    It will work....... with so many disenfranchised from the corp world and policies along with ticket prices this guy couldn't have picked a better time........ people just want to ski . I see many more of these stories coming to be . Best wishes for those that put profit before people and good old heart into it.

    I skied Cuchara in 1997 while living in Colorado Springs. I found the ski resort delightful! Not so crowded as the “big” resorts and financially more reasonable. Best wishes and good luck on reviving Cuchara to its former glory!!❤️

      @Steve G the question was
      Is Cuchara Valley open now? Or Did is close down again? I did not ask about the chair 4 or chair 3.

      No, it didn’t reopen! The problem is that part of the state doesn’t get adequate snowfall every year. That was one of the reasons it closed in 2001. These people trying to reopen it, are going to be plagued with the same problem.

    • @khatske
      @khatske Před rokem +1

      @Skylizard1996 dam...I dunno why people don't install snow making machines or use snow fans to shoot snow out on the trails. It's simple facts that places like this need proper snow makers.

      @@khatske Then you come up with the millions of $$$$ it takes to first install and then run the snow making equipment.

    i have land in silver cliff/westcliffe, co :) Another location within an hour of that gem. would never have bought the land if not for housing prices in this state. man I gotta get an Avrame home on that land. that and conquistador are on my bc tour list on a good snow year. add monarch pass, canyon city, bishops castle, durango, the sand dunes and wolf creek. gotta explore soco. if you can keep it cheap, us millenials moving to the pueblo area soon will flock there. gen z too. lets face it. our last option in the state is gentrifying pueblo.

    Put down NEVERPLAST on a couple runs and you will not need snowmaking..
