Interview with billy barr, accidental captain among climate researchers

Out of boredom in 1974, billy barr (who spells his name with two lowercase b's) began taking notes. Every day he would record the low and high temperature, new snow, water equivalent and snowpack depth. Now he’s got stacks of yellowed notebooks brimming with a treasure trove of data that has made him a sort of accidental captain among climate watchers.
