Looking back at NBA Finals, assessing draft rumors and an NBA championship draft
In the latest edition of the Nuggets Ink podcast, beat writer Bennett Durando and sports editor Matt Schubert reconvene after the Boston Celtics took down the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA Finals. Among the topics discussed:
+ How good are the 2023-24 Boston Celtics after capping off a dominant title run? Did the voters get it right giving the Finals MVP to Jaylen Brown over Jayson Tatum?
+ As the Nuggets continue to bring in draft prospects for visits, are there any names emerging for Denver's first-round pick? There's a lot of smoke with Dayton big man DaRon Holmes II. Could it be that the Nuggets made him a promise? Or might they be looking for a backup PG?
+ Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's decision on opting out of the final year of his contract is coming up. Will the Nuggets guard wait until the last minute to make his decision?
+ Matt, Bennett and AAron draft the past 15 NBA champions to determine which teams rise to the top.

ℹ For those who blame the police for placing stop sticks on a occupied road: The crash of the stolen patrol car was not directly caused by the stop sticks, which are designed to slowly deflate the tires to prevent such crashes. The suspect crashed because he lost control of the vehicle while trying to avoid the stop sticks.

So many comments saying why do criminals even try to flee, because they never get away. Actually they get away more than you think. Going to say your chances are a lot less in a police car especially if they know there is a bunch of equipment in it like rifles, shot guns, vests, maybe flash bangs. Depending on the car. It’s not even about the GPS, search the one where guy is handcuff left in front seat of K9 patrol and steals it. He got away.. initially, they found the vehicle ditched off road in some field. They found him later. Kind of funny because the kid that stole it kept talking to the dog whenever he hit a bump or sharp turn saying thinks like “it’s ok, I am sorry.”.. anyhow so it’s possible. Like I was saying police cars less because of liability depending on what’s in the car. But if you just stole a random car. Really just drive over 100 in city and the police will end pursuit for safety. To many accidents causing innocent people dying. A lot of dash cams you hear the cop getting upset when told to cancel pursuit. Their egos won’t let them but to many law suits were Happening because cops egos wouldn’t listen to end pursuit and they would keep going sometimes lying about light traffic etc and than fatal accident. So now it’s like instantly a cancel. Unless it’s a known mass killer, terrorist, or a stolen cop car that has a bunch of weapons in it. The long chases we watch on CZcams haven’t you noticed are all either down long deserted country back roads or highways. Once they go in city they cancel.
