heard from a video on Instagram that cities like Duisburg are the most depressed city in Germany ... should we take stuff like that in mind when moving for the first time alone to germany ?
Hard to tell if that is actually true. There are always nice people in every city.
But yeah there are definitely differences between cities
Very useful information, is it possible to get a job in Leipzig as a non-german speaker?
Yes it's possible
But it might be harder compared to more international cities like Munich or Berlin
I can definitely recommend you learn German :)
Bro can please do a video on agriculture masters in Germany
I'm not getting any video or information in CZcams could you please help me
are you required to get special permission for freelancing or having private clients? or as long as you fall under the 240 half days or 120 full days i can freelance as much as u want??
If you're from a non-EU country, you will need special permission do to freelancing
As you told about minijob and part time job .
If we do both jobs at a time as 540€ will be of mini job and 960€ for part time job .
540€ +870 approx(after tax deduction) = 1410€
Can we earn monthly 1400€ or its a limit that we only earn 870€ (even we do part time or mini job )
Your reply is appreciated!!
There is no limit on the money you can earn (after 10000 per year you gotta pay taxes tho) but there is a limit on how many hours you can work in a week (20h)
@@maxyoko in 20 hours both will count or its for only part time job not for minjob
@@sheikhhaseeb2026 in total 20h per week
Hi, I am from Sweden. I want to ask is there any unemployment crisis going on in part-time jobs for students, all I'm trying to mean is that "is it very hard to find a part-time job in Germany now days for non german speaking students"
I am Japanese living in Kyoto.
I had been searched for an online program for Computer Science in Japan and other countries for a while, and now I have been thinking of studying Computer Science at International University of Applied Sciences in Germany while working in Japan.
I know it must be tough...
Have you heard of this uni? If not, never mind.😅
I just got to know your video, but your video is so informative. Thank you.
Good to hear something from a fellow Japanese ❤️
Yeah, I've heard of this university, it's very popular amongst international students. Also heard that it's a private one
Wish you the best on your journey and I'm happy to have you here on the channel
Bro this year i want to continue my study in Germany and to be honest i do not have money for KDB (€11208) and now i want to ask you : germany has university which is KDB is unnecessary or if i get full scholarship , can i do not pay for kdb
What exactly do you mean by KDB? There are scholarships available in Germany that will cover a lot, so yes you could go for them and finance your studies here. But to study here you need some form of proof of financial stability
Please I have your admission in gisma university of applied science please what is the living expenses in Potsdam
Congrats! I would say you can expect something between 600 and 1000 Euros
what do you think bro the number of students are getting more in germnay day by day so there will be jobs after 2 years ?? by the way love your voice love from india
Thanks a lot!
True, but a lot of people are getting older, and new jobs are created every day! We need good talent in Germany
@@maxyoko thanks for reply 🥰 i'm 16 and i get a lot knowledge from your video at this age thanks so much you are like elder brother in my life !! if i get chance after 2 years to meet you in germany so it will so great full 🥰 thanks stay health( bhaiya) 😇

Good comment x23
So is that 880€ enough just to live ... or will we be able to spare some for stuff like going to restaurant twice a month or a gym sub ?
With 880 you can cover the basic living expenses in most German cities. It always depends on how you live, the German state recommends to have at least 850 per month ready
Depends on where you live (which city, type of accomodation) but 880€ will most probably only suffice for the absolute basics.
Thanks i from Nepal

Can i do both minijob and part time job
As I know, an international student must have 11208 euro to get student visa. Can the student get this visa again if they have part-time job and makes certain amount of money?
yess every year you need to show that you have sufficient funds (renewed blocked account or part-time job contract)
Hi can you be a truck driver as an international student in Germany
In theory yes, but might be difficult to balance that with university
Are there any universities that offer housing/dormitories?
Most of the major universities have connections to the student organization in the city that provides dorms
@@maxyoko thank you for replying i appreciate it! i love your content btw really helpful💜💜💜

This. I also got my part time and minijob from referrals of our neighbors. For some reason, I was surprised that Germans actually love gossips too. I thought it's only Asian thing haha
Hello Brother i have two questions one is which city has more international people English language Berlin Frankfurt Hamburg munich? And 2nd question is i am a smartphone hardware repair technician can i get a part time job in Germany if yes then how? Please reply because i am considering to come to Germany
Out of the four, it's probably Berlin
And yeah you could technically get a part-time job at a smartphone repair shop, there are plenty of them in the city center
@@maxyoko Thank you so much broski ❤️
Can i work remotely for my home country from germany
In theory yes, but you need to properly do the paperwork and taxes
How can we work as a student assistant?? i really wanna do it. It's gonna save so much time and effort, hehehe
You ask your university, if they have any jobs available :)
I've heard that they gonna increase the number of days to 140.
Possible! The minimum wage also gets an increase every year
